She is very professional and also very attentive, very detailed. She’s a nice person with a kind heart. Very prompt to time. She planned my son’s party exactly the way I wanted. I will refer her to everyone that I know.

Teresa did a wonderful job planning the baby shower. She brought the Fire Truck theme to life, the games were very interactive and everyone had a great time.

I planned a Candyland theme party for my daughter’s first birthday party. first birthday is a milestone for Filipino families, I have to do this right. My husband and I have done the invites, the candies, the bookings (photographer, dj, catering, venue), giveaways… but somehow I cant put it all together. Thats when Theresa came in.
What I love about her is she listened to what WE NEED. I needed a floor plan, I needed a backdrop, I needed the set-​up of the candies I had been making. And since I cannot purchase anything on party city or ebay, I needed the decorations in 3D childsize.
Her work was amazing. The backdrops complimented the whole theme. As soon as guests arrived, they immediately know they’re in Candyland.
I have done so may parties and events like this takes time and money. Do it yourself and you will spend dollars on last-​minute purchases. Also, doing it yourself means panic time before (set-​up) and after the party (take down). For this event, for once, I was able to doll up, relax, entertained our guests and cleaned the venue at a decent time. Pictures are only good when there is something to take pictures of. Also, she was really great on time management (a push on us thus avoiding procrastination). We laid out all our props two weeks before. We put our finished and partially-​finished props the week before. We had a time line when to start the set-​up the day of.
Over The Top Events worked for us because we knew what we wanted. We paid for her creativity and vision, not for hosting the party. Dont expect her to do everything, nor her to be able to read your mind. You do your part, and she will do hers!

My gift (and surprise) on Valentine’s day was Teresa Dawson, the event planner. My beau and I had planned the «Great Gatsby’ theme for my birthday months prior, but with our hectic schedule, it was nearly impossible to get anything done. Months, weeks and days literally went by and before we knew it, my birthday was right around the corner. We met Teresa literally one week before the day of my party. (He found her through Unilocal,of course.)
We met at our home and since they had already spoken prior to the meeting, she came prepared with ideas for my theme. I was very particular in the main focus areas, such as the entrance for the photo wall and the kitchen area, since that’s where my cake was going to be. I really wanted that grand affair feel. Diamonds, pearls, feathers and all the shiny things. We also requested a champagne tower. Our placement for such things were a little off, but thanks to Teresa, she made suggestions on where these important pieces should actually go and we couldn’t be happier.
I had to fly out the very next morning for a business trip. I was gone for four days, which on my return, would’ve left me only three days to do the party had I continued do it on my own. During my absence, Teresa kept me updated with what was she was working on and she remained in constant contact with my guy to make sure I didn’t have anything to worry about. I’m not going to lie, I was a bit nervous but at the same time, extremely excited.
We also wanted to book two go-​go dancers but didn’t have much luck. I gave Teresa a call and she got right on it. We needed to book a photographer. She was on it. That’s how awesome she is.
Upon my return, we spoke a few more times going over the remaining details. The day prior to the party, I had came home later than expected and I walked in while Teresa was setting up. I was seriously in complete awe. She custom-​made our champagne tower. Diamonds and pearls were draping down the chandelier where my cake was going to be. Gold and silver platters everywhere. The photo wall had a station full of fun props. There was a gorgeous «sign-​in» station for my guests. Great Gatsby movie quotes along the counters. Glitz and glam all around. It was just beautiful! Oh, and that was not all.
The day of the party, everything started to come to life. Our rented standing tables were scattered throughout the backyard with black table cloths, with individual center pieces, diamond table scatters and white rose petals. I’ve never seen the backyard (with a lake-​view) look so breathtaking!
I could go on and on, but in the end, with the help of Teresa… we not only threw an event but gave each of our guests an experience. It’s been several days and it’s still the hot topic. I’m glad she was able to attend the party and meet everyone.
…and I’ll be honest. When I found out who he had hired to throw my party, I was a little skeptical since she didn’t have adult-​themed parties under her belt (or portfolio), but you know what they say, give someone a challenge and just watch them blow you away. I wanted the «WOW» factor and she gave us all that and more. I can’t wait for the professional photos to be done so you all could see what I’m talking about.
Thank you, Teresa, for making it the best birthday party I’ve ever had! Life is short, don’t wait for an engagement or wedding to have an all out theme. I usually dread my birthdays but I’m currently having withdrawals from this one. =)

Another fabulous party (this time for my son’s 1^st bday) by Over the Top! My house looked like Sesame Street, down to the personalized street sign and a REAL live goldfish and decorated fish bowl for Dorothy! Games, activities, crayons for the kids, personalized play dough for each guest, cookies, cakes… Everything you could imagine, they thought of and handled. I would have spent thousands and thousands of dollars and an equal amount of hours trying to do half of what they pulled together. What incredibly special memories, thanks to Over the Top!
I also had them decorate my home for the holidays. My house went from basic to beautiful and festive in a flash. There’s nothing they can’t do!

We paid $ 350 for our son s birthday party, and we are totally not impressed by everything. Yes, it does look great, and we were expecting the games /​activities to be more fun than just simple drawing paper (no crayon provided)? . If I knew this is what I am getting, I would have just spent two hrs shopping and done it myself. I even have to ask my guest to bring food over due to the price of the party. Next time, we will just spent the 350 on good food, cakes and cup cakes to avoid the expectation on the price we paid.

All the parties I’ved planned has always been a headache with my busy schedule. Thanks to a freind she recommended Teresa to help me out. Let me tell you, Teresa is very knowledgable on making things happen. My wife and I were very pleased with her communication and professionalism. Teresa is definitely a «Event Planner!» My party was a success and really appreciate her work! Would highly recommend!!!
