Yikes– the woman who answered the phone sounded like they didn’t want any business– I decided to call someone else!

I did not have a good experience with this company. I needed two things; my ovens calibrated and the gasket on my refrigerator door replaced. The repairman came out, tested both ovens, and said that both the thermometers had to be replaced or we could be looking at a fire. The cost was over a thousand dollars. After he left, we tested the ovens with our electronic meat thermometer and found that only one was lower by 25 degrees; the other was spot on. As for the refrigerator, he did the job, but the gasket he put in was considerably smaller than the original one and the cost of the repair was considerably higher than what he originally quoted. We called the company to speak to a supervisor but the person we spoke to was, to say the least, not interested in what we had to say. Would not recommend or ever use this business again.

i have to admit that dealing with requesting service as well as Joe, who provided the service, was exceptional. I unfortunately have some expensive, problematic appliances in the house I purchased. I was expecting to get sticker shock for my repairs, but they were reasonable, honest, and efficient. definitely happy i have a sticker now in my fridge so I know who to call next time around

Wow!!! I’m so happy I found Econo appliance!
My refrigerator wasn’t staying cold. I called my warranty company to fix it-​they said that the part I needed was discontinued, but JOE was able to take my part and get it repaired and now my fridge works like a champ. This is by far the best appliance repair company I’ve ever used. If any appliance breaks I will for sure call them back! You will not find a repair person that knows more then Joe. He is a dedicated service person that actually cares, unlike the warranty companies.

Extremely rude. I called for a «second opinion,» which could mean many things and I understand the companies policy of not wanting to get involved with issues that have already been addressed by another company but sweet Adam without fully understanding the situation sarcastically asked if I was planning on getting a third opinion while I was at it. Also, the call was made well into 3 hours of the tenants and myself waiting for our scheduled appointment. I waited another 2 so that I could call back and them tell me they refused to do the service. I’m sure they’re great though!

Thank God I found this company. I had technician Adam come to my house to fix my fridge. Thinking I was going to be with out food for a few days, to my surprise he had the parts in his car and was able to fix them the same day. On top of that he was a funny chill guy. If have no problem calling econo again.

Ask for Victor, he is professional, prompt, very thorough, and did a fantastic job getting to the bottom of a difficult dryer repair. Excellent service!!!

We needed our washer fixed and made a first-​time appointment with Econo Appliance for Monday. It turned out they had some time on Friday and Joe arrived a few minutes after calling. He diagnosed the problem and fixed the washer in about ½ hour. He was also had time enough to fix our refrigerator door and a low-​flame burner on our stove, and it all was done for a very reasonable price! Professional and courteous, it was obvious that he knew what he was doing. Highly recommended!

After receiving a quote for replacing a stove switch from this vendor, I reached out to execute services. Their were several miscommunications regarding their ordering of the part then the status of the part order. Their technician arrived on site to execute the repair, did not know what services he was to provide and did not have the part. Due to miscommunication and confusion, I determined it was best to have another vendor execute the repair.

A total bummer. I am a long time customer of this company. I have been using them since Stan was new and Dave was repairing. I have referred them countless times over the years.
A few months ago, I had a repairman out to fix my stackable washer/​dryer. He quoted me 190 bucks. 2 weeks later, still no repair. When he finally showed back up, he said that he did not realize that I had additional problems and upped my quote to the 700s. I ended up throwing out my stackable deeming it unfixable. In case you dont know, stackablez are a fortune. It took a whole summer of going to the laundromat to find another stackable I could afford. In the meantime, I got a call from a woman in the office trying to figure out why my invoice was missing. Apparently the repair person had taken off and left them without a paper trail on a few invoices. One was mine. She apologized profusely when I told her the story. I probably tossed out my washer dryer for no reason. She also stated that if there was anything she could do to retain my business she would help.
I tried calling into the office because my new refurbished unit is squeaking. The woman who answered seemed less than interested in my story. I dont think she felt very well. I asked to speak to the owner and she said he would return my call in the afternoon. That was 2 days ago.
Epic heartbreak Econo. We were long time business pals and now we have nothing.

They did it again! Our Washer Machine started to act up — considering the cost of replacing this was not something i needed to do this week — we called Joe and Victor at Econo Appliance, they come out and took care of the issue, a small garment caught in the drain pipe. These guys are legit. Prompt, professional, reasonable on cost and most importantly — they get the job done RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. I refer Econo Appliance to all my clients and friends. They are the best

I recently had, I believe his name was Darius, at my home to fix a washing machine. He was so polite and knowledgable. It was apparent that he is good at what he does and actually takes pride in his work, unfortunately a rare find lately. I am so appreciative for their affordable service and wonderful technician. He treated my home and myself with utmost respect. Thank you, Darius!

Econo Appliance is awesome all around!!! Brandon came by within the earlier part of the scheduled window (which makes them even more excellent), was quick, honest (even explained details of the problem and taught me a few things about gas-​heated dryers), and got our appliance fixed in no time! Great customer service, quality work, and the wife is going to be extremely happy… happy wife = 5 stars!!!

Absolute 5-​Star no-​brainer. These guys do the old-​school honest, quality work for a more than reasonable price. Got my dryer fixed and then two months later it was out again, and though it was clearly not from the same problem, labor was still warrantied for me and the permanent fix was made. At the same time, my washer needed to be rigged to stop a piece from breaking and that was done too. Total cost for over an hour of labor and the parts for both of these? $ 42. Great professionalism on the phone and in person. Hope I don’t need them often, but I am so glad to have a business like this available. If you’re reading this far, you probably need them. Call them now. They’ll take care of you!

I have rental property in Talmadge neighborhood. My tenant called me because their dryer wasn’t working. My regular appliance repair guy could not get to it. He recommended Econo Appliance Service Inc; said they are very reliable and fair.
I called about 10 am and gave him the tenant’s information and my cc info. By 4 pm my tenant texted me it was complete and she was happy with his service!
Happy tenants are the best form of recommendation!
And the price was reasonable!

Three stars as simply Okay.
Here are my concerns. its a 65 dollar diagnostic. That took two minutes to perform
The part was 50 dollars? Little plastic switch.
There is a 90 dollar minimum labor fee? They didn’t explain that on the phone.
Still not sure why there is both a dianotistic fee and min labor fee?
Total bill was 145 dollars and the repair took 15 minutes
By my calculations, these guys earn 600 dollars an hour?
Oh yeah, the technician left a part of the replaced switch in the machine wash basin.
I found it after I had test run the machine.
I liked these guys better when they were a small time repair shop.

Our dryer sounded as though it was in the throes of death on the Friday before the Labor Day weekend. I made a appointment through Sears, and it couldn’t be taken care of until the following Wednesday. On a whim, I called Econo Appliance to see if there was a chance it could be fixed earlier. Unlike other appliance repair businesses, they actually had a real person answering their phones… and a very pleasant one to boot! She said she could have someone out that Friday (same day) to take care of it. Yay! Derrick showed up later that afternoon, and though he did not have the part, he took the dryer apart and made the horrific noises more bearable until the part we needed arrived. He came back on Wednesday, part in tow, and the dryer is now as good as new!
Pleased with their pleasant and honest customer service and with their reasonable prices. Definitely recommend!

As a Realtor I rely on good vendors to take care of my seller and buyer clients. I have called on Econo Appliance six times in the past three weeks and they have not let me down. There is one situation that especially stands out: a client recently had an issue with his upscale refrigerator, he called his home warranty company, they quoted $ 600 for the repair and were very unprofessional (Appliance 911 to be exact). He called me very frustrated and I contacted Econo Appliance, they made the repair onsite for $ 145 and the client was extremely happy.
I find Econo to be reliable, honest, fair and I trust their judgement. Thank you for the great service!

Definite 5-​star service. Super nice guy showed up and fixed our fridge, which had a broken ice maker and water dispenser for about half a year before we finally dealt with it. Soooo glad we found this service on Unilocal!
Guy filled us in on all the issues he’s encountered with our particular fridge, installed a couple parts for us at a great price, and gave us advice for repairs in the future. What more could you ask for? We’re super happy with this business, and will definitely use them again in the future!
