I’ve been pondering writing this post, but I really think this time I’m done with this location. Every time I go, I sit in the chair and try to explain how I want my eyebrows they always cut me off and rush to start working on my brows weather there’s other customers or if the store is empty.
This time I also wanted to get the sides of my face threaded, big mistake. The lady was threading my face so hard I felt like the string was cutting me, and when I told her it was hurting she just said that my hair was really long that’s why it hurts and continued threading super hard.
When I left I had read line marks all over my face, and immediately felt irritated. At night I noticed I had bumps all over. By the next day I had broke out with pimples and bumps all over the sides of my face where she threaded. It frustrates me that I paid for this kind of treatment, especially when there was no reason to rush, if she just would have took the time to hear me out and had some compassion when working on her clients. Now it looks like I have acne all over my face, and my eyebrows are too thin.

This place is so horrible, I went in for a Brazilian wax and the lady did such a horrible job. There was still hair and wax left on me. When I went back to talk to her she was very rude about the situation and did nothing to help me or the situation. I asked for her name and the corporate number. She gave me the wrong number and refused to give me her name (she was the store manager by the way). I would not recommended this location whatsoever.

There really needs to be a zero star option. This place is awful! I have been there twice and both times got stuck with the older lady that wears glasses that does a horrendous job. Against my better judgment, I decided to give it/​her a 2^nd chance. She made my eyebrows thinner, uneven, and missed a ton of hair below my brows! How can they be too thin and hairy at the same time, you ask? You have to have to see this woman work to understand the monstrosity that she considers to be an «even brow» SMH. I don’t know WTF she did but she also managed to tear my skin. IDK if she jabbed my skin with her nails or ripped it with the thread but I have a painful and unattractive cut below my eyebrow. The place is dimly lit which does not help in seeing what a disaster your eyebrows are until you leave, I’m sure that’s no accident. She was completely unapologetic when I pointed out the vast difference in the shape of the eyebrows and when I complained that they were too thin. She just kept saying «no, they’re even, they’re even I only cleaned them up, I didn’t make them thinner.» I was so frustrated that I didn’t even complain about the patches of strays, I just paid the $ 8 and didn’t tip. She had the audacity to ask if I wanted a stamp card and I said «no, I won’t be coming back» & she said, «ok that’s fine.» My eyebrows were burning until the next day. I am not sure what she did but my skin was so irritated and tender for about 20 hours afterward. So let’s recap, I have uneven, overly thin, differently shaped brows (one arched, one rounded), a gouge taken out of my face, PATCHES of stray hairs EVERYWHERE, and extremely painful eyebrows. And to top it off they have rude employees. Never go there. I’m not exaggerating, that lady has no business threading anyone’s eyebrows. EVER.

The threading is amazing! I went there for the first time recently and she could not have been more perfect with my eyebrows. Most people don’t understand the word «clean up» but the staff here does. I have been afraid to go to a new place since I moved because normally places make my eyebrows too thing or try to do their own shaping magic without my permission but this place truly knows their craft. Would definitely recommend.

Horrible service.
Went in asking for a clean up and upper lip. Thinking id be out with no worries… But no, I walked out with super thin eyebrows. Never have I had thin eyebrows. I’ve Always had them thick. But once I brought it up to the lady she said «your eyebrows are bushy and too thick!» OKAY They are MY eyebrows! So IT RESULTED INTO removing a lot of my hair. I Wasn’t a happy person!!! I Don’t recommend because they just do what they want and not what they are asked to do. DONT TRUST WITH YOUR EYEBROWS.

So I was looking for a place to get a Brazilian wax because I didn’t want to drive to the place usually to go to. But after this visit I know I’ll be coming back. I checked my phone when I got off my car and it was 5:16 I walked in the mall, told them what I wanted. And took me to the room to get it done. The girl was friendly and it wasn’t awkward. She was really helpful too. I payed and left the mall and I check my phone again and it was 5:26. Only 10 min!!! So happy with the results.

Came here to get my eyebrows done because I didn’t have time to go to my usual place and I highly regret it! The person who did my eyebrows took off some hairs that I had been waiting to grow back because my eyebrows were messed up without them. When I pointed it out, she rudely responded that my eyebrows were just like that and that she could take a couple of hairs off of the eyebrow she hasn’t messed up but they still wouldn’t look the same. I told her to leave them and she still took the hairs off while giving me attitude the whole time. Now both of my eyebrows are messed up. Never had this problem with my usual eyebrow lady because she is able to clearly see that my eyebrows are not that different. Wish I could give this place zero stars.

I love coming here, they always do a great job in my eyebrows. What they could improve on in my opinion is to be more friendly.

I used to like this place, but my last two visits were rushed and sloppy. They didn’t even ask for input on my brows when threading. They also missed a lot of hairs, which I didn’t even realize until I got home because they hurried me to pay. The workers did not greet us and seemed impatient and were pretty rude overall. I don’t expect amazing manners when I come here but the last two times were just ridiculous.

Customer service so bad we didn’t even get served.
My friends and I came to this location early Friday morning after I had called two other locations asking about henna. They recommended we come to the mall location since they have more than one henna artist working there.
We walk in and see three employees all sitting down, no other customers. We ask to get henna and show her the simple (!) design we want. She straight up says, «No, I can’t do that,» and keeps repeating, «I can’t.» She doesn’t offer to do another design. She doesn’t offer any explanation. She doesn’t even get out of her chair.
Super rude. We left with nothing.

They do good eyebrows but u always have to check and tell them what they missed and they miss a bunch of hair I think it’s just so that u come back more often also they have their stamp cards on an app and not everyone has a mobile device

I explained exactly what I wanted and how I wanted my eyebrows and it took her all it 2 minutes to do. It felt very rushed and like she didn’t care. No tip left

Tyler Mall House of Beauty is not the place to come and get your brows done. I swear, I seem to have bad luck and I almost always end up getting the older lady with glasses and she always messes up my brows after I explain in great depth what exactly I want. She proceeded to make my brows so thin and she left excess hair every where. All she did was make an outline around my brows and that was it. And what sucks is that the lighting in House of Beauty is dim so it is hard for me to catch when they leave hairs. I get my upper lip done here too and even that they seem to mess up. Now I’ve stopped getting my eyebrows done here and just get my upper lip done if I really need it. Whenever they mess up my eyebrows I have to wait 2 months to grow them out and they are thick and bushy. I don’t know why they can’t give me a thick, natural shape and they just go and make it super thin and uneven. I also end up breaking out. I don’t know what the stuff is that they put on after threading, but they just dab it on and it doesn’t really help with the irritation. Anyways, avoid this place at all costs.

This was a horrible experience! Was not happy at all! I do not recommend this place to anyone! And I will never be going here again

If you are looking to get a brazilian wax DON’T get it here. I have never had so many broken hairs that it was a total waste of money and time

It is so hard to find someone that do good job, that change a lot the people how work there…
The more I go the worse my eye brows get done…

If you think about getting your eyebrows done here, please think twice. I went in on a Saturday night, probably the slowest night of the week and I specifically asked for a clean up. The young lady who did my eyebrows decided to thin my eyebrows leaving my right eyebrow 50% thinner than my left one. She managed to thin them out and leave excess outside hairs. I was so disappointed and was still expected to pay $ 12. Never again will I return.

I have been going to house of beauty for eyebrows since they opened in riverside on Chicago st.
I have always gotten such great service and every time I leave with a smile on my face because my eyebrows always looks 100%!

Prices are also very reasonable and once you fill your stamp card you will receive free eyebrow service.

First time going in I was super scared and rightfully so cause it hurt like a mother. It took her 5 seconds to clean up my brows (yes I’m exaggerating). Fast and clean, she wasn’t the friendliest person but whatever. I’ll be back

I went back today to get my eyebrows cleaned up again, and this visit was much different than my last visit.
One of the girls who has done my eyebrows in the past let me know that they read my review on Unilocal and apologized for what happened the last time. She thanked me for coming back in and told me that this visit would be free and let me know it would be different. (I should note that she is not the one who did my eyebrows in my previous review — she does a good job)
And it was different — my eyebrows came out clean and even, and it hurt a lot less than the last time. They even signed my stamp card despite it being a visit on the house.
I let her know I appreciated her reading my review and making it right. It shows that they really care about their customers and want to ensure they leave satisfied with their visit. I write a lot of reviews on Unilocal and it’s not often that one of the businesses will remember me and try to make it right if I wasn’t satisfied on my last visit. I will definitely keep coming back to this location.
