Arezzo Lighting

Came in on a Saturday despite the bad reviews due to the wife wanted to check it out. We bought a few items and we were very pleased with the service and the prices. I would recommend coming in and giving them a try.

The Husband and I have stopped by Arezzo Lighting a couple times now while looking for a light to go on the front of our house as well as one above our dining room table. We were unimpressed with what we saw at the big box stores, so we came here because his Dad really likes the store and recommended it to us.
The first time we came looking for a light for the front of our house we were very unimpressed. The store is PACKED with stuff. Lighting, flooring, appliances, mirrors, décor, etc. so it’s really hard to walk around and look at everything. Don’t come in here with a large purse or small children! We walked around the store for a bit with no one saying anything to us or trying to help, so we just left.
The second time we came we decided to give them another try while looking for a light for above our dining room table. They had quite a few options but nothing really that we were looking for, but this time we were helped by a very nice employee (I think the owners son?) who pulled out a few special order lighting books for us to look at. We found a few styles in the books that we liked, but at $ 600 – 800 for a light, we weren’t really feeling like making a serious investment on the thing, so we left.
The store is hit or miss but I will give them the benefit of the doubt. We may be back if we decide to redo our lighting fixtures down the road with something nicer.

I went in there looking for a large foyer light (an expensive item). Upon entering the store, I was greeted with a «Hello» then went wandering through the cluttered store. I will say they do have quite the inventory/​selection, but everything is so crammed in there it doesn’t show well. Another thing I notice was that though there were so much inventory, what inventory there was didn’t seem to reflect the current styles.
As for the customer service, well beyond a hello I never received any assistance nor was I approached in the 30+ minutes I was circling the store. I did however notice a man who worked there sitting on a stool near the front door just staring into space.

I stopped by two days ago and looked for possible lighting for a very tricky room that had existing lighting that is casting a shadow — not good. Arezzo was recommended by an acquaintance Dennis. Having lived and worked in Roseville for 25 years, I was surprised that I did not know of this place. Of course the first thing that I did was Unilocal the reviews… not good but I thought if I could look past the customer service and found the right light then it would be all worth it. After all, I have driven all over town and search everything on the world wide web.
Headed home from work, not long before they were to close, I walked in for a quick look. I was greeted with a smile and welcome immediately and asked if I was looking for something special. Since I did not know, I said not really just looking. I am pretty sure my eyes were huge and the expression on my face was «is this place for real»…there are so many fixtures that it is exciting but can be overwhelming when you are dealing with the time constraint that I am needed this done yesterday.
Mike was kind enough to listen to my needs and showed me some ideas and suggestions. Still overwhelmed, I knew that I needed a red lamp shade — another thing that we have hit every store for and of course he had it. I bought that and left.
The next day we went to Home Depot, Lowes, Lamps Plus, looked online at IKEA selections but before driving there I reminded my husband that he needs to see Arezzo Lighting first so he said ok lets stop there real fast as we have to get to Ikea.
Once again we were greeted upon walking in. We were asked what are needs were, what is our budget was and then suggestions were made. We ended up staying within our budget getting much more than we were expecting to get. Very impressed with customer service, the selection is unreal and the prices are comparable. For us, it is nice to know we have a one-​stop shopping for lighting needs. Give them a try, you wont be disappointment.

A year ago I would have given this store a 5 star rating. I bought some really awesome lamps there and was stunned by their selection of unique lamps you don’t see anywhere else. I came in a few weeks ago with a friend, raving to her about the unique lamps she could find here. I was so disappointed to find the novelty lamps all gone. I asked a clerk about it and he gave me a lukewarm reply that the owner had opened another store and he might get around someday to ordering more novelty lamps. I will go back one more time, only to see if what I was told was accurate.

We have done business with Arezzo before and we knew going back to them was a no-​brainer. Great customer service! Kasra is very knowledgeable and spent extra time giving us options on our new ceiling fan. We will definitely continue to do business with them. Angie and Mike Roy

So, I already posted a review five weeks ago and guess what… I’m still waiting for my order, which was paid for August 4^th. The store actually let me know they had my order at one point without my calling and being told it will be there next week, every week, so I went in and it was the wrong color. I was made to believe it was MY mistake. Checked receipt which had been faxed to the guy in charge of flooring and it was the CORRECT color. Sooo it was ordered again. Well after checking every week and no news, I finally spoke with Moe last week. He proceeded to blame another employee for ordering the wrong color, argued with me about the whole thing, said it was difficult to get this piece and do I want a refund, etc etc, and THEN said he’d call this distributor and order it! WTH! Eight weeks later and we’re at square one again — for the third time? Why the weekly lies that it will be here next week? This is all for one piece of reducer molding for my floor that Moe incorrectly measured to begin with (oh but he did OVER measure the rest of my floor with two full boxes on my hands). So, today I went to lumber liquidators to find a close match. $ 21 vs $ 61.81 that Moe charged me! I am headed there tomorrow but oh guess what — can’t check their hours on the Internet because their account has been suspended! Did I mention all the glue they left on my floor after the install???

This place has a lot of lighting but I customer service is not the best and has stopped me from going back. After telling them what I was looking for I was finally told you don’t know what you are looking for and to find it on the internet bring it in and then then would check with their suppliers about purchasing. Well if I found it on the Internet I’d most like purchase on the Internet.

I found Arezzo on my phone not knowing what a magical place i would be walking into. Not only are the staff very friendly and knowledgeable, but the store itself is like a wonderland of beautiful lighting, from chandeliers to floor lamps to the «shade room» where there are many many choices of shades and accessories for lighting. Amanda and Michael helped me when I came back having purchased the wrong fittings for my lamp on my first visit. As Michael had suggested, I brought my floor lamp in for help. Amanda assisted me in finding the right glass fixture for what I found out is an
ANTIQUE brass floor lamp. I had asked about cleaning it and had been advised not to because of its age and valuable patina. Overall, a satisfied customer who was able to revive a fairly unattractive torch shaped lamp and bring out its beauty. Thanks Arezzo Lighting!

There isn ‘t much question about the quantity of various lighting fixtures found here. It’s really overwhelming.
But the reviewers who are complaining about customer service have some valid concerns in my view, based on my experience here.
In late January 2015 I responded to a newspaper ad for LED bulbs at a very competitive price. I saw these bulbs being sold to other customers, but was told that a new shipment would arrive in «about a week». I ordered and paid for 12 bulbs. I was given a specific date to return to pick them up.
When I returned a few days after the promised date, I was told that the shipment had not yet arrived and was given another date to return in the future.
This time I called first. No bulbs had arrived but they gave me yet another date.
Long story short, I finally gave up and asked for my money back in early May, almost 5 months after my original order. At first they said I had to appear in person to process a refund. At this point I insisted that other businesses under these circumstances would give me a refund to my credit card based on a telephone call. They finally agreed.
Just recently (June 2015) another newspaper ad for the bulbs I attempted to buy appeared, but this time at a significantly higher price than advertised in January. It appears that the bulbs are available, but Arezzo didn’t want to honor the original deal I made in January.
Potential customers should read carefully the other unfavorable reviews about Arezzo. Their «explanations» about why they take orders for merchandise they do not have and have no idea about availability from the factory are really «excuses» for taking your money in some cases without a reasonable expectation of being able to fulfill the order.
If the item is not in stock at this store, be aware that you may be paying for an order that may never be delivered.

HORRIBLE. AVOID ordering anything from them. they never have anything you want, tons of inventory but all useless. nothing comes in sets. we bought some can lights from them for $ 200 turned out they didn’t fit. customer policy is only store credit after 3 days. first the lights were way over priced and we found better nicer ones for half the price in the right size. so we were stuck with store credit. we waited about a month and decided to go use the credit to get bedside lamps. after a few hours we had to order them because nothing they had matched. it took 3 months and over 15 phone calls of ‘u mm it’s on backorder.’ ‘weird it didn’t come in, I don’t know what is happening’ over and over. so I pitched a fit and finally got my money back. the worst business! I bet they are a front for something shady. they have way too much useless inventory. I don’t know how they are in business!

very chaotic store! you can hardly move because it’s like a dump of ugly light fixtures from floor to ceiling! btw, please wear the most comfortable shoes! once you step in expect to be entertained after standing there for a while! also wear a mask because this store stinks like a dump odor! and most importantly be prepared for their unprofessional staff they do not know anything and they only want your money! Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this store! go to lamps plus instead

Their follow through and customer service is abysmal! Do not shop there!
My story…
I ordered lights from this store on 7÷21÷14. At the time I placed the order I had to pay in full for the lights. After I paid, when I asked estimated delivery date I was told the lights could take 2 — 4 weeks to be delivered to the store. This seemed like a long time, but I had paid so I let it go.
After 3 weeks I called the store and spoke with Moe. I gave him my invoice number and asked for someone to please check the status of my order. Moe wouldn’t do it at that time but told me to call back after 11:00. (He wanted me to simply accept his explanation of how they place order.) I called later that afternoon and spoke with Mark. He looked and said he didn’t see anything at all regarding the order to contact them after one more week. I called on Friday, August 22 and explained it had been one month asked that he please find out what was happening. He said he would check into it and call me back. He never called.
On Monday, August 25 I called and spoke with Michael. He said he didn’t see anything happening, but would check on the order and call me regardless if he was able to find anything out. He called about 2 hours later and stated that he had called the company and the order was backordered. When I asked why it had taken all this time for them to tell me he really didn’t have an answer other than the company doesn’t tell them. I requested that the order be cancelled. I was told the only way I could get my money back was to go into the store. (It was a 35 min drive for me!!)
When I arrived at the store I was greeted by Mark. He looked at the computer and said it had been on back order since July. I asked why I couldn’t have been told that earlier. His reply made no sense. Mark took my receipt and began to read through all of my notes from calls I had documented that I made to the store. He started to take it and I informed him that wanted it. He informed me that he had to have it and that he couldn’t see why I wanted it anyway. He ended up making a copy. I asked if there was some compensation for Arezzo Lighting having my $ 341 for almost 5 weeks. They offered nothing. I informed them that I would not be returning to this store and I would tell others not to do so.
My overall experience was very negative. They do not follow through, return calls, or obviously care much about customer service! Don’t go there!

Customers come last, and they are not worth $ 100. Given the cost of customer acquisition, you would think this is a simple matter. I love to give referrals, but in this case my advice is be careful.
I was quoted a week for two bathroom pendant lights on 7÷9÷14. The distributor let them down and it was not until the first week of August that they came, long after my project and labor was gone. Initially Arezzo agreed to install them for me since I was in a bind. Now, they want to charge me $ 50 a light when I already spent $ 700 with them.
I urged them to reconsider, stating that I have a large house with lots of lighting needs, I am a source of referrals, and that acquiring customers is expensive. Although I appreciated that their supplier let them down, I felt like it’s the retailers job to stand by the customer and do what is right.
But like so many businesses, they are thinking short term and want to charge the $ 100. My referrals, my repeat business and my positive Unilocal review are all apparently less valuable than installing two lights, which is a soft expense anyhow if they have the labor.
So I will be purchasing the rest of my lights elsewhere, and I am taking the time to share this story with all of you so you can decide if you want to work with Arezzo.

Great selection of all types of fixtures and furniture. Very professional staff that helped me make my house more stylish. I think her name was Alison, she was a sweetheart! I had so much brass in my house, and they helped me bring my style into this century! I would definitely recommend this place to a friend.

My husband and I decided to purchase hardwood flooring last month from this store.- we paid in full for the flooring and requested it arrive on the following Tuesday. The night before it was to arrive, Moe (the owner) called to say it did not ship on time but had left the facility in San Diego and would arrive only a day or two late. I called to follow up on Wednesday and was told by Moe that he should have information for me later that day or the next, I never heard from him. By Thursday afternoon we had still not heard anything, so our flooring guy said he would follow up (he called 4 times and was never called back). We had had all the floors prepped for a Tuesday delivery mind you and the house was torn up with slab floors. My husband then got involved and was finally able to get a return call from Moe– after much discussion about the delays and our dissatisfaction, Moe agreed to give my husband a $ 100.00 refund and somehow managed to get the flooring to his store Saturday afternoon so our flooring people could pick it up and finally start installing Monday-​while my husband is thereto pick up the flooring with the owner of the flooring installers we were using, he had to ask Moe about the refund and that was when Moe said, «I said I would refund you $ 100 if it didn’t come in until Monday, I will give you $ 50.00».(completely untrue)…he then rushes back into the store, comes back gives my husband the money and goes back inside. No apology, no thank you, no nothing.
Beware if you decide to buy anything from this business owner. Yes, you get a great price on the flooring he claims he sells tons of, but you get what you pay for, a thinner product. As well as having to deal with a shady business owner.

This store seems to have a large selection and the staff seemed very helpful. I had 2 major concerns;
1. They where going to charge me $ 10 per fluorescent light bulb which I went and bought at ACE for $ 3.35 a bulb.
2. When I asked if they would recycle my old fluorescent bulbs for me they told me it was not necessary to recycle fluorescent light bulbs but they would we happy to put them in the trash for me. I was concerned and asked the sales person that I thought it was required to recycle these bulbs because of the mercury. He just blew me off saying there is more mercury in a can of tuna fish.
I found out that All fluorescent lamps and tubes are considered hazardous waste in California when they are discarded because they contain mercury. (Title 22, division 4.5, chapter 11, section 66 261.50)
All fluorescent lamps and tubes must be recycled, or taken to a household hazardous waste disposal facility, a universal waste handler (e.g., storage facility or broker), or an authorized recycling facility. (Title 22, division 4.5, chapter 23, section 66 273.8) (The law requiring that fluorescent lamps be recycled or taken to a household hazardous waste disposal facility, a universal waste handler, or an authorized recycling facility has been in effect since February 9, 2006.)
Very concerning that a store specials in lighting would not know this or seem to care. I bought my lighting needs at ACE and took my bulbs to the recycling center.

When I walked into Arezzo, I was overwhelmed by all the stuff! Floor to ceiling (literally) every inch of space is packed with stuff — lamps, stools, tables fixtures — stuff. I will say this right off the bat, leave your small kids and big purses at home and don’t make any quick movements while in this place or you’ll cause a hurricane. Once you get past the claustrophobic shock, you notice that there are some really cool lamps in there! Bathroom lights, chandeliers, table lamps even an adorable little turtle with a colored low lit shell. I really think my life would be better if I had that little guy in my life. hint hint to you know who. While they have tons of lights and stuff, nothing seems to be in any particular order. The staff seem to know where things are and are kinda helpful. I guess it’s like a kid with a messy room. He knows exactly what pile to look under for a pencil and he’s the only person who would ever find it. I think Arezzo is a bit on the expensive side and I really had a hard time with so much «stuff’ all around me. I felt like things were closing in on me. If you’re in the area, check it out, but to make a special trip to go here… Mehh.

Just went here shopping again… found two really unique lamp shades! Hate those plain boring white ones. One of the lamp shades was custom made and the customer didn’t pick it up, so their loss was my gain… I got it at an excellent price and I love it!
BTW: The the original owners used to be located in Roseville Square… and their store was called Designer Source. The store may have a different name and be at a different location… but the lampshades and other decorative home items are still super. This is my ‘go to first’ stop when shopping for our home… or for that unique wedding gift.

You HAVE to come here if you are looking for lights of any type. The place is PACKED with lights, lamps, fixtures… I think I even saw a kitchen sink. The employees are very helpful, but you may have to wait a minute or two to be assisted, as they are very busy, and there are usually many people there.
Be prepared to spend hours browsing, as there is so much to see.
I was looking online and at HD for a bathroom vanity light. They not only had a great selection, but I was able to swap out the glass for something cooler at no charge.
