Mink offers specialized customer service to help you find your perfect outfit. Staff have been trained to to fit all body types. We all have challenges finding clothes off the rack. Whether your petite, working with a new «baby body, «or just want some good advice as to what colors you should be wearing and some help with «outfit management,» Mink is the place for you. The sales staff is HONEST. We don’t offer ingenuous comments for a sale.

Mink specializes in locally made clothing (we have our own clothing brand designed and made in Portland) and other smaller brands that are made in the USA.

History

Established in 2007.

The business has been a dream of Carla Mink’s for many years. Carla had been working in the apparel industry for over 15 years, specializing in buying and store management. She is a shopping enthusiast, and loved shopping at small stores, but often time felt the service missed the mark. She loved the idea of an intimate setting with staff that feel like friends throwing clothing over the curtain of a fitting room, everyone participating in the ultimate game of dress-​up! Mink was born.

Mink’s first location was on upper Hawthorne. The store was only 450 square feet. It quickly outgrew that location. In February of 2008 Mink expanded to 3418 SE Hawthorne and tripled it’s floor space and inventory. In 2014 Carla Mink launched our own house line, which has since become our best-​selling line in the store. Today the business is thriving and Carla spends a lot of time with her staff on the sales floor helping customer’s play dress up.

With over 15 years of fashion experience, my shop is a boutique experience like none other. Mink’s inventory is carefully researched based on where it’s made, how it’s made, how soft the hand, how it will drape, which body type it will look best on, and so much more! Shopping at Mink is easy and fun (I’ve done most of the work for you) and it’s simple to find your new favorite outfit.
