I absolutely love this place. The second we walked in the door we were greeted by a very friendly bartender. He was so helpful explaining all the beers on tap, he even suggested the perfect pizza to go with the beers we ordered. We ordered the Ghost Pie Pizza with thin crust… So delish! I also need to give a shout out to the tasty garlic knots! So good. From the wonderful service to the great atmosphere I would highly recommend giving this place a try. I personally can’t wait to go back!

stopped by here for a super quick drink. While waiting for the comedy club to open. My wife ordered the Paloma and I had a Jameson whiskey and ginger ale.
Both drunk were a good strong pour and they tasted absolutely fantastic.

Came here for Pizza Week and had a few slices of the the Ballelujah. SO GOOD! Actually me and my partner’s favorite slice of the week so far. Seems like a really cool spot to hang out at too, will definitely be back to sit down and order a whole pie and some beers with our buddies soon! What a great find!

Great beer and the garlic knots are amazing. Very friendly and great service. Will be coming back.

I gave this place a 4 last year but now after visiting again I’m dropping it to a 3 star. The house brews are still good, but the pizza is still sad. The pizza looks awesome and has nice thin crust, but for some baffling reason it tastes like cardboard and the flavors are off. It’s disappointing when there is so much potential and yet it flops.

Food is very good — pizza is delicious, Alfredo with chicken is a solid meal !!
environment is rustic, old warehouse conversion — fireplace inside for rainy chilly days –open glass bay doors to outdoor seating on warm sunny days.

Really Old Town? You have to do better than this to earn business in this town with all the competition.
I start all restaurants with 5 stars. I’ll subtract 1 for each detractor.
Strike 1 — We checked in. The host pointed at a specific booth. «That one will be available in 10 minutes. Go ahead and get a drink at the bar and I’ll grab you when it becomes available.» In 10 minutes we look over, he is seating SOMEONE ELSE AT OUR BOOTH! Told the bartender, it’s okay though, I guess we’ll wait for the next one.
Strike 2 — Salad was TERRIBLE. They just threw a some greens on a plate. Literally. Nothing to it. (Their ranch dressing was pretty good though.)
Strike 3 — Pizza was good. Not excellent, but good. Tasted good. The strike is the dough. Was the doughiest pizza I have ever had, other than the Papa Murphy’s my dad cooks at home and has no idea what he’s doing. Recommendation: cook your pizza longer!!! Cracker crust is what the majority strive for.
Strike 4 — Beer was average, nothing special.
To offset strike 4, staff was nice enough and atmosphere was solid.
Lastly, strike 5, little kids in the restroom flipping lights on and off while I was using the facilities. Not cool!!!
I’ll end up subtracting 4 here, unfortunately.
I really wanted to like this place, but honestly the experience just wasn’t there. I will not return.

Met a large group of friends here, and they had the upstairs space reserved for us. The space was terrific with beautiful wood beams, but it was definitely warm up there. Apparently they don’t have AC upstairs, and even on a cool winter night it was about ten degrees warmer than the main floor. Service was friendly and attentive. We had salads, pizza, beer, and sodas pre-​ordered, and they were set up and ready for us. The server kept us informed as she ran for additional pizzas and beer. Unfortunately, the pizza was uninspired. Although we had a variety for the group, they really were flavorless, with thick crust and way too much cheese. There was no impact whatsoever from the red sauce. They use mini pepperoni, which seems kind of cheap to me. Not impressed with the salads either, but the garlic knots were delicious as advertised. I’d go back for beers, but not for pizza.

Came in here for Zwicklemania yesterday and it was awesome! The beer was really tasty, especially the Chocolate Chili Chupacabra and the pizza was amazing! They were super busy and we never once felt neglected. Our bartender Sherry was great and knew a ton about the beers.

I wish good restaurants would staff up for busy weekend evenings! Food was ok, service was slow and not especially friendly. We got there around 5:45 on a Saturday– not even dinner rush hour but no one so much as looked at us for a good five minutes. Not even to say «hey! We’ll be with you as soon as we can.» That was discouraging. Everyone has an off night, but the whole place?

Came here with a large group for Pizza, Salad, and Sodas. We made a reservation. We pre ordered the pizzas and salads. We had about 45 people. The first 4 pizzas went Fast. The next 2 pizzas took another 15 mins. Then another 10 mins for the next 2 pizzas. Then we sat for more than 20 more mins for the next 2 pizzas. For pre ordering the pizzas, and having a reservation this service was lacking, at best. We don’t blame the server. Obviously the restaurant was not prepared, or we were put on the back burner after the salads.

Fettuccine Alfredo took 40 minutes, which may have been because the cook had to run across the street to Safeway to buy the cheapest sauce and instant noodles to make it. Nevertheless, I’d rather not cook and clean while on vacation, and I certainly wasn’t expecting handmade noodles of flour and egg; it lacked any evidence of Romano and Parmesan cheese with no evidence of butter. It’s a bar after all.

The pizza was delicious! I also tried the Caesar salad which was good, but too garlicky and not creamy enough for my taste… I didn’t hate it but I wouldn’t have it again. Great beer, and awesome mixed drinks. I had a Cosmo and it was wonderful — great taste and not too sugary, you could tell there was alcohol in it!

So I love beer. I love good beer. Old Town Brewing has some good beer. The single hop ale made with simcoe hops was easy drinking, the orange grove wit would be tasty for a spring BBQ, and their Paulies Not Irish Red was smooth and subtle. In fact all of their craft beers had a very safe and careful flavor which is great for NW craft brew drinking newbies. Plus they have a unique way of either a) making you drink as much as you can or b) as fast as you can by playing the worst genre of 80s pop music possible. Definitely worth visiting and great for getting your feet wet on the craft brew arena.

We were waiting for the Bye & Bye to open for lunch so we stopped here for a drink and appetizer. It opened at 11:30am so we were good to go.
A ton of seating, upstairs and downstairs, very awesome. We sat at the bar because there was no one else there and we didn’t want to stay long. My +1 ordered the seasonal Sleepwalker IPA, he ordered this instead of the regular because it was more hoppy then the regular. He was very happy with it, said it was delicious and very hoppy so he loved it.
We ordered the garlic knots, they were huge! I was not expecting them to be as large as they were. We’ve had garlic knots before and man, these are double the sizes. So so good. We only ate half of them because this was supposed to be our appetizer, not meals! But great flavors. Service was good, bartender was very sweet and attentive.
It was our only brewery so I’m happy this was s good place!

For the past couple of years we would occasionally visit this place for the meatball sandwich and beer, even though the service is sometimes awful. Occasionally we would have them deliver, but they can’t ever figure out whether we’re in their delivery area (although houses more than 15 blocks passed us away from the restaurant are in area) — I think maybe it’s an issue with our neighborhood not being «gentrified» enough for them, there’s really no other explanation, but I digress.
Tonight is probably the last time we’ll have OTB for a good long while. Tonight I ordered the alfredo pasta, and it tasted fishy. Not like, strange… rather like actual fish. I have no idea how they made a plain alfredo taste like fish, and I almost certainly don’t *want* to know, but I couldn’t eat any of it, and now I don’t think I’ll be able to eat alfredo from anywhere for a long time. It was that bad. I only had a couple bites, and then without saying anything asked my dining partner to try my pasta, and the response was the same: «Why does it taste like FISH?!» It’s in the garbage now.
It’s almost like they somehow managed to focus all of the disgust they have for their customers into a single pasta dish! Having tried it, I can state confidently that they really can’t stand us. That meatball sandwich was still dope though.

Went for happy hour had spagetti and meatballs, it was good.
Craft beer is a always great!

First off, gluten free pizza, super tasty! The caprese salad was a little… small for the price, but quite tasty. That’s the only reason I didn’t give four stars. I will definitely be back for more gluten free pizza. All in all, it’s a win.

The place has a very clean restroom. You may think why is that part of a review? Well let’s just check in with our wives and girlfriends and daughters on that, duh it’s huge. And they get it!
Now let’s talk about pizza and IPA. The pie; is great, I prefer the thin crust it has great char. Good crust, it is not, Apizzascholes but it’s got some love. The IPA is great as well as the others. Service is what we expect. Let’s face it people, we really do not admire «service» what we really are looking for is «hospitality «it something completely different than just filling water glasses and orders. It has us as a customer feeling like we had a great overall experience. I felt that tonight. Thank you.

Recently went here with a group of 70. It was so easy to set up, order, and get everything put in place! We arrived and were walked upstairs where we had our own dining area. Within a few minutes of sitting down, we had delicious salads, pitchers of soda, and lots of pizzas coming up! We had several dietary restrictions for both salads and pizza and OT handled it like pros.
Not everyone was able to get food right away, but our server kept the pizza coming so we never had to wait a long time for food. With a group of 70 and only one server, they rocked it! Thank you, OT Brewing for giving us a great time and great pizza!
Later that evening I had a pint downstairs in the bar and it was delicious. The bar area was cute, cozy, but not cramped. If I lived in the area, I would go there all the time! Overall, delicious pizza, great service, and an awesome space to be.

You guys have really stepped up your pizza game and the delivery guys are awesome. Thanks for dropping off dinner!

Pretty sure they gave me a old pizza that had pepperoni on it before and replaced it with tomatoes ! Not sure why else it had a weird taste and would be sooooooooooo oily ! Maybe a place for a beer but not for food or even for great beer! Much better beer places with great food in the area

I like the thin crust pizza and think the brews are great.
This is a great place to meet up with a group — ample seating inside and out. The service is fast and friendly and the prices are reasonable.
Happy hour is a great deal — 1 off pints and 3.50 well drinks. You can get a $ 6 pizza that is plenty for two — super cheap date, and yummy!

Great pizza! We arrived about 15min before closing but the server didnt blink an eye. Super friendly service with a casual fun atmosphere. Needed food after attending a summer tap fest event for my cousins distillery. Ordered pizza and baked mac and cheese and tge food came out quick and tasted great. Garlicky flavor in the mac and cheese was awesome and the thin crust loaded pizza with ample toppings was perfect for a late meal. Added a couple of local beers to round out the meal. The staff didnt seem to mind that we hung out for a bit and chatted awhile. Must return when in town again. Highly recommend.

I would not go to Old Town Brew specifically for the food or drink.
I would go back to meet up with friends to have a place to hang and chat. There is a great space upstairs for a group to have an event. The bar is also very open and it feels comfortable to be with a large party.
Bar has TVs for the sports fans. Upstairs there was a projector and large screen with seating for a large group.
We tried the spaghetti and meatballs, garlic knots and the house special pizza. All were OK but I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant for great pizza. Unfortunately, there are too many great pizza competitors for this business now.

Another restaurant we found on Unilocal.I’m not 100% sure what to think about this place, so I’ll err on the side of caution and give four stars.
Pros: pizza was great, nice and crispy, Beer was good and created right in house, restaurant was built from a lot of reclaimed materials that the staff was proud to talk about. They have outside seating and bicycle delivery, which includes delivery of both pizza AND beer.
Cons: service was hit or miss, beer menu was a little hard to understand especially with the seasonals, and with the slick marketing they had (eg logos, slick menus, etc), this place felt like a chain.
Maybe that’s not a bad thing though. What they had to offer certainly was better than most of the other chains out there today.

This place is a great find on NE MLK. They’ve been brewing for years and years and I think this place is way more charming than the NW Davis location.
Beer, Pizza, and service are all solid. The ambiance is nice, too. They offer a little bit of everything. Big, cavernous, and woodsy, but it’s space is set up well. Airy.
Good for events. They have a space upstairs for big parties. Standouts are their mini pizza and garlic knots. Holy Smokes! What a treat. The garlic knots are doughy balls of savory heaven, especially with a pint of ale.
Their beer menu will rotate, but I find their chalkboard menu, their color coded handout menu, and their one-​offs menu difficult to navigate. The server will explain what they have but sometimes you just want a straightforward choice in front of you — instead of a confusing conversation.
Despite this, the beer is good. Recently tried the Fresh Hop Kolsch — crisp and legit.
The first visit, I had a meatball slider and shared some garlic knots, the second visit I had the mini pizza. Their happy hour is a great value and ends at 6pm.
First visit, the service seemed weird, the guy just stared at us and didn’t even say: how are you, what can I get you? I thought, what is this? some new, hipster way of ambivalent service. Later on, he warmed up and we received solid service.
Second visit, Joe was charming and welcoming.
