Contemporary DJ’s Photo Booths & Lighting

Jessica and her team were fantastic. We were able to customize a preferred playlist online on the company website. It was a lil tricky to navigate but once you get used to it it was helpful, including being able to request songs that weren’t already in their library. We got a package that included the photobooth (complete with attendant) and it was a total hit with our guests. Even the groom (who wasn’t a fan of the idea) had to admit that it was totally worth it! And our MC (Travis?) was awesome, really personable and classy, not at all cheesy or overbearing. He worked really well with our photographers, it was totally effortless for us as the bride and groom on the day. They did an amazing job!

Jessica & Tory of Contemporary DJs were an absolute pleasure to work with! Tory was a great emcee by keeping engaged with the guests, and also checking in with us regarding placement of the maid-​of-​honor/​best man speeches and bouquet/​garter toss. As a photographer, we usually have to to tell the emcee but he took the initiative to ask us first, which ensures great photographs for the bridge & groom and made our job easier. We highly recommend this vendor to any couple looking for someone to ensure the ambiance is kept upbeat and on-​track at your reception!!!

Contemporary DJ’s & Lighting (CDj&L) helped save my wedding and made it into a beautiful event! At the beginning of the wedding planning process, their design & up lighting services caught my eye, and knew they’d make my booked venue space with high ceilings look gorgeous. When I saw their great DJ/​music and MC reviews I knew I had to get them. booked them almost a year in advance! Then when that same venue canceled on me just 45 DAYS before my wedding day, I panicked and didn’t know how my new venue would look… and if their lighting could accommodate the new space. Fortunately I found 2 meeting rooms at the Sac Convention Center (SCC) available on my wedding date and CDj&L were more than happy to work with me to look at how they could adjust the lighting arrangements– even had a planning meeting with the SCC manager, wedding planner and myself to discuss where and how the lights would be in the new space. Fortunately my CDj&L service package included a customized monogram with our initials, auburn up lighting and design lights. I’m so glad I got that package– their lighting turned the drab, boring meeting room space into into a snazzy, beautiful venue! The planning process with them was easy too– Jessica responded promptly to emails, their on-​line tool for music request was awesome, sample music list to play for the bouquet toss/​garter toss and cake cutting– things I wouldn’t have even thought of, they already had available. They also did a customized music edit for the Bride & Father dance which was also a special memory for me to have at my wedding day. My wedding planner and the SCC venue manager also gave kudos to CDj&L’s professionalism and expertise! I highly recommend them! They were worth every penny! High quality service at its finest!

Wow! We used contemporary djs for our wedding. They provide up lighting and have top of the line dj equipment. Not to mention Jessica, Tory and everyone else on there team are Very professional and easy to work with. They think of everything you won’t think of for your big day. I would recommend them a million times.

If my husband and I could give more than five stars we would. We couldn’t have selected a better company for our DJ, MC, lighting and photo booth services. Jessica accompanied us throughout our whole journey as we selected our music, developed a timeline, and chose our lighting. In addition, she was extremely attentive to detail and treated us with kindness and warmth. Tory (MC) and Rob (DJ) were professional and engaging. They knew how to excite our crowd! Tory and Jessica are AMAZING! They DJ’d and set up the lighting for my best friends wedding and I was mad at myself for not having them do my wedding too. I’m a wedding photographer and I worked with the team of Contemporary DJ’s this last Saturday for the first time… and it was one of the best experiences I’ve had with a DJ in my career. So often DJ’s can be a little too cheesy, talk too much on the mic, unorganized and overall just take away from the flow of the reception. I was blown away at how organized and on point they were, as well as being super friendly and really easy to work with. They had a great balance of keeping the crowd entertained and the evening moving along, as well as starting an amazing dance party. I love that they have a team and it seems each person brings their own strengths to the table, so everything works flawlessly. I’ll definitely be recommending them to my couples in the future, and I can say for sure that you will not be disappointed if you choose them for your wedding!

Contemporary DJ’s helped make my wedding phenomenal; Jessica and Tory were such a HUGE help! From the planning to the end result, everything was seamless and they knew exactly what to do. They followed our timeline flawlessly and all the songs we requested were played at the perfect time. Out guests LOVED the photo booth, and it was one of the best set ups i have ever seen. The booth is large enough to fit a huge group, super simple to use, and it has fast, high quality print outs (without custom frame). With the stress that comes with planning a wedding contemporary DJ’s did a fantastic job managing the details and keeping us out of them.

Contemporary Dj’s provided the BEST photo booth experience for our guests and ourselves at our wedding! We’d definitely recommend their services to anyone who is searching for photo booth options.
We came across them when our best man recommended a Dj he had met. Once we got in touch with the Dj, Robert (Live and Direct Dj’s), we discovered through him that he was partnered up with options for the photo booth, lighting, and even videography! Talk about convenient!
Via Robert, who was such an amazing personality to meet, we were able to come in contact with the other vendors! And felt that since we were in the best of hands with our Dj, that we trusted his judgement in recommendations for the other vendors. Contemporary Dj’s photo booth services were fun, polite, and professional, and got us copies of our photo booth pics on flash drive to us very promptly. Absolutely AMAZING group of people. When my wedding coordinator told me that I would be in good hands with Contemporary DJ’s, she wasn’t kidding. Not only were they easy to contact and such a delight to work with, they made my wedding more beautiful than I can ever dream of. The uplighting and monogram was perfect! Hands down this company did a fantastic job at our 10 year wedding anniversary. They handled the background music and dinner announcements. I personally could not of found another company that could of been a better fit for us. They did everything we asked and more. They are very professional and were very well dressed dressed (most dj’s are not) which was great because this was an upscale celebration. Ceremony sound was amazing, smooth and clear, absolutely no hiccups which can happen with an outdoor ceremony. Troy had all of the guests on their feet dancing the night away during the reception. Contemporary DJ’s is AMAZING! We hired them to DJ my in-​laws 40^th anniversary party and they did the lighting as well. I was concerned that the genre of music would be appropriate for the occasion, and they totally tailored it to my in-​laws taste! Tory is great at keeping the party moving and Jessica takes care of all of the details. What more could you want!

This company is AWESOME! Jessica and Tory made my wedding not only run smoothly but they made the party a hit! The DJ service as well as the photobooth was spectacular. I got so many compliments on them. Getting details in order was a breeze, communication was great and they traveled all the way from Sacramento to Tahoe for my day. One of the most important and most memorable details about a wedding is the music. Contemporary DJs turned it up for my wedding reception! My guests danced until the very last second of the night. (Literally, we danced until last call). My crew knows how to party, but I was very specific about keeping the music dignified and clean. Contemporary DJs listened to my wishes and made sure of that. I had up lighting at my venue at it was fabulous. It changed the look completely.
We also worked with them as our mc, and our introduction was so perfect. It set the tone for our wedding reception! Ask about a custom introduction that fits your personality and I’m sure Tory will work something up for you ;)
