Cars Automotive is just great. My wife and I have been coming here for years with every vehicle we own. We’ve always been treated with courtesy and fairness, and we couldn’t imagine taking our cars anywhere else.
What we like. 1) Estimates are usually spot on for both timing and cost. Never a surprise with Chris and Team. 2) They’ll work on anything. Cars even does tires, shocks and struts on my M3. Not just American cars people! 3) Pricing is fair and reasonable. Yes, we all want a bunch of work done for free. Work isn’t free. 4) Quality is top notch. Everything I’ve had repaired there was completely fixed 100% the first time.
Only challenge is that they don’t do weekend work and I selfishly want to get my car fixed when it’s easy for me. The schedule creates a bit of challenge here and there when I end up getting rides after work or riding my bike from the shop to work and back. Still worth it.

This place is great! My family and I have been using Cars Auto for over 10 years now and there’s no other place we’d rather take our vehicles. Chris and Charlie are great, they go above and beyond to deliver a job well done. Excellent work, fair prices, overall an honest and trustworthy business. We recommend this shop to everyone!

I’ve used Chris at CARS for over 20 years now on many vehicles. He’s even worked on my RV and boat. Chris and Charlie are honest, competent and fair. You might find a cheaper price, but I’d rather know that what is being fixed is truly necessary. They are honest, and will give you a straight answer on any possible options. I especially like locally owned and run businesses like this, ’cause I know where he lives ;-)

CARS is by far my favorite shop in San Diego County. I’ve been taking my cars here since 2002. Chris is honest and thorough and has years and years of experience and it shows in his diagnosis and explanations. He calls around to get the best prices on parts, and he does a great job educating — he always tells me what needs to be done on the car plus why and how the engine works. I like that! I highly recommend this shop.
A few years ago I recommended CARS to my dad who now takes his truck there; he trusts Chris and won’t take his vehicle anywhere else for major repairs.

This is a great independent repair shop. I brought in my 1999 Toyota Tacoma to get 4 new shocks installed and some Hellwig helper springs added to the rear suspension.
They did the job quickly and professionally.
I was referred there by a friend who gets *a bunch* of cars worked on there.
The price was fair. I now know where I will be going for all future work on my cars that are out of new car warranty.

Chris is very honest and trustworthy. I’ve brought my cars to him for years! now I have a new car and my maintenance is included but I will never forget all the times he’s saved my butt!
