This is a pretty strange food cart… I appreciate the aesthetics of it (really cool looking rail car), but I’m not sure who I would actually recommend the food to.
They claim to be «Romanian and International.» I’m not really sure what that means. The menu seems to consist mostly of grilled cheese, biryani, and bread. Knowing that there are two Indian food carts a block away, I wouldn’t ever get biryani here. So it’s basically a sandwich cart disguised as an awesome train car claiming to be international.
It’s fine, but the bar has been set so high by other Portland food carts that Transylvania Express is ultimately forgettable.
