Our experience with Heather from Black Radish as our personal chef was BAD. She scheduled a time to meet us, then cancel on us last minute even before we meet. And when we finally had our first meeting, she did it 3 more times actually!!! She was really unprofessional and kept rescheduling the day she’d cook for us. On top of that, the day she was going to bring our food, she ended up canceling our service all together. Even though we were really nice to her and kept giving her chances. She wasted a month worth of our time with all of this.

Chef Heather of Black Radish recently catered my 40th birthday. Her service and food were AMAZING!!! I am gluten free due to an allergy and wanted food that I could enjoy as well as my guests. She made a complete Hawaiian style menu that was out of this world. I think each of my guests commented on how great the food was… if you’ve eaten some gluten free food, you know that it’s not always as tasty as the gluten versions… but not Chef Heather’s food… It was also a nice treat to have our event catered. I love to cook so I can be a hard critic of others but I would hire Black Radish again in a heart beat! The two servers that she brought with her provided outstanding service as well… what can I say I was very impressed all around. I highly recommend her food and service.

I went to a holiday party at a music studio last month and it was catered with the most freshest, flavorful chili i have tasted in a while. There was also a chicken enchilada pie that was out of this world! Enough to feed more than the amount of people there, that’s for sure.
This was no «Portland Ordinary» ethnic food that I complain about in my other reviews… this had real authentic Mexican taste. I found out that one of musicians that was there jammin was the Chef/​Owner of this small catering biz. I’ll be surely hittin her up when i’m ready to do my large party and i don’t feel like cooking.
