My husband and daughter has been going to this dentist for 4+ years… so sad that we have to switch dentists because of our new insurance which he does not take. Now, I am having a hard time finding a good dentist as he has set the bar so high! Dr. Hyun has never ripped us off or offered services that was not needed. One time, my daughter had a horrible tooth ache and we didn’t have dental insurance but Dr. Hyun still squeezed us in and gave us a discount, plus a free xray to see the problem. I recommend him and his front desk admin, Marty, is great as well! She is very helpful and helps in all billing and insurance situations.

Dr. Hyun is simply the best!
I’ve had many dentists who tried to rip me off and still don’t provide good service, but Dr. Hyun is extremely careful when he conducts his practice, and is very honest. He does not overcharge and makes sure that I get the best care possible. I rarely bleed now thanks to his recommendations and I am not afraid going to the dentist’s office if it’s his! I recommend all of my friends and family here and they all like him. His office staff are extremely nice and professional as well. He conducts regular dentistry and does minor surgeries, and has excellent recommendations to other doctors also when necessary.
He practices in two offices — Poway (this one) and City Heights. I like Poway office because it is newer and more convenient to find. He works in different offices at different days of the week, so it’s best to call for appointments if you can.

I was going to Dr. Hyun for several years. I had a terrible dentist prior and Dr. Hyun told me that there was a lot of work he had to redo. A 2 year old filing he had done for me had fallen out. While he was fixing this filling, he actually broke the filling next to it and charged me for both fillings. I was pretty much done with him but six months after this, a crown he had replaced broke off and there was no tooth left. I had another dentist pull the tooth because nothing could be saved and have yet to find a dentist to do an implant for me.
