Mike is a FEMA-​trained residential retrofit specialist. The FEMA program focuses on the latest techniques to improve the structural connection between the foundation and home, ensuring significant resistance to damages during an earthquake. Additionally, Mike has Simpson Strong-​Tie certifications as well as ICC certifications in Residential and Commercial building codes. He also gives back to the community as a NET (Neighborhood Emergency Team) volunteer, trained to provide emergency disaster assistance within the Portland Metro area.

These guys did a seismic retrofit on our 1938 house recently, to prevent our house from sliding off its foundation and being totaled when the next big quake hits. They were priced reasonably, easy to communicate with, came when they promised, cleaned up well, got the job done promptly, and appeared to be knowledgeable about what they were doing. Highly recommend.
