Came here this morning for breakfast. Love the Mediterranean style decore. We sat at this corner table and I was able to put my legs up and chill. Loved it. French Toast simply delish. The pancakes are absolutely divine. Almost to die for. It’s light and fluffy. The blueberries on top with drizzles of melted maple butter… What perfection. Highly recommend. We’ll be back

There are few times when you search for a great place to eat when you’re on vacation and find one that you won’t forget — Mid-point Grill is one of those places, and this is one of those times. The gorgeous old building(built in the 1890s, we learned) adds to the touch of class, comfort and rustic charm as they whip up incredibly tasty food, most of which is bought locally and made in-house. Organic, clean food is huge in Arizona right now(where we are from) and this spot would fit in PERFECTLY anywhere in the state. I wish we lived closer so we could enjoy the bison burgers and sweet potato fries more often! The service, just as a little cherry on top, is phenomenal and we were served by the owner, David! Any time we are in San Antonio again we will ABSOLUTELY be back. THANKYOU for the best and most wonderful experience with your Texas hospitality.

Today I had the best of the best chicken fried steak. Great amount of batter on great piece of meat that sticks to the meat. Piping hot all the way through and cut it with my fork. Great Service. Cant wait for the beer and wine soon.

This place has amazing food! It has only been open approximately 9 months and I have made it my mission to spread the word… this is a must eat! Chef Tony did an excellent job. I love to see such passion and want them to succeed… please try it out and spread the word!

I’m beyond satisfied stopping by this hidden gem. We’ve tried other eats in the area but this one blows everything out of the water! Even beats The Cove! Service: Was unbelievably amazing, the service was prompt, the server(owner?) was courteous and explained the menu items thoroughly. Food: Was outstanding, we wanted something«light» and opted for sandwiches. We tried the buffalo chicken sandwich, it was rich with flavor and not overly sauced. Also tried the fried pickles — WOW. We tried the cranberry kale salad, WOW. I was just surprised at the amount of freshness each item had. You can tell it was made to order and used fresh ingredients. I’d highly recommend trying this place, as of September 2nd its BYOB. Call ahead to see if they obtained their license. Also pet and biker friendly. Support local and try this place, I’m coming back for those fried pickles.

Excellent service, very quiet for a late afternoon on a Saturday. The sweet potato fries are out of this world! Friendly folks and good eats. A tiny bit overpriced, but then again that is the trend.

I just finished having dinner at the Mid Point Grill and it was wonderful! I love the fact that they use quality ingredients in their food. I want to know what I put in my body is not overly processed. We were the only couple in the restaurant for a while and that was just fine with me. It is a hidden gem and I like that because I didn’t have to wait in line. I hope they do enough business to stick around for a long time. The fried pickles were outstanding and the cabernet burger was excellent. I was even offered a sample of the grape celery juice they make and I am a fan. I thought it would be terrible but it was such a fresh clean juice that I will be going back for more. I wasn’t a fan of the sweet potato fries; they didn’t seem fully cooked. But the fact that they are using fresh quality ingredients will allow me to overlook this. The regular fries were very good. I wish I had made it to dessert because the salted caramel ice cream and the chocolate mousse sounded really good. I will be back in a heartbeat! Thank you so much for a quality restaurant where I don’t have to wonder what is in my food.

This is my second time here and I absolutely love the food. My favorite is the bacon wrapped scallops. Today I tried the fish tacos and the shrimp quesadilla and they were both delicious. I definitely recommend you guys come out and try this new upcoming restaurant. You will not be disappointed

Delicious, generous portion sweet potato fries and chicken sandwich. Going back to try several things including salmon and not-your-usual-sides vegetables. Friendly and clean!

Delish the food is awesome here and so is the service! Quality food! I’ve had the fish tacos, the ribeye, and the salmon and all were as good as it looks on the photos we were very impressed.

Loved the fish tacos, French fries special for $ 9.99. Very affordable for lunch. The tacos were fresh and light. I opted for the grilled fish vs. the breaded. Excellent choice. The fries come as either regular or sweet. I picked sweet and loved the fact that they were hand-cut & sprinkled with cinnamon. The space is very clean & nicely decorated.

Wanted to give this hidden gem a shout out and a big High-five…I travel often and love food so I was curious to see what this place offered… I had the fish tacos(grilled) with the veggies and the broccolini — I love the fish tacos from the COVE so I was curios to see how these compared — VERYNICEJOB Mid-Point! I can honestly say there is a lot of attention to detail here and the food has a very unique presentation and taste. I would also recommend the BISON burger, the combination of blue cheese and raspberry is AMAZING! The SWEETPOTATO fries are TRULYOUTOFTHISWORLDSCRUMPTIOUS… they are an absolute MUST! I have visited some of the best restaurants in Miami/Vegas/L.A/NY and I have to say I am pretty impressed with Mid-Point — You can tell the chef has a passion for the food he is cooking — KUDOS to you Mid-Point and I will absolutely come back with some friends this time… oh and for the appetizer go for the pizza that has cilantro/chorizo I promise you will not be disappointed with that choice because it screams DELICIOUSNESS! HAPPYTOREPORT I WILLBEGOINGTOMIDPOINT vs. THE Cove for my fish tacos — Sorry but it is important to be honest and true and when you have a good thing you have to share the info with all! :) P. S. I LOVE the simplicity of your menu – it is simple and easy on the eyes(not like a lot of other restaurants that have excessive plates/dishes to offer).

Not a bad place, but not amazing. I had the fish tacos and my boyfriend had the burger. We found that both of our dishes lacked in seasoning tremendously. The sweet potato fries, however, are the most amazing sweet potato fries I’ve ever tasted! I just felt that, at least the dinner, the food was a little overpriced, especially for being so bland. It was also very awkward because we were the ONLY people there for a good hour and a half. Hopefully this place works out the kinks and also gets rid of the still lingering traces of Green.

Not bad, I’ll definitely go again. Had one of the $ 10 lunch specials, chicken parmigiana sandwich with side of broccolini. Potentially good sandwich undermined by store-bought bread(WTF), but the chicken was substantial and tender. Broccolini was supposed to be sautéed in garlic and white wine, but tasted was just kind of tough(not even crunchy) and flavorless. At least it was bright green and fresh, so I think with some work or additional kitchen talent it could be pretty good. The building interior looks a lot brighter and cleaner than it did when occupied by Green. Got rid of the clutter and the faux-hippy décor. Hope they leave it spare and full of natural light, and spend their money instead on better bread and culinary know-how. The staff is genuinely cool and friendly, no hipster pretense at all. That goes a long ways.

Try this place NOW! We tried Mid-Point Grill this past Monday, 12 May 14, and it was great! We were talking to the owner/manager(not sure) and he said they had only been open for about a month. First the food: I had the salmon and it was cooked perfectly with just a hint of the wine/butter sauce it was cooked in. I do not like my fish to be overpowered by the sauce and this was an excellent mix of flavors. As a side I had the sweet potato fries(the potatos were hard and not overly flavorful) and butternut squash(cooked with just a touch of honey and brown sugar… excellent mix). My fiancé had the pork chop and I will tell you it was fantastic! It was a thick chop and cooked perfectly. As sides she had the kale(it was fresh with almonds and cranberrys and just a hint of dressing) and seasoned vegatables(squash and zuchini… she wasn’t a fan because they were cooked with too much butter). My daughter-in-law had the fish tacos and she loved them(our grandaughter even loved them and she doesn’t like fish… we told her they were chicken… shhhh don’t tell). The service: we were the only ones in the restaurant, so I can’t comment on how the service would be on a busy night, but on this night the service was exceptional. Our server(sorry I’m horrible with names) took care of our every need and was constantly picking up plates and trash as people finished their meals. They have an outdoor patio, so I asked if they were dog friendly and they said they were. This is a huge bonus as we love to take our dogs with us when we go out to eat. We will definitely be going to the Mid-Point Grill again and if their food and service continue as we experienced Monday night this will become a regular hangout for us!

I stumbled upon Mid-point Grill upon finding out that Taps y Tapas had changed their hours AGAIN and weren’t open for lunch except for Fridays… Located in the old Green building, the interior hasn’t changed much from it’s greener days :) They have lunch specials which includes fries and a drink! They also have a grilled cheese/soup lunch special! I ordered the daily special– the chicken sandwich, and it was oh-so-yummy! It had bacon on it, and ranch! The fries were really tasty, too. From talking to my server, it sounds like they use ingredients that are local and organic. Everything was tasty and fresh and good and I will definitely be back!
