The Bridal Box

I had such a wonderful experience here this afternoon! This was the 4^th bridal shop I’ve visited in town, and it was hands down my favorite. It’s small and intimate with good lighting. The customer service was great. Sammie helped me and she was amazing. She pulled so many dresses that were just my style. She really listened me and helped me find «the one». She took her time and worked very hard to get everything on me and looking good. I really feel like I got a good idea of what every dress I tried on would look like in my size (I’m around a size 10, samples seemed to range from 8 – 12 there, at least on the dresses I liked). I never felt rushed. I cried when I tried on the one. She was great about letting me wear it around for a while. Then I tried on more, then I tried «the one» back on. She was so patient. I recommend making an appointment and going when it is not busy. It was so nice to practically have the place to ourselves. Leave the giant entourage at home, it’s a small shop.

So our experience here from start to finish was just ok. It seemed as though we were always being rushed with exception of the first time I came in just looking to try on dresses (I found the dress that day that’s why we came back.) when j placed the order they recommended a much larger size even though I had explained to them I was loosing weight still. They were pretty persistent in ordering the larger size. When I tried it on it was sooo big I could pull it off even with it being cinched up. I had to hold back the tears!!! The dress I loved sooo much now does nothing for me. I now have to spend 500 plus dollars on alterations and hope I still love it after that because as of now it makes me feel horrible! I now wished I had gone to other places than just this.

Very cute shop. I went here with my best friend she found a beautiful wedding dress and they worked with her budget and give an amazing discount. The dressing rooms could be bigger with more 360 mirrors but I understand it is a converted vintage home so space is limited. Overall great family owned shop.

This place was so cute, I loved the location. The associate was very kind and helpful. They have some selection of dresses but more can be ordered. I didn’t find my dress here but it was a good experience.

This shop never placed my original bridesmaid dress order! Beware!
Where do I begin. As a former bride I wanted to get a jump start on selecting my bridesmaids dresses. I got married 9÷12÷15 and ordered my bridesmaid dresses around Feb/​March from this store.
Let’s start with my first visit to the shop with three of my bridesmaids. We get to the shop and they were disheveled to begin with. We waited for about 15 minutes for someone to help us. We pulled our own dress and were waiting in the fitting room for someone to come in and measure the girls, finally someone did. Upon placing the order the woman kept mixing up the girls names with their measurements (not want you want to see). After we ordered their three dresses we told them that two of the other girls would be sending in their measurements within the month.
Fast forward to a month later all the dresses were ordered (so we thought). Meanwhile one of my bridesmaids called back once all of the dresses were ordered and asked for a conformation number. She was told that they would be ready sometime in July. Upon asking for a conformation number the person she was speaking with said (I’m paraphrasing here), «We won’t be able to give you a conformation number because we can’t give everyone a conformation number that places an order with us.» Mind you I never was give any sort of tracking number or anything as the bride so none of us got anything in terms of a tracking/​conformation number from them.
July rolls by and no call from Bridal Box and no dresses. By now each of the bridesmaids have been calling seperatly to check on the status of the order. No update, no update, it’s on it’s way was their response. Finally, one of my bridesmaids called on 7÷22÷2015 and said that I am going to call you everyday until I get a conformation date on when the dresses will arrive. The next day I get a call from Bridal Box telling me my order was NEVER PLACED way back in Feb/​March and that, «We are so sorry, this has never happened.» But we can expedite shipping and rush the order and have the dresses in the store by September 4^th (mind you I was getting married ⁹⁄₁₂). That would mean that all of my girls would have to get their dresses and rush to get their dresses altered if the could get them in to a seamstress in such short notice.
After venting to the lady on the phone she said we will try to get you the dresses sooner but can’t guarantee that they will get here sooner so the 4^th is the best we can do for you. When I asked what happened she said that the order was never sent to Bill Levkoff. So when I asked why this was not found out one of the other 10 or so times the girls called asking about the dresses she said no on «opened» up the order to see that there was no conformation number from Bill Levkoff showing that they received the order!
Later, I asked what could be done for my bridesmaids in terms of a discount, they said they could not possibly give me a discount on top of paying the order rush fees and shipping fees. I also asked to be contacted weekly for an update (even if the status did not change), I was told they would and I did not. I got called once but only when they had something to update me with.
I did get my dresses earlier than they expected. But there were so many issues with two of the dress that had we not gotten them earlier two of the girls would NOT have had dresses.
In the end I got the dresses but The Bridal Box’s customer service could have been a lot better (seeing as they clearly made a HUGE mistake). I am in the customer service industry so I understand that mistakes happen but the lack of ownership was appalling. I just wanted to take the time to write this so that future customers know that there is a CLEAR flaw in their system and how they handle things. Stay on top of your orders with this store and make sure you ask for a tracking number!!!

My mother, MOHs, and bridesmaid had appointment with the Bridal Box. We had already gone to another bridal shop (which was a disaster) so was kind of disappointed. The moment we walked into the BB we were welcomed with 2 wonderful employees. They were down to earth, listened to what I actually liked, and made myself and girls feel comfortable to made the whole experience fun. There was one particular Maggie Sottero gown I wanted to try on and they were unable to get it from MS, BUT they had one of their own brides who was willing to ship her very own wedding dress for me to try it. IT WAS LIKE IT WAS MEANT TO BE! The moment I put the dress on, I knew it was my dress. I could not believe above and beyond they went. They also gave my girls a great deal on their dresses since I purchased with them. I cannot wait to do further work with them. I highly suggest this boutique. Great things come in small packages. =)
PS I am not a girlie girl in the aspect of «dreaming of my wedding since I was a little girl.» My mother owned a bridal shop and I still wasn’t this way, but these girls made me feel this way. It totally got me excited =)

Sami (sorry if I spelled your name wrong) was incredible. I walked into the store having never been there before as well as just starting out my quest for a wedding dress of my own. Hesitant to try anything on, she asked the styles of dresses I liked and was looking for. She immediately pulled out a dress that they recently received into the store and was being discontinued. I tried it on (my very first wedding dress try-​on ever) and I fell in love with the beading and unique-​ness of the dress. It was elegant and simple, yet stylish, fancy and stunning. Everything I wanted and more. Plus the matching veil of course topped it off.
I recommend The Bridal Box to anyone and everyone starting out their journey. It may not be a very big store, it’s more of a boutique, but it will be worth it as well as you will find very unique dresses for you! THANK YOU, SAMI!!! :)

Bridal box is located in a cute little blue house. I was assisted by a very accommodating lady named Christine. She had such friendly, chill, vibe. The dresses are already set at pretty great prices, but she still offered deals on top of them. The dressing room doesn’t have the best space or lighting for photos, and there isn’t much space for your people to sit, but it still worked out. :)

Best dress selections and best service in town! Christine, the owner of the store, is amazing! She didn’t feel like a pushy sales person trying to sell me stuff at all. She felt more like a close girlfriend. She was friendly, gave great advice and suggestions, and was extremely patient and helpful with my indecisiveness. She helped me feel less clueless and overwhelmed, which is huge during this wedding planning time when there are so many decisions to be made. I stopped by so many bridal dress shops and tried on sooo many dresses, but I mostly loved the dresses I tried on here. Lots of various styles to choose from, very fashionable and not dated. They’ve got practically everything you want and need, even things you didn’t know to think of. When you come here, you really won’t need to check anywhere else; they should be called «The One Stop Bridal Box.»

They will order you a dress that is way too big for you. I traveled all the way from Chico (1.5 hour trip each way) to order my dress and get measured. And then I did it again to pick up the dress. They had ordered me a size 8 dress. I’m 5 feet tall and 115 pounds. I didn’t realize how big it was until I was back in Chico at the alteration place a month after I’d picked it up. My tailor who is super honest and very talented, told me I should have got a size 4 or 6 at the most and that the alterations on the size 8 dress would cost $ 100 or more. She would have had to take 4 inches off the waist, and completely re work the shoulder (it was a one shoulder dress) because it was way too wide and saggy. It also needed to be hemmed at the bottom but that’s to be expected because it’s a full length dress and I’m so short. Anyway my tailor told me to call them and see if they could help me by ordering a smaller size. I still had enough time before the wedding. I called them and spoke to someone who basically made a bunch of excuses: 1. «Well a lot of times, bridesmaids don’t tell us that they’re planning on losing a lot of weight between when they get measured and the wedding.» NO I didn’t lose any weight. 2. «If you ordered the dress online sometimes the measurements are off…» NO I went into your shop and your people measured me right there. 3. «Well after a month all of our receipts get filed in a storage unit so it would take a while to dig through them and find your order information.» NO not my problem. Basically after all these shitty excuses she told me that she couldn’t even do anything or make any suggestions or decisions because she wasn’t a manager. She took my phone number and told me that I’d hear back from someone by 3pm that day (I called at 11am). The day passes without a word. Then the next day I thought maybe they’d call me when they opened. By 1:30pm the next day I was sick of waiting so I called again. This time it was a manager who was nice but also not able to help me. I felt extremely frustrated and like I got royally screwed by them. She said my waist measurement (28) was what pushed me out to a size 8. I’m sorry but no woman in their right mind would look at me and say I was anywhere close to an 8. I should have gotten a size 4 or 6. Now I’m stuck paying a lot of money for alterations and a bad taste in my mouth. They are not honest and will try to get as much money out of you as possible.
Whatever size they recommend, go at least a size lower. I will never return here and will never recommend it to anyone.

The Bridal Box is simply amazing!!! Sammy, especially, was awesome and helped me pick out the perfect gown! She even helped me save money on it by telling me about a promotion they had the following week and to wait until then to buy it!!! I couldn’t be happier with my dress; I got compliments on it (and the veil/​accessories I got at the store) ALL night. If you want a dress that looks like you broke the bank (but didn’t) and a dress that you and your guests will remember for a lifetime, then come here!

Bad customer service!

This shop is the best bridal shop I have been to! I have been to several bridal shops and almost considered shopping online (do yourself a favor and do not shop online for a wedding dress!)
I found the dress I had been looking for at this shop. The perfect dress that I had in mind for my wedding. The price was great, the dress is perfect!
The staff at this shop are phenomenal! They were very attentive. Excited with me. They listened to what I wanted and showed me some amazing dresses!
I also found some dresses for my girls (soon to be daughters!!)
This shop is awesome!

This place is trashy. I felt like I was in Spencer’s! I was in the store for over 20 minutes before I even saw an employee and she didn’t even acknowledged I was there. The bridal box will not be getting my business. Their website says they take walk ins but don’t bother.

I can’t say enough nice things about these gals and their lovely shop! Not only do they greet u with a warm smile, have lovely dresses AWESOME sales… They have an actual store full of the goodies for my wedding saving me shipping costs and are the same price as amazon! Thank you for the wonderful customer service :)

Wouldn’t recommend this place to others, it doesn’t seem like the people really know what they are doing. We got our bridesmaids dresses from here and got the sizes the lady said to get some even were told they needed plus sizes so they had to pay extra and everyones dress is way too big for them. Only one person in the bridal party got the right size and thats because she fought with them on the size. She was the one trying on the sample they had, which fit her PERFECTLY, and they were telling her based off her measurements she needed a dress that was 3 sizes bigger than the one she was actually trying on! You would think they would think they would be better at knowing sizes, so unless you want to pay more in alterations than the dress cost don’t go here.

I will never recommend anyone go here for bridesmaid dresses. Every girl in the bridal party ordered their dresses according to what the lady recommended or got it one size smaller. Upon receiving the dresses for the whole bridal party, we all noticed they were huge! Now, we are stuck each paying over $ 100 in alterations.
One of two things could have happened, when we reached out to the owner to explain our situation she could have been more willing to help (customer satisfaction) and make it right or the person taking the measurements did not know what she was doing (not our fault).
It has been a very frustrating experience dealing with this mess. We thought we were doing the right thing by ordering our dresses according to what the lady recommended just to find out it is actually two sizes bigger for every single one of us.
So ladies, please seriously reconsider coming here when looking for your perfect bridesmaid dresses.

Bridal box is located in a cute small house and their décor inside is very girly and cute as well. My MOH and I went here on our second stop of the day and it was pouring rain outside. When we first entered, it took a bit for the worker to greet us because she was on the phone.
They mainly have all Maggie Sottero dresses. I already of knew what kind of dress i wanted already but i just looked through the rest of the dresses anyways. I stumbled upon a really gorgeous dress that i knew i couldn’t afford but i wanted to try something on since i was already there. It was such a elegant beautiful dress that i didn’t think i would want. The only thing that stopped me from saying yes to the dress was the price tag. Christine really tried to work with me to work out other promos to help offset the price. I really appreciated her helping me try to get this dress. I told her that i would come back if i decided to get this dress or the other one that i already had my heart set on.
I ended up getting the dress at my third stop because i was already there for a trunk show and i didn’t want to drive back to bridal box in the heavy pouring rain. Even though, the dress was the same price. i did wish that i ordered the dress at bridal box just because they were so helpful to me over the phone prior to my visit and during. Even though i didn’t get my dress here, i would highly recommend them because they offer great customer service and great selection of maggie sottero dresses.
They also have a website online that lists the actual prices of the dress. I really liked that. They didn’t have anything to hide in their prices. Very honest company. I really wished i gave them my business that day. One of my regrets so far in wedding planning.

Bridal Box has the best prices BY FAR than any other retailer & do not charge shipping if you order in store and pick them all up in store. The ladies at Bridal Box were helpful & fast at responding to my questions via email or in person. I received the dresses on a timely basis as well.
PLEASE NOTE: all sales are FINAL — no exchanging/​returning… if the dress doesn’t fit when you get it, oh well, if the wrong dress was ordered, oh well. You signed the receipt so its on you… atleast that’s what happened to me. So my advice: TRIPLE CHECK the Style#s of ALL the dresses on the FINAL receipt order (don’t assume the store rep will) & get sized somewhere else before coming here to order/​pay so you know for sure you are ordering the right size. Also always always get a copy of the whole Order form & have it with you when you pick up the dresses.
I only say this on my review because my maid of honor’s BM dress was ordered incorrectly (wrong style#) than the other Bridesmaid dresses & it was the store’s fault. All the dresses were supposed to be the same style# and the rep I discussed this with wrote all of the style#‘s on an order form when I came in. The very next day my maid of honor came in by herself to pay & get sized for her dress. A different rep used an old order form from one of my previous visits (I kept going back & forth with style#s on my prior visits). Therefore the rep used the old style# listed on the old form. When I was told no exchanges it was upsetting.
Also, all 3 BM dresses (Bill Levkoff Style#163) that I ordered are sewn wrong & needing to be altered so there goes the cost savings on the dresses! When I say sewn wrong, I am not saying sized wrong– I am saying whoever did the sewing/​hemming @ Bill Levkoff completely screwed up causing all 3 dresses not to zip up completely, bow out on the bust area, & the underskirt’s hem is diagonal instead of vertical! I don’t blame Bridal Box for this– just annoying that they can’t be exchanged and alterations cost destroys any savings.

I finally found a dress for my bridesmaids! woot woot! Thank God my MOH (Tram T.) and another bridesmaid (Amy B.) were so adamant about finding an affordable well made dress! They definitely helped the process move forward. They even made the appointment and cleared a Saturday just to get the whole thing over with. I just tagged along :) Not gonna lie, I have the BEST group of females by my side! Pretty sure the rest of the group will be happy with the decision (at least I hope so!).
My only requirements were that the dress have a sweet heart neckline, chiffon fabric, long dress, in the color Horizon (or any bright blue), preferably in the Bill Levkoff collection. Apparently, that was hard to find. Most bridal shops only carried 2 Bill Levkoff designs in chiffon and not many options with long dresses. I ALMOST settled on a dress at House of Fashion, but I couldn’t pull the trigger because 1. For such a simple design, I didn’t think it was worth the price 2. I wasn’t in love with it. I know it’s hard to make all your girls happy, but I wanted to try my darnedest to make sure they felt comfortable with price and dress choice.
This place had a really good collection of dresses for bridesmaids. At first I was a little hesitant as I walked up to what looked like someones house. I was pleasantly surprised with the collection they did have and the little chic boutique. Customer service was great. Since we were the only customers in at that time, we had all hands on deck. They pulled dresses with my specifications and my gfs took turns trying them on. It took a couple of dresses, but I can finally say I’m happy with the choice I made. I thought I’d never find a dress!
Also, this place has other things at reasonable prices. For example, bridal belts/​sash. The one that I wanted at La Soie was going for over $ 500, but this place carries them for less than $ 150!!! They are definitely the most affordable boutique I’ve been to thus far!
