Tequila Mexican Restaurant

Really great food at great prices! Husband got the burrito loco which was HUGE! He loved the grilled chicken with marinade on it. I got the olé mexicana and it was delicious! Wish the tortillas were grilled or toasted but other than that it was good! Great service and environment! We will be back :)

Moved here 6 years ago and this was our first Mexican joint. After sampling pretty much all of them in the area, this is hands down our favorite. Kid friendly. Good drinks. Yummy food with an updated menu. Nice specials now. Either they are under new management or they just decided to redo things but I’m digging the changes.

Complimentary chips and salsa. Delicious food. The lunch prices are good enough that I feel like it would be a waste of money to go elsewhere. I have been here a dozen times now and have only had positive experiences with the service — thank you. There are TVs inside if you just want to chill they have weekly music/​karaōke. I’m definitely going to develop into a regular here. See you again soon. And again after that. And again…

Okay service, very bad food. My wife had a chimichanga and I had the fajitas and both were bad. Chips were stale. Didn’t even get the waters we asked for with our meal. Will not go back, unless it’s just for drinks

This is one of my fav Mexican restaurants — the food the service — everything is great– now obviously this place tastes like el maguey just like qdoba tastes like chipotle but you get the drift– going in here they have a smoking area– which is a + for some

The waitress kept bugging me about my Arizona drivers license, because I don’t have to renew my ID until I’m 65. So that was annoying, but then we had to literally sit and wait after we finished eating and drinking for 10 minutes before we could get our bill. The food was okay. The drink was okay.

Avoid this place.!! It used to be a regular happy hour place with decent at best food and drink. It has went DOWN HILL. Salsa is pure tomato sauce, service is horrible even when the place is empty. Food has never been that great so I stopped ordering that a while back. Spoke with the manager on duty about the decline in food and service. she was not concerned and took offense to my critique. This place won’t be open much longer .I can’t imagine. Too many other good Mexican restaurants around to go to this place. Watered down Margaritas. horrible! Move past this place and eat elsewhere!

Really good service here and they are quick. Great food. Not enough alcohol in the daiquiri. But overall very happy with this place. Much better than some of the other Mexican places around here.

Insipid, midwest-​style attempt at American «Mexican» food. Salsa tastes like salt-​and-​garlic-​flavored tomatoes with no spice or kick at all. Can’t really taste anything more than salt and garlic.
Wicked fast, but not sure that’s always a good thing. No leftovers. Chicken breast had been pounded out SO THIN I could almost read a newspaper through it, and come to think of it, it was so dry and tasteless that a cooked newspaper might’ve tasted better.
The menu described the chicken and the veggies that came with it as being «covered with melted cheese». I could barely find any cheese at all anywhere on my plate.
I rarely go to a Mexican place and don’t have leftovers to take home. Not here. They spread it all out to make it look like you have a huge plate of food, but with chicken that thin, runny beans, some cooked veggie concoction (basically mexicali corn like what comes out of a Green Giant can – corn with a bit of red bell pepper in it), and no cheese, it wasn’t all that much food and there were no leftovers.
Disappointed. Chalk it up to this must be the way locals like to pretend they are eating Mexican food – lots of sat and garlic but very little authentic Mexican flavors, small-​ish portions made to look a lot larger than they are, and basically fast food at a sit down restaurant price. Oh wait, Mexican fast food is actually better.

Where’s the beef?
I had the monster burrito, and I only had four bites that had meat in it, not cool for the price, not even half that price.
If I went back I would order the veggie fajitas and the guacamole, they do that well and it is well worth the price.
The sauce that comes with the tortilla chips taste like cold spaghetti sauce, I asked for the hot and they gave me some type of paste base stuff that did not have a good flavor.
The food gets to the table faster than a fast food restaurant.
This place is kind of a train wreck, but If I lived in the midwest all my life then I would probably think this place was good all the way around.

Monster burrito is great. Good prices too. And it’s a 10 min walk from my house. That of course helps when the large Dos Equis are flowing.

My favorite Mexican place. Great service every time. Great prices on food and the best prices on margaritas. Food is always quick to come out and your margaritas never run out. Great atmosphere and a live band on Fridays and Saturday nights I believe.

Stopped in here to try another local Mexican option, pleasantly surprised! Good service and friendly staff. Had all the usual Mexican restaurant menu options and some good looking Tequila special dishes. I ended up doing the combo fajitas as comparison and they were very good. Chips and salsa was also tasty. My wife said the beans and rice didn’t have as much flavor as our usual place but it was still good. I’m going to have to come back and try some of the one of a kind options.

Good service. Fun times. Not the best Mexican. Everything I’ve gotten has been super super greasy! Good place for social gatherings.

Came here with 11 others without calling ahead, shame on us. The hostess seemed a little frazzled about the situation but seated us quickly and our male server allowed is to push tables together how we wanted. The chips and salsa were amazing and the special for the day was 2.00 margaritas. The food portions were gigantic and our server was incredibly friendly and attentive. The décor was silly and so is the idea of paying at the front instead of at the table but I liked this place and will definitely return in the future.

I thought it was pretty good. service was fine for me. food was good too. small restaurant, and not too loud.

I hate to mention that I eat the whole bag of chips and salsa and leave no room for the main course.

Monster margaritas!
I had so much fun here with a couple friends while on business in St. Louis. The margaritas were so huge! It was a challenge to finish them but… we managed!
The food was standard Mexican and the prices were reasonable. Service was a little spotty. Certainly worth a stop.

Pleasantly surprised. Had a coupon so we decided to try it. Clean and well decorated. Food was hot and plentiful and the chips were crispy. Service was great. Will definitly patronize again. Reasonable prices as well.
