Mark has come by twice to help me with a refrigerator that was not properly installed and he has been efficient, polite, knowledgeable and just great. Highly recommend him!

Prompt help over the phone. Very good follow-​up. We had an excellent experience with our technician, Mark K. #27, who generously helped solve a very vexing problem with our Jenn Air stove (took apart the entire burner mechanism with endless patience and resolved) and in addition helped with our freezer drawer which was stubbornly not sliding in and out (resulting in leakage along one side and ice crystals along the outside of the fridge) as a courtesy while he was here. He also explained the best brands, and why, of appliances we are in the market for (clothes washer and dryer).
A really nice, prompt, pleasant, extremely honest, and very competent tech. We always request him whenever we have any issues with our appliances.
Very pleased with the service at 1−800-Appliance and would highly recommend it.

We had Stephan, tech #88, out to repair a Frigidaire dishwasher. He was in and out in no time. Problem fixed!

We just had Stephan (Tech# 88) come out and repair our Whirlpool Freezer that was luckily sill under warranty. Stephan was very professional and polite and fixed the issue very quickly. He even helped us out with some of our other appliances. We were very pleased with the service and will use them again if we need to!

Quick response time. We had a dishwasher leak. Tim was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely recommend and will use them again if needed.

Stephan C #88 efficiently addressed the problem with our oven. He also shared helpful tips for getting better results with our dishwasher and cleaning the microwave.

Tim, tech #50 just left my home after repairing my LG dryer. Tim was very friendly, communicative and professional during the repair service and I felt the estimate was fair and that I could completely trust his work. He showed me the problem and resolved it promptly, although it was about 100 degrees! I would highly recommend 1800 appliance to others who are looking for a reputable repair company. I have been using this company since 1997. I hope Tim comes out for your repair because you will be in good hands!

We had a problem with the dishwasher that we were certain was the drain hose. Making an appointment with 1−800-appliance was easy enough over the phone. They had two technicians who were available to come the next day. I requested one over the other but for no particular reason.
The tech arrived within the two hour time frame (that was actually pushed back late yesterday via phone call).
He came right in and went straight to the dishwasher. I explained the problem and he seemed to know what to do right away. He popped open the top of the drain hose thing (that leads to the sink), showed me all the gunk at the top of the drain, cleared the gunk, and put the top back on. He started the dishwasher and voila, everything looked great.
This literally took all of two minutes. I was sad that no one in our family could have figured out how to fix the issue like this tech but hey, we’re not professionals.
I thought I would pay the $ 69 service fee and be done with it. But the tech said no. $ 69 is the charge for the service call to diagnosis the issue. BUT, there’s a $ 120 *MINIMUM* labor charge.
$ 120. ONE HUNDRED TWENTY DOLLARS. For something that took two minutes. And no repair parts. I guess he couldn’t charge me just the $ 69 to diagnose since he already took care of the problem. Again, literally in two minutes.
He didn’t even help me straighten out the drain top thingy :(I thought maybe he could pull out the dishwasher to further inspect it to confirm it was just that visible blockage issue.
He let us use the $ 15 Unilocal coupon so thank you. I noticed that on the receipt it showed a different name (than what I was calling him the entire time). Turns out he was a different tech that came out. Not sure why he didn’t correct me when I kept calling him Mark. He left as quickly as he arrived.
So the dishwasher is (test) running at the moment and hopefully everything will be ok. The dishwasher is leaking a bit but I’m going to run it a few more times. I’m giving 3 stars for a quick repair but the company gets 2 stars in terms of pricing. Maybe they can make exceptions for repairs that take less than (a minimum or something) of 15 min for future reference. I’ll do an update if we need them to come back but maybe the dishwasher will work out.

We bought a «flipped» condo, after less than a dozen washes the handle on the dishwasher stuck, couldn’t start a cycle. Stephan #88 showed up on time, with a replacement handle so one visit completed the job! He also took a moment to give some advice on how to get the best results from this machine.

Tim tech #50 fixed our dryer the other day.
He was polite, timely and he finished his work in less than an hour.
Highly recommended.

Greg (Tech #41) showed up during the arrival window — the dispatcher called to let me know he was on his way too. Quickly diagnosed the problem with my dryer, and fixed it within a half hour. Greg was very courteous; didn’t make or leave a mess, and showed me the dryer was working before he left. I thought the price, $ 149.50, for a house call and his labor, was very reasonable. I’m very pleased. Would definitely use 1−800-Applinaces again.

Dave and his team are amazing. Dave sent out one of his top techs, Richard, to replace the bearings in our Whirlpool Cabrio washer. Richard replaced the bearings and completed the job in 30 minutes at ½ the cost that Express Appliance quoted!

My washing machine gave out on me. Tim from 1−800-Appliance came and saved the day. He was very friendly and professional. He explained exactly what he did and what was broken. 1 week later the washing machine was giving me the same problem. He quickly came out, fixed it again and didn’t charge me. It is working great now. Thanks Tim!

The problem was the following: even though our freezer was working properly, we had a little tear at the top of the gasket and we felt that it needed to be fixed.
Note: I do not need to editorialize as facts speak for themselves.
Feb 19^th 2016: Someone from 1800Appliance came for an unrelated problem (to fix our dishwasher). Since the gasket on the freezer side of our Sub-​Zero fridge needed replacing, I used the opportunity to ask the technician for a quote. The technician said that it would cost about $ 250.00. I needed a bit of time before taking my decision, so I did not give him an answer right away on whether or not to go ahead with the repair…
Feb 23^rd 2016: I took my decision and decided to go ahead with the repair. I called 1800Appliance. They did not save the quote in their system and the guy who wrote it had left the company, so they could not contact him. They needed to send someone else to give us another quote. They told us that it would cost us $ 69.00 just to get the quote. I told them that I could just give her the model and serial number of my fridge. They said that they really needed to send someone.
Feb 24^th 2016: Someone from 1800Appliance came and took the model and serial number of our fridge. He said that the cost of the repair would be about $ 250.00 and that they would subtract the $ 69.00 we had to pay for the quote. I told him to go ahead with the repair. The technician then said that they would order the part (gasket) and that they would come on March 1^st 2016 to do the repair.
Feb 29^th 2016: I got a call from 1800Appliance. They received the wrong part, so they had to reschedule the repair. It got rescheduled to March 8^th 2016.
March 8^th 2016: The technician from 1800Appliance replaced the gasket. He asked me not to open the freezer for 8 hours. He also told me that problems often occur, and that he would come back if it happened. He blamed the way Sub-​Zero ships their gaskets; supposedly folded in a small box… After 8 hours, we opened the freezer and discovered that we had problems that we did not have before: we lost the strong suction that was holding the freezer door and a lot of condensation appeared at the top of our freezer.
March 9^th 2016: The technician from 1800Appliance came back and used some kind of heated dryer to soften the gasket. He asked us not to open the freezer for 8 hours. He also told us that if there was a problem he would come back. After 8 hours, we opened the freezer and discovered that things got worse: still no strong suction to hold the door and even more condensation.
March 11^th 2016: The technician from 1800Appliance came back and used his heated dryer to soften the gasket. He also added some kind of Vaseline. He also told us that a new gasket had been ordered for our freezer and that he would call us in a couple of days to see if we still had problems. If so, he would just replace the whole gasket again. After 8 hours, we opened the freezer and discovered that things got even worse: all our food was mushy and melting. We had to throw it all and it was worth more than the cost of the repair. We called 1800Appliance. They told us that they would get back to us.
March 12^th 2016: Someone from 1800Appliance called and told us that we had to wait for about 10 days from the time a gasket is installed for it to fully work.
March 17^th 2016: Our freezer looked like a disaster (full of icicles). We had been dealing for nearly a month with 1800Appliance and we urgently had to do something to get our freezer fixed. We made arrangements for Box Appliance to come and repair our freezer.
Thankfully, Box Appliance fixed our problem. Box Appliance opened the box containing the new gasket in front of me. It had been shipped from Sub-​Zero in a relatively big box, especially designed so the gasket would not be damaged. Box Appliance replaced our gasket and things worked right away! No more condensation and the strong suction needed to hold the freezer door was finally back! We are planning on asking 1800Appliance for our money back. They are lucky that we are not asking for the cost of the food we lost, as it was worth more than the cost of the repair…
If this was not enough, the comments left by Box Appliance were quite incriminating: «Found new gasket installed by someone else. Gasket is not a Sub-​Zero gasket for this unit. Hinge side of gasket is not sealing»…

Pretty much as good as it gets. We had a minor repair to our Whirlpool Refrigerator which was still covered by warranty. I called Whirlpool directly and they contacted these folks at 800-​Appliance. I am glad they did. Stephan #88 was prompt, courteous, professional and did the job right. We will definitely be calling them again to assist us with any appliance repair. Thanks guys!

Robbie Tech #25 is da bomb!
These guys are prompt, personable, fast, friendly, and efficient. My dryer is OLD but a workhorse. It wouldn’t heat. I called them YESTERDAY and they had an open appt the next day/​today. Robbie was EARLY!!! What? Nice guy. Great job. It was a heater fuse. I will keep calling them. So far they have worked on my dryer, dishwasher, washer…
