Cash only!!! Bun rieu– I would recommend. It can be a bit sweet but once I put in a bit of lime and Sriracha it was perfect. Mix Spring rolls-this is a must try. The peanut sauce is uhhamazing. Get it to go if you’re too full. Green Coconut waffle– made fresh daily. Just asked the cashier and she can make it on the spot! Definitely come hungry because the food is filling! $ 6 on average per meal is such a steal!

Their vegetarian Phở(bun bo) is quite delicious, broth is very light and tasty. Their fried mushroom tofu and fried lemongrass tofu are sooo yummy! If you like a lot of ginger in the syrup, you will love their soft tofu/tofu pudding. Their sweetened tofu drink is very light and not very sweet which I enjoyed. Very friendly service.

My husband and I love this place. It’s a always go to during lent season, but if it isn’t we still come here. When you’re done with your meal here your stomach feels light and not full instead of feeling heavy and slumped. I always get the Banh kep here which is Vietnamese pandan waffle! It never disappoints.

My favorite Asian vegetarian restaurant ever. Don’t expect anything fancy, a small restaurant with friendly and kind people. While I was eating people kept coming for take out!

The Bun Bo Hue is DELICIOUS! My cousin and I make this a regular lunch place when we visit this area from Folsom. Compared to other vegetarian noodle soup places in the Bay Area, this place has the best soup base. Also, $ 6 for a bowl of noodle soup is an incredible good price. Another plus for me, I don’t taste any MSG, the soup is perfect!

I tried the Bun Bo Hue and it’s probably the best I’ve ever had. The broth was sooooooo tasty and exactly how I like my BBH. It’s just perfect. It’s on the sweeter side with a hint of spice. I also like how they are vegetarian. The place is pretty small, great for a quick lunch or snack. They offer some goodies in the middle, like any Viet restaurant. This is definitely my go-to place for BBH now when I’m in the Stockton Blvd area.

im not vegetarian although i wish i was, either way this place had some bomb lemon grass tofu which rocks my world! Came in here for a quick pick me up, such as a little snackie, not sure if its good for you or not but it was good! I had gotten $ 2 worth of lemon grass flavor tofu and tore it up. Yes they do deep fried it, so its steaming hot when they hand it to you. The mushroom tofu is great as well where it has mushroom and vermicelli noodles mixed into the tofu. The inside is quiet and quite warm on a sunny day since they have no AC inside. They do have lots of food prepared in the steam table so you can just point and they charge you per lb and size. All the food in here is vegetarian or tofu. They even have phở noodle soups too. Overall i am a fan of this place for a quick snackie. Thanks for reading and lets Unilocal some more.

My friend and I came here for some vegetarian dish! I ordered hu tieu and mi and bun Rieu. Paid for everything, 5 min later the cashier came over and told me there’s no more hu tieu, so I ordered bun bo hue. Yummy, it turn out really good!! i I would definitely come back again for other vegatarian foods! Came on on Friday to order some vegatarian food, order 3 combo(chow mien, and 2 sides) very delicious. I will definitely come back again

Best deep fried tofu that I have ever had! It was so flavorful because of course it was hot and fresh when I got it, and they mixed minced herbs(looked like cilantro and basil) into the tofu prior to frying. So it is soooooo bomb!

FOOD Bun Rieu Chay: vermicelli noodle soup with 4 different types of tofu, tomatoes, carrots, and a white veggie I can’t pinpoint. This dish was okay. It doesn’t compare to the real thing. I liked trying the different types of tofu. I liked them all except one that had huge black peppers in it. 3⁄5 SERVICE Fast and fair. Your typical Vietnamese deli service. 3⁄5 FINALTHOUGHTS I would come back to try other dishes and maybe their combo plates.

They have good vegetarian dishes for a cheap price. I got the bun Bo hue(spicy beef noodle soup) and my mom got the bun mam(kind of like a fishy noodle soup). It’s only $ 6 a bowl and it’s pretty bug and filling! My noodle soup wasn’t spicy at all but overall pretty darn flavorful. The service is meh. Their English isn’t great and they kind of expect you to know what you want but they’re not really what I think would be considered rude.

I was so excited to try this place out because they were so friendly and i had been craving tofu pudding for days. Hubby swung by after a day o fun in Sacramento and for the $ 2.50 price tag i thought i was #winning. However it was just kinda blaaaah. I know i know i know tofu doesn’t really have a flavor it kinda takes on flavors/sauces that are added to it but i swear if you’ve had enough tofu it DOES have its own flavor. This wasn’t nearly as silky as i thought it should be nor as flavorful. Coming from San Jose, this place was just ok for me. BUT the price is hard to beat!

Decent Vietnamese vegetarian to-go food kind of place, but if you want to stop by and eat, there are tables and you can order noodle soups on the menu. There is enough variety but the only downside is that sometimes the fried tofu tastes like it was cooked in overused oil. Definitely not a very pleasant encounter when you just want to munch on fried tofu alone or eat it with white rice and soy sauce. Sometimes the food seems like it’s been out for a while too. With that said, I like that there is a variety of vegan food here. Most are cooked a little too salty but with plenty of white rice, the saltiness can be tamed. I recommend the curry and rice. I also like getting the fried banana and fried sesame flat cake(banh tieu) as snacks. There are other Asian snacks here too like Hello Panda, Yang Yang, Vietnamese sweet sticky rice cake, che, and even moon cakes when they are in season. I’m pretty sure it’s a family business because the people who work here just seem so down to earth and genuine about their work. The place does seem to be a little bit dirty and rundown but no diarrhea here yet so I’m coming back.

Not a huge fan of the Little Saigon in Sacramento, but we happened to stumble upon this place when craving pandan waffles and have been back several times since to grab other things. It’s a really small storefront with maybe 4 – 5 tables and some people dining in, but most go in and order stuff to go. Lots of variety, which is a plus for those eating vegetarian or vegan, but sadly most of the items are oily, which defeats the purpose, doesn’t it? None of it has ever looked aesthetically pleasing to me whatsoever, so have stuck to the safer items like waffles and pieces of tofu. Speaking of, they have several different varieties of the tofu. We’ve tried the mushroom and lemongrass versions and I wasn’t a fan of either, but the strong authentic Vietnamese flavors don’t really suit my palate. My girl and my parents both enjoy the tofu from here and Asian food is #1, #2 and #3 on their favorites lists, so their opinion may carry a little more weight. Only costs $ 1 for seven pieces, so not the end of the world if you want to give it a try and am not a fan like myself. I’m still alive.

Cool Tofu place… they have a lot of variety of tofu dishes that is ready to eat. Also, you can purchase fresh tofu for a good price. Even though I am not the biggest tofu fan, they have some types of tofu. The place is small yet pretty clean and they even had soup noodle dishes such as egg noodles in a tomato broth with tofu. I even asked the person who worked there what is in the egg noodle soup… and he simply said… tofu. Also, they are known for their pandan waffles which are made fresh… next time I will give it a try. They also have veggie Bun Bo Hue, which was okay but you cannot beat the original and plus… I love MEAT. This place is a cool pad to try even if you are not the biggest tofu fan.

I visited Huong Sen Tofu early in the morning last week. They were in the process of putting the hot food into their case, and didn’t have many options to choose from. I elected to get a bowl of their wonton noodle soup off the menu, some egg rolls, and a pandan waffle for dessert. The wonton noodle soup had a strange taste. I know the place is vegetarian, but both the broth and the wontons had a slightly sweet vegetative flavor almost like quinoa. The noodles tasted fine, as did the copious amounts of bok choy. The egg rolls were OK. Again, vegetarian I know, but they really didn’t have much flavor outside of being fried. The pandan waffle was the best tasting thing I purchased. The person at the counter had one already griddled up and just peeled it off the waffle iron when I ordered it. It wasn’t as crispy as I would have liked, but it had a nice flavor– think slightly underdone Belgian waffle heavy on the vanilla. Overall I would describe my experience as… Meh. Maybe I ordered the wrong things, I am not sure. I’ll probably give it another shot in the future.

I love this place! Prolly the only place I know to get some good vegetarian food. The food is pretty fresh and it’s delicious. I lalalalove the eggplant stir fry with tofu and veggies. It’s probably my favorite.

If you didn’t know how many ways you can cook something, this place has tofu like thirty different ways. maybe more. I don’t know but it’s impressive. Located in a plaza on Stockton near 65th. Lots of parking but oh my gosh, I hate driving in this area. They have pre-packaged foods, fresh soy milk, warm food in the case. It’s cheap. You can eat there, there’s maybe 5 booths. or take it to-go. I’ve had combos and the food is just lukewarm. It’s good but I wish it was a little bit warmer. Like, the rice from the rice cooker is hotter than the food that comes out of the case. And really, I don’t know what each item is in the case but if it looks good to me– I’ll just point or name some noticeable components in it and tell them that’s what I want. Then there’s the waffles… They have two flavors: Pandan and Durian. I prefer Pandan over Durian. It takes a minute to make and they give it to you in a brown bag. So, I like to have a combo and eat it there while they make me a waffle and maybe grab some prepackaged food or soy milk. I was gonna go with 3.5 stars but it’s so cheap that I can’t resist bumping up to 4. I’m in awe at what I can get out of $ 10 here. I look forward to trying everything else they have. namely the soups. It seems like a place where you would find hair in your food. you know. not stringent on cleanliness but so far so good. 4 stars good.

A hidden hole in da wall would describe this place quite well! At first glance it looks like an ordinary Vietnamese fast food joint. You may get overwhelmed by the amount of Vietnamese everyone is speaking– the lady behind the counter may even try to converse with you if you look Asian! Luckily the staff does speak some English and will happily assist you with what you would like. They offer various ethic pre-packaged foods– many in which I never even seen or heard of. So I decided to pick up their bamboo leaf warped«Che Chuoi» and Taro-potato-carrot in sauce!(Because anything with taro must be awesome, right??) In addition to their warmer and refrigerated section in the back, in the middle are hot foods. You can purchase them a la carte or do what I did and pick the $ 5 combo! With a mere $ 5 you can sample any two dishes and noodles and/or rice of your choice! I grew up eating my mom’s stuffed bitter melon and I have not had it for years! This place offers Vegan version of it(and many other delicious things) so I definitely added it to my plate. I do not regret any of our choices, when we got home– we tasted everything and everything was yummy, a bit salty, but yummy! Note to self: order extra rice. If your in the area and wish to try new and exotic food, than drop by here! There is something for everyone here! I agree with the other Unilocalers that this place is better for takeout unless if you do not mind the atmosphere :)
