Great experience I’m pretty out of shape due to recent medical issues and need to get my butt back in gear. Staff was super friendly and helpful I loved that they looked at the way I was and recommended the best shoe for me. I tried several pairs and found some great shoes! I will be back for sure!

I’ve been remiss in posting a review for this business as I went a few months ago when I started my health goals and needed some really good shoes. I was given many options by a very helpful gentleman, they had a childrens play area to keep my 4 year old happily entertained while I literally ran around the shop trying shoes. I ended up with wide shoes a half size larger than I ever would have purchased on my own. 2 months after purchase and they are the most comfortable pair of shoes I’ve ever owned. They were maybe $ 20 more than I would have spent in a regular big box mart sports store? Totally and wholeheartedly worth the extra money. I won’t buy my running shoes anywhere else.

I am new to running and about to start the Couch to 5K program. I am overweight and I was nervous about going to a running store and being judged or discouraged. The employee at Foot Traffic was inviting and welcoming the moment I walked in. He had me walk on the treadmill, which he recorded, and then watched it with me while explaining my gait and what I should look for in shoes. He then had me try on seven different pairs of shoes to find the best fit. He was knowledgeable, funny, and encouraging. I left with a new pair of shoes and even more drive to run a 5K. I will definitely be back!

This is the second stop on my quest for a new pair of running shoes, and it will be my go-to shop in the years to come. The store is staffed by some of the nicest, genuinely helpful folks you’ll find. The guy who helped me this afternoon wasn’t even scheduled today. Great at asking the right questions and educating you on your purchase. The selection is about 3x larger than another local shoe shop I checked, a credit to a locally-owned shop.

The best service I have ever received at a specialty running store. The associates are knowledgeable, quick at helping you and don’t waste your time. They are personable and help you from gait analysis through point of sale. I have bought 3 pairs of shoes from them and this is the only running store I will shop at from now on.

I love foot traffic. I’ve been shopping here since I started running consistently — five years ago now. They are supportive, helpful and friendly. You really get the feeling that they love running and want to be sure you love it, too. nice selection of shoes, apparel and ‘fuel’ for running. Ladies, the sports bra fit chart in the fitting room is life changing!

I don’t know if this review is appropriate for Unilocal, but I wanted to encourage people to give this store business. Yesterday, I was at the Sellwood post office, mailing Mother’s Day cards and a package. Being the Thursday before the holiday, I was getting in just under the wire for 3 day delivery. I was in a bit of a rush, having class at PSU in an hour. After waiting in line and telling the cashier what I wanted, I realized I’d left my wallet at home. I kept patting my various cargo pants pockets and saying, «I can’t believe I took it out… I was just at Fred Meyers and must have left it at home when I unpacked.» I had about $ 6 on me, so I told her to ring up the card I was buying and two stamps so I could mail both of the cards. I figured I’d have to mail the candy to my mom the next day, and I knew it would arrive late. The man in line behind me stepped up and said, «You can put the package on mine. I own the Foot Traffic on 13th. You can drop the money by there when you can. And if you don’t, then I just mailed your mom a Mother’s Day gift!» I thanked him profusely and I’m heading over now to drop the cash and a thank you gift card. His name is Shawn, and he is a Good Samaritan! I really like to send business to people who are nice. And this is about as nice as you can get!

Excellent service! Kelli did a very quick gate analysis and watched me run in a couple different pairs of shoes and quickly educated me and provided me with 3 different options. We then narrowed it down to the most comfortable pair of running shoes I have ever owned. Kelli was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend Foot Traffic, especially the Sellwood location!

I guess it’s about time I write a review of this place. Since opening, it’s my go to running supply store. Mostly I just stop by to buy Gu and recovery drinks, but they have such a good selection of running wear, that I usually end up buying my wife a cool running shirt or something. My daughter loves the 10 foot tall sasquatch statue and I’d love to try the beer they give out during the community running events if I could ever get there.(hint. the tap is hidden in one of the display shoes on the wall) Friendly, knowledgeable staff, good prices, good selection. A welcome addition to our hood.
