First Stop Smog

I got helped by Drew, who’s name is on the business card and might be the only guy working there.
Either way, I got there on a Monday around 11:45 am and was helped right away (he was just finishing up with someone else). He was done in about 10 minutes with the good (but expected) news that it passed.
Customer Service is meh. I mean, it’s not bad, but he seems to be all about business and I can’t complain about that.
It was my first time going and I’m sure I’ll be back. Thanks!

Very rude, abrasive and gave me the Middle Eastern/​European hand gesture of dismissal. All I did was drive up in my 1992 Ford Van. He was angry to begin with. I did not even say a word. He approach my car and said: «you have to take that off.» The carpet between the two bucket seats. This is going to cost you a lot. I was taken back because in the past years he wanted to buy my Toyota that I had smogged. Perhaps it was just a bad day… but to take it out on a customer who has brought you business and has not said more than 2 words. I will go elsewhere. You should never treat another abusively. You body language and words are that of a troubled man.

I highly recommend First Stop Smog… I went in late morning and was taken care of quickly and efficiently, less than 15 minutes! The owner was very kind, professional and he gave me a great deal. This is a great stop and go place for a certified smog check.

Needed smog to transfer title. I have come to this location twice before-​received excellent service. The man last time was very helpful, gave me a discount I hadn’t asked for which was great! Unfortunately the experience I had today was the POLAR OPPOSITE. Brought my Grandmother with me and a different man «helped» me than before-​said he was the owner. I hadn’t mentioned I had a coupon from their webpage before handing over my keys. Considering my last visit, didn’t think it mattered-​boy was I wrong! Apparently that was enough to set him off ’cause when I DID mention it, he became VERY nasty. He told me it was too late, he had already written it up and he wasn’t honoring my coupon. I told him Im a returning customer and have never had trouble before. Pulled up his website, showed him the coupon for $ 45 out the door-​still no budge. I said he was being incredibly unreasonable, especially for being a BBB accredited business owner. He then proceeded to get loud, asking me if I was threatening him. Saying he didn’t care about BBB, he was the owner and he’d fire them. This went on for a couple minutes UNTIL ANOTHER CUSTOMER WALKED IN! Then, just like that he grabbed a pen and changed the price to the $ 45. On my way out with my Grandma the owner shakes this new customers paperwork at me shouting «See! He has a coupon, I give him $ 45 price!»
Fricken ridiculous! I will NEVER recommend a business like that. I HIGHLY recommend you NEVER come here!

Went here to get my car smogged. Not a busy place I was the only person there so no wait. The guy who owns the place is a nice guy, looks like he’s the only worker. He took my paperwork and 20 minutes later he came back in and told me my car passed no problem and I was on my way. It was a decent price to start and he even gave me $ 10 off. I recommend this place for quick in and out service!

I went there in October for a smog check but it failed due to engine service light was on. The guy offered a free retest if I come back within 30 days. I came back within 30 days after I fixed the problem and he gave me a free retest. Will definitely return in the future!

Upgrading this place from 1 star to 3 stars because the business reached out to me. Perhaps they were just having a bad day when I was there. Drew at One Stop Smog said that it was no problem to smog a Corvette and said he could even do it today if I brought it in. I have since sold the car since my review in 2012 but I appreciate the offer.

Went here for a smog and failed due to wrong catalct converter on my car. The shop says no free retest but the guy gave me a free retest within 30 days. Got a new converter went back and was in n out in under 10 minutes. Will take all cars there in future

Very quick. There’s only one guy in there so you might have to wait in line, but it doesn’t take that long. I’m not sure what type of service you’re expecting but I just needed to pass smog and he sends the certification to the DMV automatically. Plus he gave me a discount even though I didn’t have a coupon.

Good place for a smog. Keep in mind the man doing the smog is all business, don’t expect to have a meaningful conversation. Print a coupon for their website or check the Grapevine.

Been using this shop for years to smog my cars. Owner has always been nice to me and fast on getting me in and out. He offered me a discount without asking because he had a deal posted online.

Get in, get out 15min. Nice, friendly people. Had a $ 10 off coupon from the website. Paid $ 55, not bad for a truck.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! My company uses him for our shop vehicles so I went to him for the discount a couple of years ago. I did save some money when I left there… I saved all of it! He was the rudest person I had ever encountered and told me to take my business elsewhere. Due to convenience I thought I’d give him another shot today. Who knows maybe I caught him on a bad day last time… NOPE. Still the biggest @$$hole ever!!!

No customer service. Very rude. GO TO Express Brake & Smog on Recycle Rd.

Horrible customer service. When I asked about the price he threw my registration and said go somewhere else. So I went to Rancho Smog who had no problems with answering questions.

i wrote a quick tip but thought it would be worth the time to write a full review. The owner of the place is quite nice and when i came there he had me in and out in about 15 minutes. They offer a web coupon but gave me the discount without having the coupon with me and i think he gives it to everyone. There was two cars in front of me, but since i was the only one waiting there, he put me at the front of the line. I am now a loyal customer and gave the place 5 stars. Best smog experience i’ve had.

A kind Iranian man appears to own this place with another partner who is Iranian. Man number 1 is very gentile, honest and quick. The other, not so much.
The cool thing (s) are that it’s probably one of the cheapest smogs in town, but also if your car fails, you can get a deal. He allowed me to bring the car in within 2 weeks for another smog for FREE since it failed the first time. Who else does that?

Highly recommended for SMOG check required by DMV.
