Great place, I’m always craving a cheese stick when I’m at the beach so I’m really happy when I get one here. Thank you Priscilla for the good service! See you guys next time

Lemonade was good. Only two choices, regular or cherry. Staff was friendly with a smile and the line moved quickly. Great, little refresher spot on the Pier! I could go for a cherry lemonade right now. :)

The best deal for hot dog and /or cheese on stick anywhere, with the advantage of being right on the Redondo Beach Pier! They have kept the original batter recipe that made these famous, with a perfect amount of sweetness to the batter. Seriously, for $ 2.50 per dog/cheese/lemonade, you can’t go wrong if you or the kids are craving a little something! Friendly, excellent service, without the needless colorful costumes and hats of the chain.

One of our favorite bike ride stops on the pier. Classic food stand just like I remember as a kid. Freshly made to order! Hot dogs on a stick or the cheese, both are really good. The lemonade is always refreshing! Food is consistently good!

Favorite place to grab a bite on the pier. It’s the cutest classic spot! The food is consistent and always delicious. Craig, the owner is the nicest guy you’ll ever meet. Love this place.

I ordered the cheese on a stick and a hot dog on a stick. It was just like I remembered as a kid growing up when I’d go shopping at the mall with my Mom. We’d stop and eat at hot dog on a stick and have fresh squeezed lemonade. Another thing I enjoyed was the price was about the same! Very reasonable. Only complaint is that the girls were just in plain red t-shirt, It would of been awesome if they would of had on the old school hot dog on a stick attire! That would have really been cool, well I definitely plan to be returning back when enjoying Redondo Beach Pier with my family and friends.

This place is great. Fresh corn dogs, dipped in batter in front of you, and fresh lemonade. Staff are two cute girls the times I usually go. No complaints. This place serves one thing and does it well.

Good corn dog, good lemonade, $ 5. Staff were efficient while enjoying the day amongst themselves. But then, I didn’t go for smiles and chatting, I went for lunch and it was decent enough that I could see walking over there for a repeat now and then.

The only open food place I would go to on the pier. Amazing lemonade!!! The girls there seem bored and tired all the time though.

My kids love this place. We stop each and every time we bike to the pair. The food and lemonade is consistent mainly because Craig himself makes it. Hats off to a guy who has been doing this for decades.

The lemonade here is excellent and it’s worth a stop if you are on the pier, but there are a few problems: – Indifferent staff – Staff does not wear bright, colorful uniforms – No room for staff to make the lemonade in front of you(ie, young gals pumping up and down, up and down to crush the lemons) – Cash only

Fresh lemonade and the old school corn dog is the perfect combination. Little dive location but the batter is the old school HOTDOGONSTICK recipe. Not the new(cardboard-like) taste from the big hot dog on stick comapny stores. I still can’t figure why the other Hot dog on sticks would mess with the great recipe but at least Craig’s still has the original YUMMY

I write about food and travel for a Chinese mag and came to the pier for an assignment. I tried all the lemonade stand on the pier and Craig’s is definitely the best. The lemonade is REAL, not some mix of artificial, chemical ingredients. Their cheese on a stick is pretty satisfying too.

Before Craig, I didn’t know what a real corn dog was. Before Craig, I didn’t know my mind would be blown over a corn dog. Specifically, over its slightly sweet cornmeal batter deep fried to be pleasantly crumbly. Thank you Craig.

I have been coming to Craig’s hot dog on a stick since I was born! Any time I bike the strand, I stop for a lemonade. and if it’s lunch time. I get a cheese on a stick. The lemonade is the best there is. anywhere. It’s so good, I’ve dont my best to replicate their lemonade at home. I like best when Craig is actually there. I’ll admit I’ve had to stand there waiting before when seemingly noone is there. I think the young girls are out back texting or smoking. But it doesn’t matter. this place is a gem. it has my heart. I love it. It’s my sweetest memory lunch spot. Cheese on a stick or hot dog on a stick. He beats the one at the mall.

I generally try to avoid massive amounts of fried food loaded with ungodly amounts of fat and calories… but I can’t help but cave in when it comes to Craigs Hot Dog on a Stick. The batter they use is perfect… its like eating cake with a meaty delight on the inside. They also have cheese on a stick… oh wow. If you haven’t indulged in this treat, now is the time my friends, now is the time. Now GO. NOW is the time to experience the glory that is the corndog!

I really have to contain myself when I hear people order cheese on a stick. Why??? Because they’re not enunciating their words, so it comes out sounding like can I have a cheese *ick. Stopped by this little spot just before going to a concert at the Brixton. It’s a hole in the wall, but if you’re familiar with the primary colors then you know what it’s all about. Dogs dipped batter and fried. This location isn’t really veggie friendly if that’s a concern. Wifey was hoping for a veggie dog which we’ve had at the mall location but this location doesn’t offer the tofu pups. Cheese on a stick was fine. The lady working that evening was super chill and totally went along with us snapping away at her creating our fried goodness. She even took the time to pose while the line was starting to build. I was hoping for a lemonade, but my priorities of getting a cold brew stopped me. Next time, I stop by I’ll make sure to get their lemonade. If it wasn’t for the Passport to Redondo Beach, I don’t think I would’ve ventured over to this little place.

I generally don’t like the corn dogs from Hot Dog on a Stick. They are good, but not exceptional. Now the cheese on a stick, whoa. Thats good. But Craig’s seems to be the exception. His corn is lighter, tastier. Maybe it’s that sea salt air, or the fact that the Redondo Beach Pier hasn’t changed since the 70’s. But whatever it is, I’ll travel down to the south bay just to have one. And while they don’t have teenagers making lemonade with the long sticks, I much prefer Craig’s chipper, easy going beach personality any day!
