I’ve been coming to this business for many years to have batteries replaced on my watches and have always been happy with their work. Fortunately, I haven’t had to have other types of repair on my watches, so can only comment on battery replacement and have never had a problem. Their prices are reasonable and the woman behind the counter is very friendly. If you’re looking for a good, reasonably priced watch repair store, I would recommend this business.

I recently had the crystal replaced on my Seiko, and asked them to investigate why the stopwatch minute hand didn’t reset to the correct orientation. I was told«3 to 4 days», but it took them 13 days to do the work requested. I received the watch back with a new, but chipped-around-the-edge crystal. Very poor workmanship. The minute AND second stopwatch hands were now off even worse than when I brought the watch in. To add additional insult to injury, I was told that it couldn’t be guaranteed that my watch was waterproof anymore. The employee stated«No watch repair company in the world would guarantee a watch is waterproof after a repair.». If that had been disclosed at check-in, as it should have been, I wouldn’t have had the work done. As a final insult, the dude tried to tell me that if you look in the manual, there’s a way to make the hands line up correctly. Liar! Then, when I presented a credit card for payment, he walked to the register and said«Our credit card machine is down». Apparently, they must have had people decline charges… go figure! They have a ghetto little ATM machine conveniently in the store that charges you $ 2.50 for a transaction. Then, your bank later charges you another fee for using their skank network. A wholly unsatisfactory experience at Moh’s shop. In summation, if you have an expensive watch you need ruined, and you want to have a taste of gutter-level customer service, then definitely go see Moh Salim at Alta Arden Watch Repair. I learned a very expensive lesson here.
