Alla is sweet and always does a fantastic job cutting my hair. She doesn’t rush her work and is very meticulous down to the last detail. Her prices are fair ($ 27 for men’s cut) and usually, you will be the only client in the salon — there’s no feeling of her being in a rush. I like how APPOINTMENTS ARE HONORED, so there’s no need to wait. You just have to make sure to call in advance to book a spot. Great haircuts, friendly owner, no long cues and a hassle-​free experience at Vadim’s.

I definitely recommend Vadim’s! If you’re looking for a great haircut give this place a try. Alla knows exactly what she’s doing. You won’t go wrong.

When I came to the USA, I tried to find a good haircutter for a long time. I went to a cheap salon, and I went to a very expensive master, but everywhere I didn’t get what i wanted. I was disappointed every time. After one haircutter cut off a lot of my hair (of course, I hadn’t given her permission) I stopped going to haircutters. I had not had my hair cut for 2 years until my friend told me about her master. I didn’t dare to go there but I had so much hair and it was hard to take care of it. When I finally got my hairstyle from Alla the first time I was surprised that i got exactly what i wanted. I was happy that I found hairdresser who understood me. She never cut off an extra inch without asking, and I love it :) I am not afraid about my hair any more. Also I like every new haircut by Alla. She really understands exactly what I want and makes it exactly what I want. She is a professional in her field!

**Review based on Men’s haircut**
I actually tried Vadim’s based on the Unilocal reviews. The haircut was good for the price. I ended up paying $ 23 dollars for my cut. This is the same price for a haircut at Roobik’s just up the street but not the same quality cut. The owner, Alla, seemed like a nice enough woman but make sure you arrive a little early. I walked through the door right at my appointment time and she was already calling my cell phone.

This is small hair salon. We’ve been using it for 5 years. Me, and at least three persons I know. Prices are fair. I’d say, the only disadvantage is that you have to call in advance. But hey, All is good and in demand.

My family recently moved from San Mateo to San Bruno and previously we were driving to Sunnyvale for hair cuts. Alla was recommended by a friend who lives in San Bruno. Alla is amazing! She knows hair and both my mother (very short hair) and myself (past the shoulder length hair) get amazing cuts. My mother and I never can go to the same salon because we find that the person usually doesn’t do a good job on both long and short hair. We both have found the answer with Alla and at an amazing price to boot!!!
She gives recommendations on how to achieve the look you want and suggestions that will flatter your face… she just gets it. I can’t wait to try her coloring services!

I have been a client for over fifteen years and would recommend Vadim’s to both men and women. I have difficult hair to cut, but Alla, the owner always does a great job. Alla is a true stylist and interesting to talk with. An added feature of the shop is that there is usually great background music. I have several times borrowed her CD’s to record.

Alla is great, I have been going here for the last 5 years since I moved to the area, did go to different places a few times due to schedule but was disappointed compare to what I get here. Another good thing is its open on Saturday if you don’t have time during the week. The haircut is always great and the price is very reasonable.

Alla is the only woman I trust with my hair — she is a real master of her art. I have been coming to her for many years for my haircuts. She never rushes anything — everything she does is impeccable. She will advise you on choice of haircut, ease of upkeep and styling, and will give you hints on how to style the hair yourself later.

I’m very picky with my hair, and have had hair anywhere from a bob all the way down to the middle of my back — from dark red to bright blonde. And my mom has recently started rocking the pixie cut and covering a few gray hairs. Alla (the owner of the salon) has been absolutely amazing in managing all of that.
I even used to go to L Salon in San Mateo (which is pretty famous and styles for a lot of photoshoots), but I’VE BEEN MUCH HAPPIER WITH THE QUALITY — AT HALF THE PRICE — here.
ABOUT THE OWENER/​STYLIST:
The sole owner and hair stylist’s name is Alla. She’s a wonderful woman who’s had many many years of experience and operates her own salon so that she can take the time she wants with each customer. I’ve never seen her cut corners or overbook and rush. She can cut any kind of hair, and is a pleasure to be around while she’s doing it.
HAIRCUTS: she can do anything
Alla does a pixie cut on my mom and has done both a bob and long layers on me. She also somehow manages to make my dad (who is slightly balding and doesn’t usually care for hair salons) look good. I’ve seen men come in here who have previously just gotten $ 10 buzzcuts, but after going to her, are amazed at what a difference an experienced stylist can make (with unevenly-​shaped heads, bald spots, etc.). Even living in LA, I’m unable to find someone I trust as much as I did her.
HAIR COLOR: awesome colors, awesome blending
I’ve sported anything from natural-​looking golden highlights, to burgundy/​red streaked hair, to bright blond locks over the years. Alla always knows what to do, no matter what I ask for. She also knows how to fix it when I’m not in the Bay Area and go to someone else and am unhappy with the results. One thing she’s great at that I’ve been unable to find anyone even remotely comparable at is blending your natural hair color with highlights/​dye-​jobs. It saves a ton of time and money that you’d be spending getting touchups every few weeks. It was a lifesaver when I (a natural light-​brunette) had blonde hair.

$ 30+ for women’s cuts
$ 60+ for color
$ 65+ for perm
All of these, of course, depend on length of hair, type of haircut, and type of color — but they’re always more affordable than any reputable salon, but of the same (if not better) quality.
PARKING:
Lots of free parking in local lots and streets.
MAKING AN APPOINTMENT:
Since Alla is the sole owner/​stylist, she won’t always pick up the phone if she’s with a client, so just leave her a message and she’ll call you back.

Well i have been coming here for like 10 years now and have never been disappointed. this isnt supercuts garbage for $ 10. The lady knows how to do the hair. 2 thumbs up
