When we just waited 15 minutes(back in mid 2015), the attitude of their staff was very clear that they did not care, I mean, the manager was serving himself breakfast while customers waited! I approached the ‘manager’ and told him, listen to me, you have less than 4 customers in here and our wait has been long already, what’s up with this place? When he just gave me a look as if I was bothering him with his breakfast, and about to give me his BS, — we walked out, knowing they might have been told by the corporate office that these were their last days, so they knew they were closing, so they stopped providing any service. While heading to iHop across the freeway in Dublin, I told my friends, I guarantee you this place will be shut down, and it DID. I am so Glad they went out of business.

5 Stars for management, a clean interior full of natural light, and for honoring my Birthday Grand Slam(show your ID on your birthday and get a free meal!). It’s been a birthday tradition of mine for as long as I can remember, and I’ve been burned by other establishments in the past. Two eggs and a pile of hashbrowns mean a lot to a girl; I’m glad this location hasn’t forgotten that. Denny’s always sits in that weird Bermuda triangle of terrible ratings but constantly-slammed service. It’s rarely a time that Denny’s isn’t crackin’, and my Sunday lunch hour proved no exception. As such, it was tough going getting a coffee refill(sayonara, 1 star), but everything else was great. Their new«Slamtastic 4» menu is both hilarious and more affordable than their usual fare. I got the«Invisible Woman Grand Slam» — randomly a short stack of blueberry pancakes topped with banana & strawberry alongside the usual suspects for $ 8. The Value Menu subtly includes things like an entire Biscuits & Gravy breakfast for $ 4. :-O Had a great time at this location, and would definitely come back again! Thanks for kicking off my birthday the right way — berry pancakes before wine tasting is what being an adult is all about. ;-)

The most horrible Denny’s I have ever been too. The food was stale. The PANCAKES were heated in the microwave. Cmon pancakes are not at all hard to make fresh. The toast was soggy and probably toasted like some 10 days ago. Not recommended at all.

Completely unhappy with my order! First off I was very sick this morning and I stayed at Lakespur across the street, so I walked over very sick. I chose take out the restaurant, I ordered and a older man helped me he seemed as if he was tweaked out on something and he was clearly still under going training. I asked for a order of bacon and hash browns he told me he could not do so because it was not a meal. I thought that it was odd but I agreed he put a menu in my face and started pointing figuring he was gonna tell me what he suggests to get I had to read it my self with a silent pointing of the finger… He asked me if he could substitute the pancakes for eggs which was fine(because I don’t like pancakes.) he then tried to engaged conversation with me after I had paid by flirting with me… I was completely turned off and sick. I then waited 30 minutes for my take out order! He came over to me and said very sly«I hope whoever your giving this to likes pancakes!» I told him, I don’t like pancakes and I specifically told him this. He responded«oh well too late to change it nowl!!!» In total disgust I walked back to my hotel room as I opened up my box to find out the eggs were old and he had given me TWOVERYTINYSLIVERS of fatty bacon. My breakfast consisted of TWOTINYPIECESOFBACON. Do not come here! I was very disappointed! (He was mid 40’s reddish brown colored hair and facial hair with freckles covering his body.) must have been on meth or crack he was acting crazy and way to hyper.

Service is pathetic. Diner is empty and yet the service is bad. Ordered food and asked for coffee to drink. Got coffee after 40 mins. Waiting since an hour and still did not receive our order. I can understand if the diner is busy and order got late. But thats not the case. Its just ignorance. Really disappointing!!!

They served their purpose of providing with a venue for my late night eats and cravings. Their staff and service has gotten better since last year. I don’t place high expectations for them. The food was decent. I can’t say that I would visit them again in the near future.

I don’t even want to put one star. Service sucked so bad, we weren’t even seated, not even given a menu we had to get up and grab it ourselves. They kept looking over at us. One of the servers left without even going to our table. She was gone and there was only 2 servers. The WORSTPARTWASTHATTWOGUYSINTHELATETWENTIESCAMEINAFTERUSANDWERESERVED. We waited THIRTYMINSANDNOTHING. Worst service I have ever experience.

Denny’s offers good service, fresh coffee, and very reasonable prices. The Grand Slam is the best breakfast deal around.

Unilocal, could you please provide an option to give zero stars to this place Went to Denny’s in Pleasanton on Friday night with my wife and kid. Enter Connie to usher us in and take our orders. Time 10.20 pm We wait. the coffee we ordered didn’t come, people who came after us starts getting food. We try to call the lady and she is not even coming or looking at our side. Purposefully ignoring ??? Time 10.50 pm; I tell my wife we will go away. But my son is hungry — the lady is busy serving food to others. I take my son to rest room and come back. I see her on the way, she just goes into the kitchen. Now, time is 11.15pm; we got really upset and ask her what happened– she just looks at us blankly as if we are strangers. Then says«I forgot»; no apology nothing — we told it has been an hour and you kept even our kid waiting for food. Great answer back from Connie — «let me tell you something to make you understand, I was serving this side and I forgot about you». And blankly looking at us — no rush to get us things. Not even the coffee. Just a rude response and nothing else. By this time we are in no mood to eat and I told we would like to leave. Ok comes the reply you can go or do whatever you want. No one to complain or escalate this behavior. It was very clear that this was purposeful. So, I don’t know if this behavior was because we were Asians. You could probably display does not serve Asians or Asians will be treated with racist attitude. Thanks for spoiling a good Friday; and what ever be the reason for this purposeful humiliation and treatment, I don’t know if this was this specific lady’s attitude — but you guys at Denny’s should understand this — letting people in, taking their order, purposefully ignoring then later, making them wait for more than an hour not serving anything and rudely asking us to go or do what ever we want at the end of it– that’s the worst you guys could ever do.

Absolute worst Denny’s I’ve ever been too. My daughters’ order; a kids grand slam completely the wrong order. My husbands bacon cheeseburger no bacon?! Gravy in my sons corn. Forgot half of our order. No silverware had to ask for it and my Milkshake… You guessed it runny. Rude completely rude service. A waste of money. Running to target to get pepto and ginger ale now. Don’t waste your time or money people!!!

Me and my boyfriend come here whenever we get off work around 9pm or 10. The service is always excellent. I am not one of those who expects a 5 star restaurant treatment for this kind of establishment as i know that the staff are doing their best. Tonight, we ordered 2 moons over hammy with hashbrown. They both came out wrong for some reason the kitchen made a lumberjack sandwich. The waitress helped us correct our order and made a new one. And the manager was really helpful as well making sure everything came out right. Unfortunately, mine came out wrong again but it wasn’t big of a deal. They just forgot to put cheese on our hasbrown. But everything was cool, service excellent, waitress did a great job. Also the manager took out my order from the bill and charge us for only one which is really nice! Thank you guys we’ll be back here often

I find it funny how their monthly maintenance that shuts down the restaurant for one hour in the early morning, is a weekly occurrence. And every time I walk in during these supposed monthly maintenance, there’s nothing but staff just sitting around and doing nothing. This place used to be really nice but lately it’s been going down the hole. The staff is rude, the food is no longer enjoyable, and the clientele in that area has declined. Looks like it’s time to find a new place to hang out after work.

Cleanest Denny’s I’ve been to in the Bay Area. Swung by here because Black Bear had the longest line and we were starving. Most impressive thing about this location was the service. Javier was first class! Super attentive, polite and welcoming. Moons over my hammy(sub turkey) did not disappoint.

Wish I could rate 0!!! We go here for store meetings on Saturdays and they seemed nice. But today I got take out for myself and my co-worker and we called in the order. The people on the phone were super rude, and when I got there I SAW them messing up our order. We are vegetarians and ordered the nachos and asked for no meat. I saw them pouring meat on the order and asked them nicely to correct it. They were super rude about it and acted like what I was asking was so abnormal and they did not want to do it. Then they placed my soup in the to go bag so it was on its side and spilling all over! I showed them it was spilling and got rolled eyes and additude all around! Needless to say we will be changing our Saturday meeting places from now on.

This Denny’s location is open 24 hours(I’m not sure if all Denny’s are) and located right off of the 580 freeway. So I can understand why people would stop here for some food(passing by in the middle of the night). Boyfriend and I wanted breakfast one morning and he chose Denny’s. I’m not sure if I’ve ever eaten breakfast at Denny’s. I feel like I’ve only been here in my younger clubbing days after a night of dancing and drinking. Anyways, back on track. We came here for breakfast on a Tuesday morning. There were a few tables that had customers, one waitress working the restaurant. She was very prompt with coming over and getting our drink orders. I was looking over the menu and realized that they had changed/updated it since I’ve been there. I guess that’s a good thing, since I haven’t been there in years. They have their $ 2, $ 4, $ 6, $ 8 dollar menu with both breakfast and lunch/dinner items on it. They also have these different choices for grand slam options and healthier choice items. I wasn’t really going for anything healthy. I wanted a traditional grand slam with some sausage, which is exactly what I ordered. The food came out in a timely manner. The food was okay, but what I’m actually giving a good review on is the service. Our waitress was really nice and efficient with everything. Also, I’m assuming the manager, came over after we were done asked if everything was okay. In all of the times that I’ve gone to Denny’s never once I have a seen a manager. It was a nice change and I thought they did well with their customer service. Food, eh… I’d probably choose another place over it. But if you’re into Denny’s, then this is a good place to come for breakfast.

This is by far the worse dennys i have every been to. There is a Dennys right by my house that is consistently good. Buuuuut this place is horrendous. The girl who took my phone order spoke as if she had no education at all. and couldn’t even take an omelet order. She put me on hold three times to first find a pen, then find someone to enter the information in the computer. By the end of ordering I was exhausted and frustrated because I have had to give her my order over three times. What makes this whole thing worse is that my food came out exactly they way I said I didn’t want it. I asked for lightly browned potatoes and light cheese on my omelet. I got extra browned hashbrowns and extra cheese. my other ontrae came out and the potatoes were under cooked and my side salad was nowhere to be found. I am not a difficult customer(most times) i think. But this just took the cake. Dennys is one step away from being fast food… and its not rocket science I work customer service and maybe the girl was new. It had been a long work day and I just wanted to get something good to eat… I was very disappointed to say the least. IHOP is right down the street and a way better option.
