I just wanted Bo Kho (Vietnamese Beef Stew) along with a baguette because my coworker kept raving about it! Out of luck since they were pretty much renovating/​rearranging the shop. I was able to hold a conversation with the owner/​manager and basically was telling me that by Monday it would be a restaurant. A small one, but they wanted to have more options to customers than just Banh-​Mi and Bubble Tea. Since I already stopped by and I live all the way out in Delaware, I just ordered their Number 1 Sandwich. All I can say is, I’ve had better. However, I’ll give this place another try at another time.

The banh mi is not very consistent or good like Café Vinh Long, but it’s a good spot with a lot of fresh options. For the Whitman neighborhood, it’s a great place to get sandwiches and quick snack.

Disappointingly bad banh mi and bubble tea. This might actually be the worst banh mi I’ve ever had.
Grilled pork itself was okay, but there wasn’t enough of it in the sandwich, along with not enough pickled daikon/​cilantro/​etc. It basically was a cucumber sandwich.
The fried tofu banh mi was the same story, except that the fried tofu was dry and flavorless.
The bubble tea had mushy bubbles, and the tea itself didn’t redeem anything.

I really want to like this place… however each time I go it gets worse. Last night I decided to get some banh mi as apposed to going to ba le… which is always my go to… I came here. I waited 25 – 30 mins (no exaggeration) for my sandwiches and what makes it bad is that I was the only customer there! The grilled pork was ok wish they gave me more than 5 pieces of it though… wasn’t worth the wait… the pork skin in the cold cut sandwich tasted like it went bad… No hate or shade to the employees there but it’s always good to know the product of the food! I won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend this place to any of my friends.

I kept finding these weird brown chunks in my avocado smoothie, I’m guessing it was from the pit? My sister ordered a milk tea, but she complained of it still having powder that hasn’t dissolved. We brought it back, and they gave us a refund but it was still the same quality. Maybe I’ll come back to try their sandwiches later on.
–UPDATED REVIEW–
The owner had contacted me and thankfully they were nice and apologized for the incident. I came back today and ordered the avocado smoothie again, and it’s great! One of the best customer services I’ve ever seen! Would recommend to my friends and family.

This store has a new owner (s). I used to order fried egg hoagie from the previous owner until one day I got very bad food poison from them. I stopped coming to the store. Since the new owner took over, this store has become my favorite. Everything looks different, seems spacier, clean and foods with drinks are very good. I have tried the bbq pork, the fried egg and the vegan hoagies. They are the best so far. Price is very reasonable. I love the avocado smoothie and their milk tea with boba. I don’t have to go to Chinatown to get my fix anymore.
