Holy cow, score! They were handing out gift cards for $ 10 off and $ 25 off, maybe more for the first so many shoppers today. I got a $ 25 off coupon, plus they had a lot of ‘buy one get one half’ off deals. Came away with 4 pairs of pants for a total of $ 89. Awesome!
Plus, they have a parking lot, albeit small. Definitely like this location over the one downtown and one at the airport. Even an employee here said the one at the airport is much more expensive.
Nice employees, easy in easy out, and awesome prices. Will definitely be back for more!

The prices are so low that I feel guilty shopping here. It’s much lower than even their employee store in the NW. And even better — the quality is very good. They are head and shoulders better than stores like Old Navy where the clothes are cheap in price but then turn to rags after 1 or 2 washes.
Over the last several months I’ve purchased about $ 500 worth of t shirts, pants, outerwear and shoes here and am still happy with the purchases many months later. The clothes stand up to regular wash and wear very well. And they keep giving you coupons for 20% or more discount the next time you shop.
$ 500 at most outerwear stores might get you a handful of items at best. Here it’ll get you a closets worth, which is what I needed having moved here last year from a state that really has 1 season year round.
The staff consists of young, energetic people who are always happy to help. I’ve been to this location half a dozen times and have never met a surly worker even when it gets crazy busy. I’m guessing they get great benefits or killer deals on the merchandise.

Just left there and got perfect service and an unbelievable deal. This isn’t the first time I’ve left feeling that way.
Columbia makes quality, durable gear that fits and looks great. I use their outdry shoes at work in a cidery and my feet never get wet, or sore.
Sellwood is a friendly neighborhood and this store embodies that. Every employee is first class, and the outlet prices make you feel like you’re stealing.

Ups to Sydney (sp?) for excellent customer service. She helped me locate the windbreaker I was set on purchasing, but then she rummaged through the clearance rack for me to get one of the same style and size but a better color and cheaper price. Amazing.

I love Columbia Sportswear, always have and always will. This location is a great little addition to the neighborhood, and we always stop in when we’re nearby. They have plenty of items to choose from, and always have great deals. I never leave empty handed. The only downside is the lack of parking! It is so difficult to find a parking spot, so prepare to search for street parking a block or two over.

Love the products, love the store, love the staff! Everyone was friendly and helpful and the store is pretty cool. They have great prices on everything and even offer some «irregulars» at deeper discounts. Definitely check them out!

I was killing time and thought I’d stop in to look around. I wasn’t really wanting to buy anything… as I bought some things over Christmas. Nothing jumped out at me, but I did have 3 customer service people ask me i I was ok. I did a quick look and then out… it’s all good.

Great deals to be had here! Prices– slashed! Selection — wider than expected! Service– great too! What a find. I picked up two zip tops, a fleece hoodie, a cowl neck top that’s a gorgeous color and perfect jacket for me– even a fleece for the hubs– for slightly more than a Benjamin! Quite the deal! This will be a regular stop for me when in P-​town.

Nice shop and good price … We got the really good deal of buy 3 get 1 free which is very good for family of four like us… And we got $ 30 voucher for the next purchase. So we definately comeback to this shop again. Did i mention the good service? They are awsome

Where do you go in Portland when you need a good pair of hiking pants?! Well, Columbia, duh. Stopped in one cold afternoon and found myself staring at a WHOLE WALL of active-​wear pants. There were 5 styles to choose from, all varying in waist bands, leg width, and color (black and grey). I found a style that seemed comfortable for long hikes and just went with it.
Store is well organized, sizes are easy to find, dressing room is clean, and service is GREAT. And gotta say… my pants are pretty nifty and lightweight – perfect for long, treacherous hikes!

first of all… i am a columbia girl to the core. their products are amazing quality, innovative, and quite trendy and flattering. every winter gear item I have is columbia and I can say from heavy snow coats, rain jackets, wind breakers, sweat shirts, to even casual clothes… its all fantastic! their trademarked «omni _​_​_​» lines are great. i have three different ones — omni heat, shield, wind and I know these coats are going to last me forever.
so with that said… couple amazing columbia gear with this outstanding outlet and its like sensory overload for a deal hunter. and then, NO SALES TAX… ahhhh!!! I think I saved over $ 400 on a hardcore rain slicker, fuzzy purple fitted (SUPER flattering form), hoodie, and warm gloves. on top of the already discounted items, pretty much everything was an additional 30% off. outdoor gear shopping heaven!
this outlet is also massive with two levels (guys stuff on lower /​accessories), women and children upstairs.
the staff is a case of the… way too trying to be helpful all the time «can I help you with anything.» they need to take a course on body language, and if need help I will make eye contact and motion to you. i was bothered like every 5 minutes (some by the same person when I already said I was fine). but then when I needed a dressing room unlocked, no one could be found O_​–
this still is so dangerous. its a good thing I dont live nearby. but you bet I will be dropping by anytime im back in portland! now, i just need to move or travel more to cold conditions because I sure don’t need any of the awesome columbia gear in san diego.

Holy hot discounts.
So I’ve lived in Portland for about a year and had not yet dabbled in any practical and durable outdoor gear. I realized heading into the winter that just foxing with a pleather jacket and a killer pea coat were not ideal. Insert rain jacket shopping trip.
I had no idea what to expect by way of selection, nor am I especially familiar with their products aside from seeing their garments walking the beat around town. I am the commonwealth in size for certain items like jackets and shoes so I was not super hopeful in finding adult female larges in jackets but these dudes actually had a fair amount. Plain. Black. Large. Nailed it. Lots of choices!
I ended up snagging a cute and legit rain jacket with a ticket price of $ 110, marked down to $ 49.98 with an additional… WAIT FOR IT…30% off. I basically stole this jacket.
I browsed the women’s shoe section and found lots of deals that I’ll consider more closely next time.

I’ve been living in Portland for almost two years and I still don’t have a waterproof jacket. I ended up going here since I heard about their pretty good deals on outerwear.
It’s a pretty decent sized outlet store. First floor is for men’s and footwear, while the second floor is for women’s and children’s. I immediately went to the clearance rack, and long story short, I got this awesome waterproof jacket that was originally priced at $ 140 for $ 32. It was actually supposed to be a bit more than that, but if you sign up for their rewards program, you get an extra 10% off your purchase (which I did.)
It didn’t take me forever to find that jacket since the whole store was organized nicely and the racks weren’t messy. I didn’t need help from the staff, but the ones I did talk to were nice.
I will most definitely be back when I need more outerwear (which I will most likely do.) They have these nice fleece pullovers for $ 19, which looks good enough for holiday gifting. Guess some people are going to get Columbia pullovers for Christmas!

I recently discovered the annual sidewalk sale. I still have not quite recovered. The prices were incredible. The lines to check out, however, were interminable. Definitely go with a friend. You will need someone to share your pain. Make sure it’s someone you like. Otherwise that line could do-​in a less-​than-​solid friendship. Many items are sold at about 70% off, and apparently that gives people license to be total asshats about hiding clothes in the wrong size section of racks. Be sure to browse the racks completely, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

It is what it is… an outlet store. Finding something here at a reasonable price is hit and miss. That being said, I’ve come here on most of my trips to Portland and usually find one thing that’s a good deal. Never come with a set item in mind though, stock changes quickly and prices fluctuate.
One thing I’ve always had my eye on each time I came were the shell hiking packs with the bladders. Most of the time, they’re %50 or more off, but the selection is small. I check them out every time I come, hoping to find the size I want, with a bladder, with a heavy discount. It took 4 or 5 trips, but I got one… perhaps persistence is all that is needed.
If you live in the area and like Columbia, I don’t see a reason not to drop by, unless you can get passes to the Employee store.

Can be tough to find parking but we managed to snag a space around the back.
For an outlet store this place is well laid out and pretty well organized. Some items were only moderately discounted but others were a bargain.
Hubby snagged some hiking shoes and I picked up a couple of tops. Helpful and friendly staff too. I took advantage of the 10% discount by signing up to their email program.
Worth the trip to score some quality gear at good prices!

As far as outlet stores go, I consider this Columbia outlet pretty decent. But honestly, that’s not saying a ton. I don’t have much of an affinity for outlet stores. They used to be rad, but now it seems that most of the crap you find at outlets are end-​lots, unsuccessful colorways, irregulars and stuff that’s made specifically for the outlet (cheaper and not as good a deal).
I stopped in here with some out of town guests on the hunt for some deals. There seem to be plenty of deals to be found here, just nothing that was exciting enough for me to want. The wife picked up a nice vest but they had nothing similar in men’s sizes. I spent a good 30 minutes digging through racks and found stuff that was either not my style or not a great colorway.
It could be that Columbia simply doesn’t do it for me, but I really dig a lot of the stuff I see at their regular retail outlets, so I’m not sure that’s it. I think that despite the deep selection here, it really does fall in to that outlet-​store void for me — either it doesn’t fit right, seems cheap, or was designed by an intern.
Staff and service here are on point. The aisles are narrow, so I’d try to visit on a weekday if at all possible. Frankly, if I were going to make some purchases, I’d try to find a pass to the employee store.

They’ve remodeled since ’09, when I was last here. Now the upstairs area is all women’s and youth, while the shoes share the ground floor space with the men’s. Happened upon the semi-​annual clearance, so picked up another hat (cute, but certainly do not need), and a few other small items.
The store is much brighter than before, and I still dont get how they used to fit all that into just the level that you walk into from Starbucks.
Prefer this location over the 3 monroe parkway in LO. Though certainly easier parking there, I love districts, and hitting up New Seasons after shopping was a regular thing for me.
I know there are those who feel that the quality of «Gert, granny mama’s» is far inferior to North Face and such. I dont’ get it… there is Columbia in places like Hong Kong and Prague… go figure.
PS An employee store?! whhhaaa? Off the 26? how now brown cow?!!

Some people say Columbia gear isn’t of high quality. As a newbs, I don’t know have a comparison to know the difference. All I know is that my newbie attire (please see business photo) kept me toasty and HOT in last Saturday night’s 15 degrees on Timberline.

Please see business photos. I got all of that newbie attire for $ 120. Everything (minus the hat) was omni-​heat thermal reflective. The jacket alone is originally priced at $ 210. I also saved the extra 10% by providing my email address for their discount club. MAJOR WIN.

Desperate time = desperate shopping trip.
I’m in need of a new waterproof coat to replace my old 4 years old coat. I checked other stores and they want too damn much for a coat. We took the Zipcar to this Columbia outlet and I got a new coat!
I tried on different ones and some of the more expensive ones didn’t look right on me. It was difficult to find the right size of coat when your figure is like a giant but short ball. None of the sales person tried to help me. I figured out on my own which coat worked for me.
The price tag was $ 49.99 for a Black waterproof and warm coat with a hoodie (a must for this city!). If you signed up for their email list, you will get 10% off. My total was $ 44.99 and Jesse found a $ 5 beanie. The price was right and the procedure was painless. I will come here for my future coats, but for now I’m happy with my newish coat.

Very nice, well-​organized, tidy discount Columbia store in Sellwood, definitely worth checking out for 30−80% off of regular prices. Not the larger selection of the big Columbia stores, obviously, but a good enough variety to browse and great for basics like windbreakers, tshirts, exercise gear, and hats/​gloves/​scarves. Some really great deals on heavier winter coats, though not a huge range of sizes available. Round out the selection with shoes and a kids’ section, and this is a pretty darn nice store.
Oh hello, early Christmas shopping… everyone’s getting socks and scarves this year. And if you’re into the college-​gear thing… they had tons of UO/​OSU stuff as well. Try to park on the street if you can — the tiny parking lot is kinda hazardous.
