Capt. Bill is great! My wife, two sons, and daughter all went out for a combo trip for salmon and sturgeon. Bill told us that salmon were «iffy» but we made a good try at trolling for them. Bill was a great guide providing education ranging from fishing to Portland and conversation on many topics to this family from New England. We switched to sturgeon and within 2 minutes my 19 year old daughter landed her first one… a beauty at 4−½ ft. And over 45 pounds. The entire family took turns landing fish after fish and my son landed a 5 footer over 65 pounds. Capt. Bill even stayed out a bit longer with us as the action was hot and steady. I highly recommend Bill and did a fair amount of research before booking with him. I wouldn’t hesitate to rebook with him. As for the salmon, there were a number of other boats out there, and it just wasn’t happening anywhere. We’ll get ‘em next time.

This was exactly what i was looking for, a Guide service that will take care of everything. We literally showed up at the dock with a few snacks of our own, got on the boat, and caught fish! Bill set the lines, helped us reel in the fish, netted, stored and even cleaned the fish for us (2 large Salmon). We had a great time, my girlfriend wants to go back again.

Went Salmon Fishing to start the day and in no time I landed my first ever Chinook ! An amazing feeling for a guy that is used to catching rainbow trout. We ended the day Sturgeon fishing in one of Bills secret spots … Ended up catching and releasing over 20 sturgeon!!! Quite the workout as my arms feel like an old worn out Stretch Armstrong doll. Bill really takes the time to show his customers the how’s and whys of fishing and there is never an awkward silence on his boat. Plenty of good fishing stories to be told. I highly recommend booking your next fishing trip with North Oregon Guide Service … It’s a blast.

Had a great day on the river with my father and brother. Bill was very knowledgeable! We caught 2 huge Salmon!!! I highly recommend taking a trip with him!!!
But leave your bananas at home! haha we found out they are bad luck had to toss them over board! The trip was so much fun!!!

We took Bill’s fishing tour on the Columbia. AVOID him at all cost! Poor customer service. He ended the trip because he wanted to go in. Wasn’t interested in providing or focusing on customer service. Doesn’t care about his clients. He should not be taking people out on the water if he doesn’t care about people. He is in a cutsomer service industry and doesn’t focus on the needs of customers.
If you want a boat ride, he’s your man.
If you want to catch fish, learn how to do it, get instructions, guidance and learn about how to fish for salmon, find another guide.

Bill is the best! Hubby and I went on our first guided trip with him. His knowledge and his experience paid off! He took to the fish and we caught ‘em! It couldn’t of been any easier than that. He is so personable and has such a great sense of humor. He made the trip special and memorable. We will be booking all our fishing trips with Bill and we recommend that you do as well!

Captain Bill is awesome. Any day fishing beats work… but he’s got something special going on. Expect a stress free day, knowledgeable captain, excellent gear and great environment. If you hit it like we did expect some fish as well! Bill is professional and caters to the client. From the seasoned Springer fisherman to the novice you’ll feel right at home. Bring your go pro! This is the best guided fishing trip you will ever go on! From the ease of booking the trip on their website to the trip itself, what a great service! We went on a Dad’s fishing excursion and had a blast. We had no issues hooking plenty of Sturgeon while the other boats in the area were catching nothing. I’m thinking it may have had something to do with the «Fishy dance» the owner bill helped us with!
