Okay. I’m going to be honest. I’m a tea snob and I’ve always found Stash tea(sold at Target, Safeway, etc) beneath me. I find their teas low on the flavor totem pole. While visiting Portland, we saw the word«Tea» on the door and did NOT pay attention to the word STASH(or else we would have moved on) and walked through the door. The minute we realized we were in a Stash tea store, my family of three tried to leave. But, we were acknowledged by the 3 friendly employees who immediately descended upon us. They started engaging us in conversation about tea. They were so nice that we decided to give them the courtesy of experiencing the Stash tea through description and smell. The helpful and friendly employees somehow managed to convince us(my family is NOT easily convinced) to give their tea drinks a try. We each got a different drink and as we began to sip, we looked at one another knowing what the other was thinking. «Is this REALLY Stash tea?» The drinks divine. The Berry Rooibos tastes like berry. The Earl Grey tastes like bergamot. Their chocolate tea tastes like chocolate. The employees were so helpful that we ended up buying $ 55 dollars worth of tea leaves. Once we got home and started brewing our tea leaves, we found each and every tea to be delicious. Though we loved them all, our 2 favorites were Breakfast in Paris(YUM!!!) and Double Bergamot Earl Grey. We quickly ran out of both so we got online and ordered more. At first we couldn’t figure out why we didn’t originally like Stash Tea and now we believe we have the answers. The loose leaf tea is different than the tea bags. Maybe even fresher? Either way… we are now Stash Tea fans and will continue to buy the loose leaf directly from the company. All because of some very friendly store employees.

I’m obsessed with this place! I love going in for a hot cup of tea, or even better a Pumpkin Chi Tea Latte. They are soooo good. I’m not normally a pumpkin fan, but these are amazing. I also love buying their loose leaves tea. They have lots of unusual flavors. I love all the dessert teas such as Black Forest Cake, or Cherry Almond. They are a great afternoon pick-me-up, and pretty much guilt free! They always have great deals on tea. I picked up a bunch of tea bags for $ 2.50 a bag. That’s cheaper than at the grocery store! I also love that you can smell all of the teas and they always have samples!

I am a huge fan of their tea, however, it is a little $$$ here. I know that this is the preferred tea of Starbucks, however, I find that they charge way too much for the tea. I found a wholesale distributor in Portland that wasn’t too far from the book store that I was heading to, therefore, bought some decent amount of mint tea. I will be honest in saying that I can’t taste the difference between regular and macaroon mint, however, that could be due to the fact that my pallet was all over the place with all the Portland food eating that Gareth and I were doing.

My guy bought me a glass tea pot here. I noticed there was a small chip on it right out of the box. We brought it back and they replaced it right away with a free sample of loose leaf tea. The ginger tea is amazing! I want to buy everything in this store.

As a big tea fan, I got excited! First off, I did not know Stash had a retail store. And second, they serve drinks? Unfortunately, I didn’t order anything but the item menu does look intriguing. In this store, they serve all things tea — tea itself, tea infusers, tea sets, really cute mugs, and tea knick knacks. You can also get samples of tea towards the front of the store.

This is a really cool shop with lots of loose leaf tea, mugs, tea strainers, tea bags and tea related gifts. Some of their tea types are black, oolong, green, white, pu-erh, herbal, rooibos & honeybush, yerba mate & guayusa, decaf, organic & Fair Trade and blooming. Some of their tea flavors are chai, spicy, fruity, berry, citrus, peach, ginger, floral, mint, dessert & chocolate, chamomile, nutty, smokey, and naturally flavored. While you are at the store you can sample some of their teas in their thermoses. You can also order a cup of tea at the counter. I had the spicy chai and it was pretty interesting. It was a little sweet but still good. If you are looking for gifts, you can check out their tea sampler boxes, tea infusers and mugs. There are lots of great tea themed gift options. Some of my favorite things are the honey sticks, cookies and animal shaped infusers that sit in your cup.

Just as I was looking for a place to get coffee I look up and see this tea shop, ok I’m gonna give it a go instead because I’m open minded like that. The place is light bright and stocked with all kinds of amazing concoctions. Salted popcorn, chocolate hazelnut, Black Forest cake, peach cobbler, it’s the willy wonka of teas! They have a tea bar too and I ordered up a chocolate hazelnut latte, and omg it was amazing! Like I wish I was sipping that right now! Seriously it was delicious and different! I bought a bag of portland stash for my sweetie, I can’t wait to go back and try something else!

Very lovely and knowledgeable staff, free wifi and large community table, and too many teas to choose from! You can read notes about each variety for sale, and open a small tin with loose leaves to smell before committing to a purchase. You can even buy as little as 1oz of loose leaves, which makes sampling lots of different teas a bit more affordable. Had a ball talking shop with one of the sales assistants and getting recommendations, while also enjoying a bottle of Olympia-brewed Magic Kombucha(seriously the best kombucha I have found to date). Wish I had more money to burn here! You can find a coupon in Chinook Book for Stash usually(this years’ is 20% off your purchase of $ 25 or more). They’ve got lots of great tea-related gifts for birthdays and other holidays. I gotta come back soon!

I was surprised to find an actual retail store for what I originally thought to be a mass retail brand. This place is pretty unique in that it does sell the flavors that you would get at a grocery store, but also you can get loose leaf teas here as well. The selection is pretty varied with offerings for simple origin teas, as well as the flavorful blends of teas and the place is not as intimidating to walk into. There is also a drink and snack bar inside as well.

Everyone is so friendly! And I love the Portland Fog! My favorite time to go is right at open. It’s quiet and the employees are always attentive and thoughtful. Buying loose leaf is easy. The atmosphere of the shop is great as well. Airy and open. Makes for a great tea experience.

Yay for Stash Tea! Stash tea is my most consumed tea, not because it is locally available at any grocery retailer, which is a plus, but because it is just that GOOD. Also, note to you other tea fanatics, the Stash Retail Store carries such a wide variety of teas, that it is unlikely to find these in your neighborhood market. Over the years I have tried numerous flavors of Stash and let me tell you they have such a wide variety it never ceases to amaze me the combinations they contrive. My purchases today entailed, Mangosteen Green Tea, Coconut Mango Oolong, and Organic Lavender Tulsi Herbal Tea. All three different in their own respects but equally delicious when steeped and sipped out of my favorite mug or whatever container suits your sipping pleasures. However, I do not recommend steeping and sipping all three flavors at the same time, in the same mug/glass/container that holds liquids(just covering all my bases), because… that would just be… weird. So if you are in the mood to steep and sip, then get yo drank on here!

We’ve recently given up coffee and replaced it with tea. We did a Unilocal search for tea retailers and this store came up very highly rated. It’s no wonder why either. They have an incredible selection of delicious teas. As soon as you walk into the store you’re punched in the nose by sweet, floral and herbal scents. I believe that is what Heaven probably smells like. And to top it off, the staff is very polite and knowledgable. This is my new favorite store!

So yea I admit it I like tea… wanna fight about it?!? I buy the boxed tea here cuz I don’t have time for all that loose leaf BS. Stash tea is tasty & has tons of options /flavors plus they have a rewards program where you spend X amount of $ and you get free tea this seems to add up rather quickly as I have gotten at least four free boxes so far… sh*t maybe I REALLY like tea.

If you’re only familiar with Stash boxed teas, you should definitely visit their store! They have dozens of varieties of loose tea, which you can buy by the ounce(starting at $ 2.10/oz, 2 oz minimum), and there are sample jars set out on the counter so you can sniff to your heart’s content. Pre-packed bags of loose tea and teabags are also available, and are nicely packaged enough that they can be given as gifts. They also have a wide assortment of gift sets, tea accessories, and sweets to go with your tea. There’s also a tea bar, where you can order hot and cold drinks. They have a small selection of pastries and cookies, and there’s café seating so you can sit down and enjoy your beverage. I was intrigued by the sound of the Cascade Mint Lemonade, and it was amazing — sweet, a little tart, and very refreshing. I would make a trip across town just for that lemonade! The employees were extremely friendly and nice. It seemed like they really enjoyed tea and were knowledgeable about it, and wanted to make sure you ended up with the right blend for you. Whether you’re looking for a nice gift for someone else or just a quiet place to relax and enjoy some well-made tea, the Stash store is great.

Friendly, accommodating staff and a store filled to the brim with various teas. Up front, they have various tea samples you can sample while you walk around to peruse their collection. The staff is knowledgeable about their tea and will answer any questions you have. As with other tea stores, they have a good variety of tea related accessories /items.

I love this store. My family and I accidentally walked into the store while they were closed and having their employee mixer. We felt really embarrassed and I was trying to rush through the store. The staff were so nice, friendly and very welcoming. The tea assortment was enormous. I was surprised to see there was more to Stash Tea than the store bought tea bags. I was so impressed with their customer service, their knowledge on tea and the variety. The tea bar in the store was great. I love tea latte’s and the best part about my trip to Portland was their special earl grey latte. I hope more Stash Tea stores open up in Washington! This place is a must see for tea lovers!
