Morton’s Towing & Recovery

I called Morton’s to see if they had a truck that could fit in a low level parking garage and not only were they super friendly and helpful but they were fast! I was in a tight spot, literally, and Rick came in less than 45 minutes of my calling and was as nice and helpful as can be. Hands down the best experience I have ever had using a towing service. Thank you for making a stressful morning much easier!

I backed my car into a ditch and it was completely unable to drive out (luckily no damage), Jordan came immediately and was so careful in finding a solution. He was so calm and was very sure to not do any damage in any way. He got the car out with no issues at all and was very friendly and helpful. Extremely pleasant experience.

We got a flat tire on our way home from a concert in Washington DC last Monday night. Pulled off of Rt. 270 onto the Middlebrook Rd. exit ramp. I almost had my spare on when the jack slipped as we were on a slight incline. Luckily no one was hurt but anyway, we waited for over 2 hours for AAA to help and the driver called and was another hour away. It was 2:00 in the morning when I called Morton’s Towing. The owner answered the phone personally and had someone out to help me within 20 minutes. The rate was more than fair and the service was prompt. The driver was also very friendly and efficient. Thanks Morton’s Towing for the great service!

Quick and courteous! The driver was very patient with me having two kiddos along for the ride. They arrived quickly and didn’t cost an arm and a leg!

The best indicator i could tell you is whenever i call AAA for something (never good of course), i am relieved when i see a Morton’s truck pull up.
Does that tell you enough ?
Mainly because there are some real jack@sses out there in the towing business both from a competency and integrity aspect.
But Morton’s has their act together.
Now if they could just get a better location. I travel that route a lot and that entrance to their place on Redland Road is a nightmare. For both regular users of Redland and them too i’m sure.

My BMW 325i got stock in 495 between exits 40 and 39 on ²⁄₂₁ afternoon during the snow blizzard. After 5 hours in the freezing cold, unsuccessful attempts to get help (multiple calls to the towing companies and friends), I decided to leave the car on the shoulder of the road. During the night police engaged Morton’s Towing & Recovery company to tow my car and a few other cars that were left by their owners.
My car has a manual transmission and was left on 1^st gear. Morton’s broke side front window to put the car on the neutral (nothing was stolen, even my purse which proves it was not a thief). My friend got to the car shortly before it was towed, but couldn’t drive it for me. He confirmed that the window wasn’t broken when he was there shortly before Morton’s. The company refused taking responsibility for the broken window. They also towed my car to their Frederic location and not Rockville location which was much closer to the place where the car was, charging me large fee for towing to a farther away location. It is a rip off!!!
Company representatives were rude, no apologies were made. They charged a hefty fee. And now I need to pay for a window replacement. I do NOT recommend using Morton’s Towing & Recovery.

Car battery is dead. No jumpers. No one around for help. Time to Unilocal for some help.
So I call Morton. Give these guys a shot. Cool, 5 stars. Time to call.
Me: Hi, I need a jump on my car.
Morton Employee: Sure, someone will be with you in 30 – 40 mins.
I give him my information.
Me: Thank you, bye.
One hour rolls by. I’m thinking to myself where is this person?
So I call again.
Me: Hi, I called about an hour ago for a jump.
I tell her what kind of car.
Young lady on the phone: Oh, opps. Someone will be there in 15 minutes.
Me: Wait, did you guys forget?
Young lady on the phone: Hehehehe… We will take 10 dollars off.
Me: Wait so…
Young lady hangs up before I could finish my sentence. No joke, the young lady on the phone just laughed.
The guy finally comes and jumps my car. He also gave me the 10 dollars off that was promised to me.
To wrap things up, maybe I caught these guys on a bad day. Perhaps it was punk a customer day (highly unlikely). Who knows? But I do know that 5 stars is not always an accurate representation.

I had never had to have tow service before so I didn’t quite know what to expect. I did some research to try and find a reputable company. In addition to this one, I sought quotes from two other companies, but this one by far had the most and best reviews out of the local companies I could find. The quote I was given was very reasonable. Even though it was a little higher than the others (by only $ 10), I decided to go with Morton’s Towing. I do not regret it. It was very easy to make an appointment. The driver was VERY prompt. (I had asked my car to be delivered at noon, the dispatcher had said that she’d see about the driver picking up my car from where it broke down around 11:30, and Kimbo pulled up to the driveway to unload the car right around 11:50.) The timing was perfect and everyone I spoke to was very professional and courteous. Honestly I hope I don’t need their services again, but I’d work with them again readily because they did the job so well.

We used these folks today, called AAA and they dispatched Morton’s. Morton’s picked up the car from ExxonMobil off Crabbs Branch Way on a beautiful clean flatbed and trucked it over to Airpark Certified Auto Service on Snouffer School Road for repairs.
Morton’s was on site in no time at all, if I recall they were on site way earlier than estimated by AAA. No complaints at all! Not one!
The gentleman from Morton’s was very polite, very professional, couldn’t have asked for a better guy!
We will definitely call Morton’s for all towing and roadside assistance. We are really happy AAA contacts with them. It’s so nice to know AAA isn’t cutting corners on their service providers.

Called Morton’s to fix my flat tire. Josh took my info and said to expect someone to arrive in 30 minutes. Justin arrived, fixed the flat, and was gone all in under 30 minutes. Justin was friendly, efficient, and knowledgeably answered all of my questions. I couldn’t be more pleased with the service. Thanks!

Had to get car towed from my driveway late one evening. Took about an hour and a half to get here, but that’s what I was told when I called, so their estimate was good.
Driver was very friendly and professional. Only hiccup was in giving my credit card over phone to dispatcher. Got the sense that they weren’t prepared for that for some reason. But, in all, a good experience and nice driver. Recommended.

Morton’s Saves The Day! These guys are impressive. I recently had my battery flat out die on me while at a gas station (fairly ironic, yes). Sadly, the station did not have a set of jumpers and I couldn’t get anyone to take the time to jump my car. I ended up calling AAA and they immediately got me in contact with Morton’s. Literally 3 minutes later there was a Morton’s truck hooked up to my battery. The service tech, Justin, was A+ (Morton’s, you have a great employee in Justin!). He jumped my battery, got me all the paperwork ASAP, and let me know everything he was doing along the way. He also told me of the battery replacement service that was available as a AAA member. I was impressed with the service, and once I got home, decided to call Justin back to take him up on the replacement battery. This guy was at my house in 5 minutes, was very friendly and conversational, and hooked me up with a new battery. Everything was competitively priced, and Justin once again did a great job of letting me know what was going on and what I was getting as a customer. Justin and Morton’s turned my bad day into a great one, and allowed me to get back to what I was doing without taking up too much time or destroying my fragile wallet. Thanks again, Justin!

These guys came to my rescue this morning — EARLY this morning! I leave for work around 7:30 AM and was ready to go, but sadly, my car was not. Dead battery. Not even a chirp. I called a few local tow companies, and got a combination of answering machines, hold music and confusion about when they could send someone. I called Morton’s and they were friendly, said they could send someone to help give me a jump within the hour. Done! The driver indeed got here in that time, was very friendly and helpful and got me on my way.

MORTON’S gets 5 stars because they didn’t try to scam me like other companies. They quoted me $ 195 hook up and $ 4 a mile. I was towing a 30,000 lb+ truck. I called many companies and Morton’s was $ 100 cheaper then everyone else. They wrote me an invoice for $ 225 hook up fee but when I told them I was quoted $ 195 they called HQ and got it all straightened out. I tipped my driver $ 40 cause he ended up doing a lot more work then expected. They have a HUGE MONSTER SIZE TRUCK! The largest one in MD probably.

My car broke down in the parking lot of my job. I’ve heard horror stories about having your vehicle towed so I hopped on Unilocal to see if I could find a place people actually liked. I called Morton’s and asked for a tow – I gave the lady my address and the address of where it needed to be towed. About 40 minutes later the tow truck driver came (who’s name I forgot unfortunately) to take my vehicle away. He was very friendly and incredibly helpful – plus quick too! He even told me what was wrong with my vehicle. The price was reasonable at $ 75 for hook-​up and $ 3 per mile. Overall I was really pleased with the great customer service of this towing company and I plan to use them again in the future (although here’s hoping I don’t have any more broken cars!).

Chose Morton’s based on their high Unilocal reviews. Very satisfied. Tom came by and replaced my flat tire with the spare. Worked in the drizzling rain. And when I came out to pay, he told he to sit in the car so I wouldn’t get wet while he filled out the paperwork. Cost to replace was $ 65, I have no idea if that’s good or bad (I think it’s standard?), but I was happy with the efficiency and personable service!
