Purchased laser hair removal for legs. On my first visit, I complained of pain and the tech said that they did not have numbing gel and everybody complained of slight pain.
Thinking I was a wimp I gritted my teeth and tolerated the procedure. I have severe 2^nd And 3^rd degree burns on both my legs, back, side, shin and ankles.
Some of them are raised and blistered and the others raw and painful. I cannot wear skirts, shorts or take hot showers or sit in a sauna. They are visible, painfull and ugly. Ten days later they are not any better. When I contacted the owner she said that people with dark skin get burned. I understand her logic being in the medical field myself but I have had my underarms done few years ago, no burns, pain or scarring. So I guess there maybe settings that can be used with dark skin.
She left me a dollop of some special scar prevention cream at the spa which I thankfully refused. The dollop would not have lasted even for a single application. I am using a tube of neosporin a week.
So all in all I did not have a good experience, painfull and ugly burns and may have permanent scarring on my legs.
