I continued to order from this place only because they’re cheap & they deliver which is convenient. I’ve ordered 3 times from this place & each time there were issues. first experience is documented in my previous review, second time they sent the wrong item(Mongolian beef instead of Mongolian chicken) but my bf & I were starving so we ate it anyway, & third time the sauce from my noodles had spilled all over the inside of the bag yet again! Also, given my not so stellar experiences, this time I opted not to include a tip when ordering online. I personally tip based on whether I’m satisfied with my service & not simply because a delivery person is doing the job they’re already being paid to do. When the delivery guy arrived, he was not friendly at all. He never said a single word to me, not even a «Hi» so based on my previous experiences & his lack of service, I decided I wasn’t including a tip(which I’m sure some of you think is harsh but I’ve worked in customer service for years & I know what«good» customer service is plus I do tip very well to those who deserve it) The guy stood at my door and said«you forgot the tip» & stared at me as I’m trying to close the door. now, seeing this man knows where I live, I’m not trying to cause a scene cuz you never know what some people are capable of so I hand over the minimum 10% just to get him to leave but I absolutely HATE when tips are solicited. If you provided the customer with a great experience, you wouldn’t have to ask for that tip so Ocean Palace, please train your delivery guy on basic customer service & work on your packaging of food/attention to detail.

Ordered food late. they were closed, but still charged me. I have made several attempts to be refunded, and have been refused repeatedly… Buyer BEWARE…

Ate here with my family and we were the only ones eating. The meat came in tough, the rice was very salty, and they forgot one of our orders, and we only ordered 3 items mind you. They weren’t even that busy. Spend your money somewhere else

Delivery was fast. Portions are big. Food was kind of bland. No soy sauce came with the delivery which really bummed me out.

My favorite Chinese food in the peninsula! My favorites are the won ton soup, chicken fried rice and the lunch shrimp and black bean asparagus plate. The food here consistently tastes good and the price is very reasonable. I travel from South San Francisco to come here, my two little boys love it also!

I’ve just moved back in town & have been searching for my «go-to» Chinese restirant. And I think I have found it! Delivery was fast and food was awesome & good prices.

Came here for the first time, it was empty and small. More people came by to pick up rather than stay in Servers were semi-fluent in English Food was great.

My coworker and I didn’t pack lunch, so we decided to do Chinese food. Our area of work is kinda awkward to find but I did give them a specific address for where we were at. The guy typed in the wrong address and had the nerve to ask for a tip. My coworker had to flag him down because the delivery driver did not input the correct address. I should have read the comments and reviews about this place before I ordered from here. People are right, the driver asks for a tip. That is totally unacceptable. Tips are earned! And it is unacceptable when you are late and are rude on the phone when I’m trying to give specific directions

One star because The food in this place is good however their customer service is absolutely horrible and not to mention their«free delivery» has to be 20 bucks minimums ok that’s understandable but the part I did not like was when the delivery Guy showed up with my delivery he started demanding for a tip… First of all here is a tip if you have a free delivery make it free do not ask for a tip and second tip if you are going to ask for a tip do it with respect and with plain curtesy you NEVERBUTNEVERASKFOR A TIPIN A RUDEWAY!!! I will not be coming back to this restaurant or even order for delivery this people should learn how to treat their guess with respect not as a dollar sign!!! I will take my money somewhere els and I will not recommend this place. Hope this was helpful for you guys.

We typically order take out — the basics like fried rice, chow mein, won ton soup… we’re always pretty pleased with the food… once in a while the salt and pepper pork chop is a bit dry but we always reorder it anyway lol… everything else, especially the chicken fried rice, is always on point! When our order is of greater than $ 30, they give a free snack, like egg rolls. :)

Awesome service and great food. Favorite is the garlic chicken wings and Won Ton soup with thinly sliced beef!

Not the best place to eat Chinese food, I’ve tasted better. Service was fast, and the server was polite. I probably would view it differently if they remodeled the place and ordered different food.

Was forced to eat here for a family dinner and was not impressed… It was not worth spending $ 100 here… food tasted horrible and we were the only ppl dining here on a Saturday night… Still on the hunt for good and cheap Chinese food in the bay… I’m totally spoiled being from the 626…

Good food! Portions are decent and also the price on the menu. A lot of choices. Restaurant needs some more cleanliness, remodeling and organization(carpet worn out and not clean, windows missing, condiments not filled up and clean on tables) I hope the kitchen is clean. Didn’t go to the restroom. Overall a good place to swing by for some quick lunch or dinner.

Friendly people, somewhat fast delivery, but food was so so, salty, and heavy. I also ordered the typical American Chinese food though: Orange chicken, General Chicken, rice, potstickers(doughy).

I ordered delivery the other night for myself and once the food got to my house the driver knocked on my door, handed me my food asked me to sign my recipt and said«TIP». nothing else just tip. I told him I am sorry I apoligise but i did not have any cash thats why paid with my credit card. he just stood there and said tip gaian 3x. I repeted myself. then he got mad and raised his voice at me and said«EVERYONEPAYTIP» . i told him i was sorry i did not have any cash. he then stormed off and started yelling in my apartment complex in chinese. Totaly unaccaptable, unprofessional and rude. The food was ok but i resuse to support a businuess that has horrible customer service.

Decided to ignore reviews and see how this place turned out. Service was quick. Got there in about 35 – 40 mins like they said. I was waiting for the delivery man to demand me for a larger tip like other reviews did, but he was okay with the $ 3 tip I gave him. I had the mushroom chicken and wonton soup. Both were decent, but not fantastic. I also don’t see how people thought the portions were huge, because I thought they were small. Decent food if you want some delivery, but I would try something else next time.

Whats up with the people in northern california now a days?! Ordered delivery here thinking it would be quick. Took about an hour or a little over. I have a dog that likes to bark at people so rushing to get the door. I was grabbing tip and picking up my dog. The guy kept on knocking and ringing the door bell historically like he had been standing outside for 30 minutes when he just got here. After opening the door I apologized about my dog. Like it mattered to him. He rudely gave me a mean stare and gave me the paper to sign. Signed it and handed him the tip. The guy just stared so i literally handed it into his hand. Ridiculously– the guy said I owed him $ 5 for tip when the delivery cost $ 25. I’d be more then happy to give u a $ 5 if you 1– weren’t so lifeless and rude. 2– if you had made the delivery within 30 minutes. And now you want to tell me $ 3 isn’t 15% of tip on a $ 25 bill and it should have been $ 5?! He deserved that slammed door to his face WHODOESTHAT?! Whats up with these norcal restaurants pissing me off left and right. You arent the server or my cook– DELIVERYGUY. Explains why this is your JOB

I really hate to complain but I just had one of the worst experiences with food delivery person today. I ordered from Ocean Palace through from work. It popped up on the search list. How am I supposed to know that they hate delivering«so far away»?? Maybe they should contact Eat24 and tell them not to include them in a particular mile radius search or put some kind of note on their business page. So My experience from here: 1) my order took 80 minutes(eta was 30 – 50 minutes). No apology from the delivery guy. 2) The delivery guy was a bit rude and unfriendly from the very beginning and 3) He actually complained about the amount of tip I put down. I mean really? You’re over 30 minutes late and you expected more tip? Food was pretty cold and not all that good. Never going to order from them again. :(

Hm, I find the negative reviews of OP questionable. Let’s discuss. I have ordered delivery from OP twice and have been quite impressed. I use the Unilocal app’s ordering function from Eat24 to place my order. It doesn’t get much easier than that, folks. So far, I’ve ordered Seafood Chow Fun, House Chow Fun, Salty Squid, dumplings(hella dumplings), Kung Pao Shrimp and Chicken Wonton Soup. All of that was delicious! The food has arrived at my den of inequity piping hot – both times. The wait is about 30 minutes between 7 and 8 p.m., which seems entirely reasonable to me. The portions are legion. You get a lot of bang for your buck at OP. I ordered four dishes and I’m pretty sure I’m set for the rest of the week, dinner wise. No one from OP has ever demanded a tip from me. I’d like to note for the record, however, that tipping ain’t just a city in China. If you order via the Unilocal app, it allows you to leave a gratuity. Considering that delivery is free and the high quality of the dishes, I think a decent tip is in order. The delivery person has been nothing but exceedingly nice to me. You want good service? You get what you pay for. I strongly recommend OP for delivery. It’s delicious, affordable and perfect for a quick dinner.
