You know the saying, you get what you pay for. Or is it, you pay for what you get. Hmm, you’re gonna get it? That is exactly what will happen when you step into Freedom Cycle.
They have something for nearly anyone who wants to be on 2 or even 3 wheels!
Their specialization is the British masterpiece, Triumph. The Bonneville still piques my interest in retro styling. That’s where the retro stops and technology starts. The engines are a thing of beauty with a nearly 900 cc parallel twin engine, it has no problem keeping with most bikes.
They also have in stock Moto Guzzi and Piaggio for their scooter line.
A motorcycle selection is one thing. What sets them apart is they will take the time and talk to you, regardless of your level of expertise. Dispite the fact that they want you to patronize thier store, they will not patronize you!
Service may not be cheap, but like I said at the get go, you do get what you pay for.
With the exception of a name brand bike store that allows you to get on any of their bikes to test ride them (almost), Freedom cycle has several bikes out front that, I’ve been told, are meant for test rides. I have yet to try that out, but when I’m ready to get another Triumph, you bet your shiny chrome tail pipe, I will test ride one of those beauties!
Every first saturday of the month, they have a free lunch. Just walk in from 11:00 onward and chit chat with people behind the counter. They are a font of useful information from their bikes to their service.

Bottom Line
Yes I will go back there. I like their products and mostly, I enjoy their service.

Nice guys and do great work at a reasonable price. The only annoyance is lack of communication. I ordered parts and didn’t get a call after 3 weeks and the day I called, «oh yeah, they just came in!» How convenient. Had bike work done and after over a week, had to call and they said, «oh yeah we just finished!» Convenient again. Bike also didn’t have battery cover on it.

They have worked on my Vespa. They are very expensive over $ 400 to fix two things. Then I called in fo a small the person who picked up the phone said «I don’t think we have it we will have to call you back» that was a week ago! I ordered it off the web for .79 cents yes I have to pay shipping I did order more then one item. Freedom cycle has lost me as a customer.

I went in to look at bikes and not one person asked if I needed help or answer any questions. I did however return for a second look at bikes and was very happy with the customer service and professionalism.

Awsome place! Great inventory and great staff. Just bought my Rocket 3 and Anthony jumped through every hoop to make it happen. They didnt have the model i wanted in stock so James not only drove to Vegas to get it, he and Anthony dropped it off in my driveway at Tahoe.
Nothing but praise for these guys, seriously! A lot of salestaff «SAY» they treat you like family but this is the first time i believe it.

I live in LA but bought my 1050 Tiger from Mark & Brad in 2008. The clock just turned 80,000 with NO problems. With a daughter in Reno and a son in Nevada City, CA I ride through Reno a good 8 to 10 times a year and always stop for minor service, coffee, and bs. Great shop and great guys. This past Feb, rode to Las Vegas for the Mecham bike auction from LA to Vegas without going on any fwy. ie Death Valley Used the Las Vegas store as home base for more coffee and bs. Also met a guy riding from Alaska to Mexico City on a Tiger 800. Mark & Brad are real motorcycle people that I can recommend anytime.

Bought some tires for my YAMAHA Super Tenere… same price as the lowest prices on the internet and installed in less than 2 hours with me bringing the rims. I would rather keep my money local anyway !!!
Nice and Friendly staff.
BTW, always recommend this shop to anybody who is looking for a great shop.

Went in to look at a Piaggio Motor Scooter after researching them on line. One of the owners showed us a new 2012 Scooter, told us it was the same as the 2014 model, and told us the price (which was almost twice the MSRP shown on the manufacturer’s website) but because it was an old model said he’d sell it for about $ 1500 less (which was still about $ 500.00 more than the MSRP). The 2012 is NOT the same as the 2014 as the engine was improved for 2014.
We went to Big Valley Honda where we looked at a comparable Honda Motor Scooter, which is better in many ways and which Big Valley was selling at the true MSRP.

These guys are rad. No pressure sales. Honest and upfront and very personal. They know what they are doing to a T. I bought my Triumph from them about a year ago. I’d return for sure when I need another:) oh. And the parts dept are on the ball as well

Billy Stutgart is awesome! I don’t know how the rest of the employees treat their customers at Freedom, but he went way beyond the call of duty to get my bike up and running. I have a Ducati and was stranded. It takes a special tool to repair my bike, he improvised [after the shop was closed no less!] and I was on my way!
If the other employees/​managers are like him, they have a great thing going there!

I met the Brothers Mark and Brad in 2005 when I stopped by to see what they were all about on a Saturday when I was out riding my Motorcycle. I just looked around then left. A year later I was in need of a new chain and I went to Freedom Cycle to see if they had one my size and type. When I walk through the door Mark and Brad were in the showroom talking. Right away Mark said Hello Bob how are you? Being there only once before a year ago and he remembered my name. Anyway I said I am fine and do you have a chain that fits my bike. They did and the price was as expected. No surprises except for him to remember me. I have yet to buy a bike from Freedom Cycle but I have purchased helmets, tires, and other items. I am always greeted like I am one of the family. This year may be the year I buy a new bike from them. My bike is 7 years old and Freedom has so many new models that excite me. Thats the only thing hard to deal with at Freedom Cycle is picking out which bike to buy. Everyone I have met that has bought a bike from Freedom has been very happy !
There is no doubt that they are the best in Customer Service of any dealer in the State of Nevada.

I went in last week to see about purchasing some good gear for this cold weather and the guys there were most helpful! I got everything I needed for a great price! Highly recommend to others.

I recently have had the opportunity to work with the guys down at Triumph. I met with one of the owners a couple years ago when I was deciding to purchase my first bike, even though I didn’t buy that first bike from them, they still provided me with a lot of ideas and tips.
I’m now planning on trading in a bike I currently own, and getting a pre-​owned Triumph Tiger 1050. James, our salesman, has been SO helpful in asking the right quests to help identify what is truly best for me. They want to do what’s right for you. The owners Mark and Mike have also really been outstanding and it is immediately known that they really care about their business, and with that their customers.
They allowed me to test ride one of their bikes, also gave one of my buds a bike of theirs to ride, the bike was amazing, and when we returned with the bikes, we were greeted with hot dogs! Haha, that was pretty awesome.
I believe they offer fair and competitive rates and I really appreciate the way they do business. The location is a bit tucked away, not a bad thing, but their shop is certainly worth checking out for any accessories or new bikes.

There are very few places left in the world where you really feel like a company values you as a person, not just your business or patronage. Freedom cycle is one of those businesses.
I had the pleasure of purchased from Freedom Cycle (Reno) a Thruxton, it’s an amazing bike, beautiful powerful and comfortable. Mark and his team were friendly and knowledgeable, generous with their advice and helped to bring the bike in when he didn’t have it in stock. After it arrived they took the time to look it over thoroughly with me to make sure I was comfortable with the particulars of my new bike and even let me borrow a jacket so that would be safe on the ride home (they didn’t have a jacket in my size at the time I brought the bike home).
After owning the bike and loving it I decided to start a family and with that reduce the risks I was taking in my life. So I decided to put off owning a motorcycle until after my kids were grown and out of the house. While trying to sell the bike, I made the mistake of letting a friend borrow it for a weekend while he was in town. He dumped the bike in a parking lot and scuffed most of the parts on the right side.
Because I was selling my bike I thought I would bring it in to the dealer and ensure that it was in tip top shape before the sale. Here is where I encountered an issue, Freedom Cycle is a small family owned shop and the asked for me to pay for the repair before the parts were ordered. This made me uncomfortable and I told them as much over the phone. After a few minutes they agreed to repair
the bike and pay for it when the work was complete.
The repair process took a few months, which seemed like a long time for the amount of damage and I was not contacted about the status of the repair during that time. This also was an issue for me, not because I was in a hurry but because no one had contacted me at all during that time.
After the repair was completed, I was contacted and asked about when I could come pick up the bike (it was winter and not easy for me to get to the shop safely).
After a few weeks of inability to make the weather and my schedule work, Hans called me and offered to drop the bike off at my house, no charge! (Now that was the service I had come to know and expect). I was excited at that idea and came in to the shop to inspect the bike. It looked as good as new (some things just take time I guess). Shortly after that Hans arrived at my house, the bike in a trailer looking as good as the day I had bought it. It was detailed, polished and they had even keep it on a battery tender during the time at their shop so it was fully charged.
After having such a good buying experience I was upset during the repair process, my expectations of their customer service were high and they had not been met. However after making my issue known everyone was quick to make accommodations and really cared about my experience. At this point I look at this shop as I would my family. They are not perfect, but they care about you and will do what is right.
I would recommend them to anyone looking to buy a bike or even just as a place to stop by and chat motorcycles.

went here looking for some fork oil,. they have alot of nice triumphs and used harleys, some folks forget about this place tucked behind Winco, worth a check out. or in this case a check in!

Far & away N. NV’s best stop for those who want their Harley’s treated as if the folks at Freedom actually owned the bike.
Don’t let the Triumph signs throw you. Although they are the local dealership for this exceptionally revived brand, owners Mark & Brad Yuill (Goggle Yuill Brothers for their rich history. Inc. their days building & racing Pro Stock) are Harley guys through & through.
For me, Brad took a Stage 1 2002 Road King Classic & turned it into a 95″ 105 hp/​111 fpt monster. Too funny when I blast away from the CVO 110’s!!!
As honest, fair as they come. Priced as if they have a ton of competition, yet for those who want to really beef up their motor to a service or some very minor fix, they really are the only game in town.
Do I like these guys? Heck yeah! They have earned it & then some over my many years utilizing their exceptional skills!
