Alexandria’s Formal Dress Rentals

As a Bride to be I can honestly say that my experience here was as close to perfect as I could imagine. I went for my final fitting yesterday and the Owner couldn’t have made me feel more beautiful and pleased if she tried. I’m a plus size Girl and the selection was great and my dress is SO amazing. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for that dress for your special day or just for a formal event dress. Thank you thank you thank you is all I can say!

Sister tried calling and calling and calling to check out dresses for her wedding and they never picked up and never returned them. Bummer

I was very disheartened with my visit to the store. Customer service was terrible & I was very disappointed in the selection that they had.
Per all the websites & other search engines in regards to Alexandria’s Gown Rentals, they have variety of dresses to rent from but that is not the case.
I was only given a small section to choose from & it wasn’t very many choices. Also I was told that dress are only for sale not rentals. So, all the adds are
deceiving to potential customers. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME GOING THERE

I am a repeat customer ebcause MY pros out way MY cons.
PROS
1. Nice Selection– even for hard to find sizes (plus to petite)
2. Pricing-​heck for $ 75 out the door we were done and no guilt when the credit card bill comes in next month for a dres that will never be worn again.
3. They will not rent the same dress to another girl attending the same event.
CONS
1. Customer service is… poor to ok… While in the shop they bring you dress upon dress upon dress. but treat you like a queen??? Uhhh no. Maybe if you are renting wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses but girls renting ball gowns dont get the royal treatment.
2. Quite often time delay in returning calls andemails, though this has inproved over the 5 years we have been going there.
3. And finally, my biggest beef of all. THE SHOP IS TOO FREAKING SMALL! Too tiny to hold thousands of dresses, plus girls trying on dresses, plus extras helping pick out dresses. MOVE ALREADY!!!
4. Oh and one more thing, they do not let you take photos of yourself in the dress unless you paid for the rental. I am sure thats so you dont waste their time but I sent my 2 daughters in to pick dresses while I was at work one day and nt only would they not hold the dresses the girls could not send me photos to share my opinion. That year we did not rent from Alexandria’s.
Over I love the concept but in a effort to keep their overhead down the shop is too small and there is sooo much more they could do with the concept. I am writing this review based on my last visit a year ago when they were in 2 tiny storefrotns in old roseville. My review might increase a star and a half if they have grown in square footage. Gues we’ll see this week at our appointment.

Great concept, but horrible customer service and response time!!! I had a bridesmaid coming in from out of town for a day to shop for dresses. She wasn’t planning on coming back until the wedding, but said if we couldn’t get an appointment here to just let her know and she would wait a few days to come down. I left a message on the companies phone number on Monday morning stating that I had an out of town bridesmaid coming in and needed to find out asap if I could get an appointment for that Wednesday afternoon and if I couldn’t that was fine, but needed someone to let me know asap so I could call my bridesmaid to have her wait to come down. Tuesday morning comes and no call, so I emailed them asking the same thing, please just give me a quick call or email or something to let me know if I can or cannot get an appt Wednesday. Well, here comes Wednesday and no call so I had my bridesmaid come down anyway because we had to get this done and couldn’t afford to wait and see if they call me back. So we went to Davids Bridal and bought dresses. Not my first choice, but we got it done. I was really shocked to get a call on Friday evening asking if I was ready to set my appt for Wednesday. HELLO!!! If I someone would have just called or emailed me back within 48 hours of my first message and told me they couldn’t do it until next Wednesday, there might have been a chance we might have used them, but since it took over 4 days just to get a response, it wasn’t worth using them. I mean, if it took this long to get a initial response to an inquiry than how do I know they will be able to get the dresses on time? It’s disappointing because a friend of mine used them for her son’s wedding and I was looking forward to working with them, but over 4 days to return a prospective clients call is a complete turn off. If you’re that busy, hire more help!

LOVED this place– from the moment I walked in I was treated like a queen. HUGE selection and the rental prices are amazing. They helped me pick out some things I never thought I would consider– all included in 1 price! Alterations were very reasonable and the service was attentive & extremely detailed.
These people really care about what they are doing and thats rare in these times. I rented a gorgeous dress, veil, shawl, petticoat, bustier, shoes, jewelry and cleaning all for $ 269! My dress is stunning and was one of many amazing dresses. If you go to them you really, really wont go wrong.

Brides, don’t do it!
I haven’t even stepped into the establishment and the associate was already giving me a hard time over the phone.
Very rude, very unprofessional.
