We are expert in providing dementia and Alzheimer’s care. We provide medication management and every day or post surgery nursing assistance.

History

Established in 2011.

Locally owned Senior Helpers Portland Metro North franchisee of Senior Helpers Corporation opened in 2011. We have grown to employ over 70 highly qualified caregivers and have helped hundreds of satisfied clients who needed assistance in their homes. In 2014 We we became a Senior Gems certified office which qualifies us to offer specialized Alzheimer’s and Dementia training and coaching. In addition, Senior Helpers Portland Metro North rolled it’s Veteran Aid and Attendance services, helping Veteran’s gain eligibility to receive a Pension Benefit to pay toward the cost of in-​home care.

Meet the Business Owner

Norm H.

Business Owner

Norm was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. In 1975, as the first male Junior Volunteer at Portland’s Emanuel Hospital (now Legacy Emanuel Medical Center), Norm discovered his passion for health care early in life. He earned degrees at Brigham Young University (BYU) and Arizona State University and paid his way through graduate school working nights in the Emergency Room at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Phoenix. For over 20 years, Norm held senior leadership positions at hospitals and medical groups in Northern California and Oregon. Prior to joining Senior Helpers, he served as the CEO of Salem CardioVascular Associates, a group of heart and circulation specialists in Oregon’s capital city
