History

Established in 1983.

Cari Corbalis started her career in Real Estate in 1983. Within her first year in the industry she was named Top Producer. In 1987, Cari moved her Real Estate License to RE/​MAX. Over the years, Cari has maintained a top agent status over her entire career and has won many awards at RE/​MAX such as 100% Club, Platinum Club, Lifetime Achievement Award and Hall of Fame.

In 2011, her daughter Britt joined her at RE/​MAX. Britt started her Real Estate career in 2007 at a top Real Estate firm specializing in Bank Owned sales. Within her four years there, she managed and sold over 1,000 homes.

When Britt joined Cari in 2011, they were able to use Cari’s wisdom and expertise of the industry and Britt’s tech savvy elements to bring their clients more than ever before.

In 2012, Cari was named Top Agent in her office thanks to having Britt by her side. There business plan is simple: Honesty, Integrity and Hard Work. They look forward to working with you on all your Real Estate needs!

I graduated from Arizona State University in 2005 with a degree in Business Marketing from the W.P. Carey School of Business.

I grew up in the Hickory Park area of Torrance and was fortunate to be part of the Award Winning Torrance School system from Kindergarten at Hickory Elementary, Calle Mayor Middle and graduating from Torrance High School.

After graduating from ASU, I returned to the South Bay and worked for the LA Kings Hockey Team and AEG. In 2007 I moved to Maui to work for a mortgage company, Maui Financial — learning the finance side of the business. I was then offered a great career opportunity to return to the South Bay to manage and sell Bank Owned properties for one of Los Angeles’ top REO brokers. Ready to get more involved in working with buyers and sellers I made the switch in 2011 to RE/​MAX Estate Properties to join with my mother, Cari who has been the greatest teacher I could ever ask for.

Cari and Britt are an awesome team and they made our home purchase experience a real pleasure. They worked with us for months on end to find a home that met all of our dream criteria. They truly epitomize everything a great realtor team should be — responsive, proactive, market savvy, and exceptionally trustworthy. I would have no hesitation working with either of them on an individual basis, but as a team they are unstoppable. Our area of focus covered the South Bay from El Segundo to Palos Verdes. Cari and Brittney sold our house in Redondo Beach and were the best agents I have ever worked with. Their tag team approach worked very well and provided us with constant support and information. I really picked Cari’s brain and she always provided clear, confident advice that helped us maximize our sale without expending money that we would never see again. She gets it. Brittney was a great balance to Cari that provided expertise on marketing and social media that helped get us more exposure. Their video for our house blew us away.
This was a rare experience where I felt I couldn’t have done better in getting expert help in selling my house. Our sales price was higher than asking and I can’t say enough about Cari and Brittney. Cari represented us on a home purchase as a buyer on a house she was selling and was outright dishonest with us. As a result, we lost the home of our dreams. Not kidding, she outright lied to me about the incoming offers she received. In addition, there was no attention placed on making our offer attractive (i.e, no appraisal or inspection contingency). As a result, she guided us into
Making a losing offer. I guess we didn’t offer her enough of a bonus on top of her being the selling and buying agent. I didn’t realize how much dishonesty there was in real estate until now.

When somebody recommends their friend for any kind of service, I usually take it with a grain of salt, but with Cari and Britt that was completely unnecessary. I was new to the area and my budget was borderline enough, so I knew that finding my home was never going to be easy. It took several months, but they were very patient throughout the process, and I couldn’t be a happier homeowner.
This was my first house and I was quite stressed and overwhelmed to start with. They were very kind, but at the same time straightforward from the beginning where I’m standing in a highly competitive area such as South Bay. They know the market very well, which is the key in winning a bid without the highest offer like in my case. In any negotiation the winner is the one with more information, and they have a ton.

When we were trying to sell our home in San Pedro we were referred to Cari and Britt through my husband’s job. They were amazing, they sat down with us and explained how to price our home so that we got the right price. Guess what, we did!!! I just bought my first home, and I’m so happy I had Cari and Britt on my side. they are the BEST! I found them right here on Unilocal,and I’m happy to report all the rave reviews are true! They were amazing from start to finish… Patient with me as I looked at A LOT of places, never rushing me into anything, I never felt pressured. Very on top of things, constantly checking for new listings, even finding some that had not hit the market yet. They helped guide me through the whole process and I really felt I had an agent I could trust, that was looking out for my best interest, which was huge. They are also incredibly knowledgable about the South Bay. And once I found my dream home, (Yay!) which had multiple offers, Cari was excellent at navigating through the negotiation process. She’s a pro, you want her on your side! I definitely felt she was looking out for me, and wanted me to be really happy with my new home! As a newbie to the South Bay, Cari also helped me out with tons of recommendations… from flooring guys, to doctors to where to get my hair done. Brittney came to me highly recommended, but I must say she was drastically undersold. Beginning with the initial search, she had a keen ability to understand exactly what it was I was looking for — so much so that she would even advise me against making offers on interested properties that I’d later realize I wouldn’t have been fully happy with.
She has the intelligence, expertise, sweetness, and confident demeanor to deal with any and all listing agents (and we met our fair share of oddballs) — but at the same time possesses the grit and wherewithal to stand her/​our ground throughout the negotiation and escrow process.
