Miller’s Synthetic Turf & Putting Greens

Exactly the type of setup I like to do business with, and recommend. Very responsive to the initial web inquiry (with a call back). Came out promptly to survey and price the work (about 250sq ft of front lawn that was more than worse for wear au-​natural), Arrived and installed when they said they would. And 6 months later, I’m very happy with the outcome. Can’t ask for more than that.

We spent a month interviewing artificial turf companies. Luckily, our dog trainer referred us to Miller’s because they had just done Lafayette Park in SF and my dog trainer’s backyard. After getting quotes from 5 – 6 other companies, we were blown away by the level of detail that Lee Miller put into our quote and how much time he spent walking us through the details of artificial turf. Plus, their private label turf was more natural looking and sturdier than anything else we sampled. And their price was better than any quote we got. On top of that, Lee agree to put a rush on our install because we had family visiting in two weeks.
The install crew were fantastic (five hours from start to finish) and the final results were far beyond our expectations.
The best part is that now I can lie down on the grass and play with our three dogs. Something I would never have done in its previous «dust bowl/​mud pit» condition.

I highly recommend Miller’s Synthetic Turf. They recently put a putting green into my backyard. They took great care during the entire process to make sure my putting green was exactly the way I wanted it. I love the wide fringe that lets me do some chipping and the slopes they created make for some very challenging putting! We have a serious mole problem in our yard, too, and Miller’s installed a metal mesh under my putting green to keep those rascals from disrupting my putting surface. What I also wanted to mention was their excellent customer service and support. During the installation, they inadvertently hit a sprinkler pipe that none of us noticed until I put the sprinklers on a couple of weeks later. I called Adam and he had a crew out to my house the very next morning to fix the problem — I was impressed. The entire crew at Miller’s is great. You won’t be disappointed if you choose Miller’s. They’ll do the job right and will be there for you if you ever need them.

Extremely happy with their product and customer service. I would recommend them to anyone looking to put faux grass. We have a fairly large backyard and wanted to make sure we used a reliable company that would do the job right the first time around. The entire crew were truly amazing, hands down. Their prices were competitive which was an added bonus. They really take pride in their work and it shows in the finished product!

I am completely satisfied with my entire experience with Miller’s Synthetic Turf.
Prior to calling Miller’s I called 4 – 5 other contractors, including Heavenly Greens, One Lawn, and several other independent guys. Miller’s is the best and I highly recommend their work.
Price came out to be around $ 11/​sq foot and Lee Miller, the guy who came to do the quote was extremely reasonable and explained exactly what I could expect. The day the guys came to do the work, they came on time, and cleaned up everything after they were done.
Paul, the foreman was very good about the communication explaining what was being done. Justin, was actually training 2 of the guys (a total of 8 – 9 guys were on the job). I could tell the way Justin was explaining how the workers should lay the grass would determine the longevity and quality of results (no bubbles or sinkholes). They did several rounds of baserock, including an anti-​weed barrier at the very bottom.
Two of my biggest fears were:
1) puddles (when it rains) 2) unevenness resulting in grass scrunching up like a rug
Both of these fears were completely eliminated when I saw the guys actually doing the base rock compacting and the actual laying of the artificial turf. Justin is a real pro.
Every step of the work was professional and you could tell he had a lot of experience doing it.
Finally, and most importantly, Lee, Justin and Paul’s communication was top notch. They explained all of the things to look for (and how to prevent weeds). They gave me advanced warning of when they were doing the work. They explained why they couldn’t just put grass over a lump of tree roots. They cleaned up after themselves. They were apologetic that they made so much noise.
Never had a better experience with a contractor like this in my memory!

We did a ton of research and got quotes from 4 – 5 different companies, eventually deciding to go with Miller’s. The price was reasonable (half the price of some of the other companies), and Lee who came to do the quote was not pushy at all and made us feel comfortable. The grass was the last part of our complete backyard landscaping project and it was done on Thursday. We couldn’t be happier! Both with the quality, workmanship, and service. The guys that came were super friendly and personable. We were home that day, so we were able to watch every step and see how careful and detail oriented they were. It’s alot more work than people think to put in artificial turf. It’s only been 2 days since the grass has been in, and all we want to do is go outside and run around on the grass: D

This company was great from start to finish. They were 35%less than Heavenly Greens because they don’t have so much marketing cost like Heavenly Greens does. It was great to work with Lee. He was always available and his crew is really friendly. The grass looks real and I am glad they use sand for their infill instead of shredded tires. Keep up the good work!

We recently had synthetic turf installed by Miller’s and couldn’t be happier. High quality product expertly installed at a very reasonable price. My wife and I had no fewer than five estimates and what set Miller’s apart from the others was their ability to accurately measure the area we had to have covered. Other estimates ranged between a little over 1,000 sq. ft to a high of 1,170 sq. ft. Miller’s measured our three odd shaped areas to be 900 sq. ft. Understand that cost per sq. feet means nothing if the contractor measures incorrectly. In addition to measuring accurately, Miller’s will take on any size job and has no minimum like another well known company has. Another local company quoted a cost of $ 14 — $ 18/​sq. ft. Miller’s quote was in the neighborhood of $ 10/​sq. ft. I saw a Unilocal review for one of the companies we spoke to and they wrote up an estimate of $ 23,000 to cover 1500 sq. ft! I’ve seen their work and although it is nice, ours is just as nice.
In addition to getting other estimates, we also saw numerous samples. We had a sample from another company which we really liked and compared it to what Miller’s was offering and we liked Miller’s offering better. One of the main criteria was how real the synthetic turf looked.
Two other neighbors have contracted with Miller’s to have turf installed and a third neighbor is seriously considering it. In addition, several passersby have complimented us on our new «lawn.»
We realize that El Nino is scheduled to dumps tons of rain on us, but we are also aware that periods of drought are inevitable. We couldn’t be happier!!!

Had my back yard and front yard done a couple of weeks ago, it looks great. I have a big Saint Bernard and the turf is wonderful no more messes, it always looks amazing and best of all my dog doesn’t get dirt in the house anymore the front yard looks amazing, with this drought I’ve got the only green grass in the neighborhood. Miller’s was the best company I got estimates from not only was Jake super nice he gave me a fair estimate for labor and turf. They were also the only ones that could do it the earliest. Very happy with my new turf !!!

Everyone from Miller’s that I encountered was professional and helpful. Every one. That’s impressive. From getting an estimate to the final clean up, it was a pleasure working with this company. I’m completely satisfied that I got the best product for my yard and that it was installed with care. My whole family is enjoying our yard so much more.

Best back yard investment! First off Jason and his crew are extremely professional and their work is amazing. The attention to detail rivals other companies. My neighbors went with some other «big» company and their turf looks ugly after less than a year. It’s been almost three years in the brutal CA sun and my turf looks stunning. I waited to write a review because I wanted to show how the grass looks after multiple seasons. I have zero issues! People ask me if its real sometimes. I’m very pleased and highly recommend Millers!

We just had Miller’s take out our back lawn as well as some shrubs and a cement slab and replace it with about 500 sq. ft. of synthetic turf. I got 4 bids and Miller’s was very competitive. After meeting with Miller’s I was impressed that they arrived on time (even coming to Marin from Lodi) and that the installer I met with, Paul, was professional, courteous and had good ideas.
They fit us into their schedule within a week and arrived promptly at 7:00am to begin the job, the entire crew was polite and efficient. The end product exceeded my expectations and we all love it (kids, dog, parents).
Time will tell if it stands the test of time but they said if there are any problems to just call and they will come out to fix it.

I just had front and back of my residence done by Millers using their new Challenger industries Turf and Envirofill base. In the front, they replaced a grass lawn. In the rear of our property, they installed the turf over a concrete patio. The new lawns look beautiful and real, in fact so much so that we had to leave a sign for our gardener not to mow the new lawns! Tony, Paul and his workers were competent, efficient, creative professional and neat. Tony was open to changes to the contract to provide us with a heightened comfort level. The price was very fair. Millers is one of the best contractors We have ever worked with.

Emailed and got a call back from Jake right away. Came out on a Saturday and gave me the price right on the spot. They have materials no one else has suggested or recommended which showed me they know what they are doing. Installed in under a day and it looks great. As a contractor myself their is nothing better than leaving in the morning and coming home to a new beautiful back yard that’s installed correctly and no evidence left behind that they were ever there. Thanks to Miller’s Synthetic Turf and Putting Greens I have enjoyed my back yard more in the past few weeks than I have the past three years. After fruitless efforts trying to grow real grass I gave up and looked into synthetic. The sales guy, John, arrived prompt, provided a number of samples and more enough information about the products they offer that I felt I could truly make an informed decision. I was impressed with the quality of the samples. Other samples I had looked into at places like Home Depot, Lowes, Costco, and ever other local synthetic installers, felt more like shredded plastic compared to what Miller’s product, which looks and feels like real grass. I used a pair of pliers to tug at the strands of grass from the sample to see how easy it could pull out. Hard as I could, that grass did not budge from it matting.
It took a couple of weeks for my order to come in but it was worth the wait. Due to scheduling conflicts on my part, the install was done in three sessions. Jason understood what I needed and was very accommodating. The demolition of the back yard was nothing short of impressive. I understand navigating sprinklers, uneven areas from removed trees, and drainage could be complicated, but Jason’s crew handled it like the pros they are. It was a hard 8+ hours but they were able to install the large base in one day.
Three days later, again because of my schedule conflicts, they came to install the grass. My neighbors were wide-​eyed as they watched as all my grass rolled out in the street so the crew could check that the seams matched before install. It was a well orchestrated effort and in a couple of hours my yard was 98% complete. I am not ashamed to admit that the first thing I did after they left was lay smack dab in the middle of the yard to enjoy the feel of the new grass. I was completely ecstatic.
The final install session was two weeks ago. As I mentioned before Jason was very accommodating. Two small areas of my yard were scheduled to have concrete poured. Jason suggested that the adjacent areas of grass be loosely installed so they could come back after the concrete was put in and so they cut and fit the grass properly. That suggestion displayed that Miller’s is not just interested making a buck but focused in making sure customers have the best product and install possible.
My yard looks and feels completely different. My dog’s absolutely love it. To clean I simply use a blower to remove debris from neighboring trees and wash it down with a hose and it looks like the day they installed it. I have zero regrets about Miller’s and would recommend them to anyone. In fact, two of my friends have already had grass installed based on the results of my yard.

Great recent experience with Miller’s. I first sent an email via their website to get a quote and decided to call as well — and was able to speak with Jason the owner. He was very knowledgeable and set clear expectations on what they do, their pricing and that I think it’s John that would call me and schedule a free quote.
John called me the next day and we were able to immediately schedule an appointment for him to come out and give us a quote. He came out right on time — and he gave us a great sales pitch — we took an instant liking to him and we ended up falling in LOVE with the product. The pricing he gave us was a bit outside of our budget (we have just a small patch we needed synthetic turf on — about 150 square feet), but he worked with us over a couple of days to get an agreed upon price and we were able to schedule.
The crew came out on the day and time that we agreed upon and they finished the work in less than 4 hours! the end product was amazing, the quality is wonderful — we LOVE how it looks and how it feels and it really has given our back yard a finished look now :) The crew was very professional and worked very swiftly and efficiently. I’d recommend these guys in a heartbeat to anyone who was looking to get synthetic turf installed.

I did research about the artificial turf with several different companies to replace my real grass in front and backyard to cope with the worst drought season. Finally, I did chose the Miller’s Synthetic Turf because they gave me the best quote and the knowledge of the representative, Jake answered very details for all my questions and gave me very good advise also. Jason’s crews are very professional, they’re on time, experience, and fun to work with. On the day to install, they did the amazing job, finished the fantastic project, and clean up everything before the last person left. The good news, Aug. 2012 my family used 5,300 water units. Aug. 2013 used 4,800 units. Now, after install the artificial grass Aug. 2014 total 1,700 water units.

Great job! These guys know what they are doing and dont waste any time. Very affordable for the amount of work they do. I have a small backyard that I wanted to renovate for new tenants and Miller’s did an awesome job. They were in and out in 3 hours in the blazing heat. Really nice guys and gave alot of professional advice. I highly recommend them. I’m so happy with the results!
