Massage Services:

Signature Medicine Tree Massage

This service combines deep tissue and Swedish massage techniques to target your problem areas, relieve pain and increase your energy level. This is my signature massage because it touches on both pain relief and relaxation for your body; a perfect combination, leaving you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

Relaxation Massage

Long flowing strokes will increase your circulation and melt away stress from everyday life. This session allows your body time to decompress and your mind to slow down, leaving you in complete bliss.

Therapeutic Massage

This service focuses on your aches and pains through deep tissue techniques with a structural frame of bodywork. If you are living with chronic pain, dealing with a past injury, wanting to work on your posture, or in need of specific work, this is the session for you.

Prenatal Massage

Specialized massage treatment for pregnant mother’s going through posture change and sore muscles.

Therapeutic massage is an excellent source for support, relief and relaxation during pregnancy and beyond. Not only does massage help to relieve physical pain and strain. Massage can help to create an easy, healthy pregnancy, and a confident, comfortable mother-to-be. Prenatal massage sessions are done in side-lying position at MTM.

History

Established in 2013.

Amy Gwartney LMT #20 514

I graduated from East West College of Natural Healing 800 hour program in 2013 with a focus on deep tissue, Swedish relaxation, and myofacial techniques. I also chose to study Craniosacral and structural bodywork techniques and enjoy incorporating them into sessions.

I enjoy working with specific pains on my clients with deep tissue and myofascial techniques along with passive stretching to increase range of motion and function of the joints. Techniques are mixed to suite each client’s expectations and needs for the session in order to relieve pain and discomfort.

Meet the Business Owner

Amy G.

Business Owner

My passion for healthcare was sparked in 2007 when I moved to Portland, Oregon to study Psychology. When I found massage in 2011 and learned the deep effects of bodywork on all levels of the body, I knew that this was the key for enabling healing. The opportunity to be a part of that for my clients is profound and I humbly respect every client’s walk in life.

In my free time I escape to the woods for hiking and hot springs as often as possible. I love everything about this wonderful city of Portland and am so grateful and proud to be a part of the amazing community.

Thank you for your interest in Medicine Tree Massage. I look forward to working with you.
