Worst ever… There bathrooms were perm closed at 11:30 and the Syrian bartender was instructing people to go. Next door for the bathroom… Terrible

Went to this place because I was told they had good pizza. Not the case. I got here and ordered a pitcher of blue moon and asked if I wanted oranges. I said yes. He poured. The pitcher and then said we have no oranges cut up do you want lemons. He didn’t even want to cut an orange for a customer. So we ordered a pizza. I was looking forward to some good pizza. It came out and it was hard as a rock and the crust was worse the the old school Dominos pizza. No flavor and look as if had been microwaved a couple of times. I will not be coming back.

I really liked all the TV’s for football minus the hipster’s. That is why I gave it a 4 star’s. Other than that it’s your typical Sunday hole-in-the-way ball with Fort George IPA’s and sliced pizza.

Today we had a pizza party at work. I am sitting here at my desk eating the greasiest, saddest pizza. Would be better off with Dominos or Pizza Hut. Yuck. Thin, tough and dough-y crust. Sausage with no taste. literally soaking with grease.

I order 2 beers before happy hour which was fine. Then I ordered a red bull vodka and a jack and coke for their happy hour price for wells from 9−10pm. Then I ordered another redbull vodka and a whiskey sour during happy hour time. However, after I paid my bill and looked at the tab they charged extra for using a redbull as the mixer and extra for the jack daniels. I asked if these were all included in the happy hour and the bartender told me yes. But they still over charged me. so much for happy hour prices.

I’m giving five stars because I had a great time at this place! Cheap beers. Everything seems cheap to me in Portland coming from DC. First I played pool which was 50 cents. Fun times I played ping pong and loved it. I by accident hit my glass with my ping pong paddle and the drink smashed on the floor. They graciously cleaned it and offered me a free new beer. I turned down the free beer since it was my fault but that was cool! This sports bar would be a place that I would visit with a bunch of friends to hang around in a relaxed somewhat noisy environment to have a fun time. I would not come here by myself to sit down and reflect after a long day of work. If you come here for the purposes of having a fun time with friends, great. I did not eat here so will not comment on the food.

Good dive bar spot! I went in on Tuesday and little did I know that between 9−10PM they have dollar drinks! Woot! PARTY! It was awesome! The drinks were decent, although each time I ordered the same drinks and it time it came out a little different, but hey thats an experience!

I think I ate here for the first time in 1981; the pizza was top notch with plenty of toppings. Over the years, this would be a required visit when home on leave. When I left the military, and moved back to Portland, Silver Dollar was the place I’d drive across town to satisfy a specific pizza craving. My brother would visit from out of state, and we’d knock out a Silver Dollar Death Valley Special. Oh my god, what happened? Over the years the pizza has changed a bit. Pepperoncini went from whole to chopped. That’s fair, not everyone likes them. The toppings became a bit sparse. Er, that’s not so good, but the flavor was still there with the massive cheese load. Tonight I called in a pizza to take home after work; the craving struck earlier in the week. THIS. WAS. THE. WORST. PIZZA. I. HAVE. EVER. EATEN. I started a Unilocal account just to post those words. I thought I’d eaten the worst pizza years ago in Lincoln City at a restaurant world renowned for their pizza awfulness(I discovered later), but this pizza destroyed a 30 plus year pizza addiction with one bite. The crust hasn’t just gone thin, but also gummy and flavorless. Pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, and pepperoncini are all ingredients with distinct flavors. They had no flavor. The pizza didn’t survive the 8 minute drive home without looking like it had sat on top of the oven for hours. The pizza’s temperature was tepid at best. Chewy, gummy, greasy, flat, flavorless, awful. I’ll never be able to go back. Their downtown Broadway store was sold off some years ago, and never opted for the cheap, downward slide. It may not be as convenient, or hold the memories, but the 21st Ave. store doesn’t pull the business it once did, and now I know why. Kudos to the bartender for noticing me, and quickly taking care of my take out order. She should bail for a new job before the place goes out of business.

Silver Dollar is our go-to spot, at any time of the day. Yes, it’s a sports bar, but it offers a lot more than that. There are plenty of TVs(they actually go around the entire room), two ping pong tables, skiball, basketball and pool. The service here has never been anything but nice. Even on a busy night, with one bartender, I get helped within a minute. The food is what it is. Pizza, wings and salad. Nothing out of the ordinary, but it hits the spot! There are plenty of tables outside and you can take your drinks out to get some air or people watch. In a busy area of Portland, this can be quite entertaining! This bar deserves more credit for their service and the entertainment it provides.

Place has lots of TVs which is good but not worth coming to again. Such a weird young crowd plus not stocked on some popular liquors. Food here is also horrible. Horrible as in you order buffalo wings that doesn’t have buffalo sauce and so burnt it’s black and tastes like you’re chewing on charcoal.

This place has been a blight on the neighborhood for years. I’ve only been once, to watch a World Series game and that was enough. For the full run down on the recent OLCC problems, read the official report on the investigation going all the way back to 2013 here:

Nice little place with pretty good happy hour specials. We came up this way to go to Bartini, but as soon as I saw they had ping pong, I wanted to go there. The bartenders were nice and friendly, and there were plenty of tables of pool, shuffle board, and ping pong. They had a fireplace inside that wasn’t being used, even though it was really cold, so that kind of sucked. Not much food options, but if you want to grab a beer and play some games, this is a fine place.

This place is great to go to if you’re already drunk, enjoy hanging out with the bros, or want to play some slots — if those aren’t your thing, don’t come here. Food is gross and drinks are ok. They’ve run into some issues with the OLCC so they’re shut down fur a few weeks.

Food is bad, bartenders are bitchy, just find a different place. I’m still hoping this place will get shut down its that horrible.

This place delivers what it promises– a dive bar, packed to the brim with 21ish year olds looking for a drink & a few phone numbers.(Yay for being old & having a ring on that finger– was grateful for that here!) Drinks are good– standard, not terribly expensive, reasonable– bartenders aren’t the friendliest, but then again, that’s how I remember college life so it completed the throwback experience for me. :) I can see it for a bar crawl or super late late night drinks, but wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

This will be a rare short review. Silver Dollar was the last stop on our Rugby Bar Crawl and by far the largest and busiest place. All the other places were dive bars that we came in with the 70+ of us and basically took over the place. By the time we got here our numbers did dwindle but we still had a pretty large group. This place wasn’t a place to be taken over and well it seemed like we got lost in the shuffle. The place was what it was. Just a typical bar/college bar. Semi sports bar atmosphere and nothing that impressed me. I’ve been to several other sports bars that I enjoyed myself more at. Oh well, can’t win em all.

I’ve only been here for the late night madness of which I’m really not a fan. Reminds me of being back in Eugene but it doesn’t compare to places like Taylor’s and Rennie’s. Just drunk, twenty-something bros making a mess of the place. Bathroom is dirty. Actually, the whole place is dirty and crowded and I’d pretty much rather grab a drink anywhere else in the area. They have ping-pong, pool, and some video games(like that one where you punch a bag and get points… the twenty-something bros love that thing and it is inconveniently placed right next to the pool tables… make sure you scan the area before you line up your cue). The drink I had here wasn’t great but it could have been worse. Some people love this place but I’m just not one of those people.
