They did a great job in resizing my watch by removing links. Fast and affordable.

I bought a watch on ebay and it needed a battery. This particular watch actually has 2 batteries. We went to Sears first, and the man was unable to get the watch to work. I checked Unilocal and found Timeworks in the mall. It took some time but the owner got the watch to work. It needed some cleaning. It was great to have a professional get this gift running. Our best man was very happy with his watch.

Extremely rude. Came for watch resizing. It’s an omega and was told that it’ll take 15 minutes to work on the watch. The old man wanted me to leave the watch with him and I wasn’t comfortable with the idea. I was respectful and kind. I patiently waited. He asked me four or three links, I told him three. He finally does the sizing (removing four links) and it was tight. This idiot starts giving attitude and saying how I didn’t trust him. Completely unprofessional. Tells me, he should be charging double. I told him to not do any further work. Throws the watch on the counter. Completely unnecessary. Tells me ppl leave Rolex’s with him. I understand he was hurt that I didn’t trust him but I wasn’t rude or disrespectful. AVOID this shop. I love supporting small businesses but it’s not my fault you are where you are in your life. Call me an asshole but if you have opened a business, respect your customers if you like them or not.
Go to Sears watch repair instead. Zero stars for this old hag.

I previously raved about this place but after finding out that they did not seal my watch correctly I have to say that I cannot recommend this place for anything other than just simple battery changes on cheap watches.
I brought my expensive watch there for a simple battery change because I’ve had good success there previously. Well, it’s been a couple months and I noticed that the inside of the crystal fogs up. So I took it apart just to find that the rubber o-​ring gasket/​seal was not properly installed and it allowed water to seep into the back of the watch. No bueno!
I’d take it back but I know I’ll be met with contempt and a fat headache! So I think I’ll just get it repaired at a reputable dealer instead of cheaping out!
I really wanted to like these guys and even gave a pass for their attitude. But if you can’t put a simple o-​ring back on a divers watch then I can’t condone going there.

I wanted to upgrade the neoprene band on my Deep Blue diver’s watch to the black ceramic hard band. When I received the new band in the mail, I took it to the Timeworks so-​called «watch repair» store in Tanforan where the very odd and rude repairman, after fussing with it for a while, said he was just unable to do it and didn’t want to waste his time on it. He also told me, while he was fussing over my watch, that I should turn around and look out at the mall because my standing at the counter was «distracting». This guy is a real piece of work.
I don’t know if I can plug another store, but there is a REAL watch repair shop on Grand Ave in SSF. See my review of that store.

I just visited this store to have a new battery put in my watch. I see what the other Yellers are saying about not offering the friendliest of service, but the workmanship was great.
I will be back for sure!

I had just bought a new watch, but the bracelet was too big for my wrist. I brought it to Timeworks and could not have been happier with the service. I put the watch on so the gentleman behind the counter could see how loose it it was — he recommended removing two links, took it to his workbench, and in just a couple minutes was finished. I tried the watch on and it fit perfectly. I would definitely bring all my watch/​clock repair work here.

I had no problems when I came here. Came in for a simple watch sizing which took less than 2 minutes and cost less than $ 10. I would definitely come back here to size another watch.

I brought my watch in for him to change the battery, simple job, and he bends the straps all the way back like he wanted to rip it off. When I got my watch back it was blinking and would not stop, I thought was just me not knowing how to use my watch as I don’t wear it much. Then I realize he messed up my watch and now it would no longer adjust the time. Seriously, how can you mess up something so simple? If you can’t do something as simple as changing a battery, you are in the wrong business. Don’t go to this place!!!

I’ve always brought my watches here until now. A large Russian Proprieter was very rude and accused me of not having my watch adjusted here previously. He literally asked me «why you come now we about to close.» It’s 8:30 and I just want to get my watch fixed.
If he didn’t want to fix my watch then he should have just told me. I was willing to pay regardless if this shop had adjusted the band previously or not. I just wanted my watch fixed.
I would advise everyone who shops in Tanforan mall not to go to this shop as there is a mean and very rude shop owner who does not seem to want to help anyone. No greeting, no welcoming gesture, no service.

Got a few repairs and battery replacement here and it was a delight. And as far as the owner/​repair guy, other reviews are saying that he’s rude but all I care was getting my repairs and adjustments done right and with great prices. Will definitely be back!

Great service at a low price. I am in and out of his store in ten minutes and have had no problems. This was my forth time at his store and will go back again.

Brought my kids’ wristwatches and had them repaired. The straps dislodged because of their usual carelessness. Ark fixed them both for 10.00/each. The watches lasted an hour on their wrist before it gave way again.

He deserves no stars. but since you have to put a star to post a review… he gets only 1. for the following reasons
1) being a rude person
2)mocking his customers
3) basically ignoring me when I asked him a question about repairing my watches and how much it would cost.
4) I dont know what his problem is and i dont care to know, but he really needs to have a reality check. If people would just read these comments before going into his shop… he’d get it.

No star if I could but the lowest is a 1 unfortunately. Came in looking for a replacement battery for my laser pointer (figured they should have the small batteries for it). I was not sure what they were called at that moment but when I tried to describe it the old man at the counter went nuts and was mockingly rude saying I should know what kind of battery I was looking for. I told him I needed a flat battery for a laser pointer and he showed me a CR 2032 but when I said I needed a smaller one he went nuts again and was very condecending. He also said he would not look into all of his battery compartments. Not giving up, I looked for it online and found what it was (it was a LR44). I showed him the picture on my smart phone and he produced it. I payed $ 6 for it. Going to Target a short distance away, I found out that I was ripped off. At Target I could get 3 of the same batteries for $ 8. Please avoid this place if you can. There are other watch repair services that are better with producing good PR and customer service. Terrible experience and will not be going there, ever.

It’s4 months later and my mother-in-law’s watch stopped entirely. Now I need to take it to a real watchmaker for repair. Oh well.

I agree with Brent V. I’m also not sure why TimeWorks got such low marks. I LOVE watches and I have quite a few of them in my collection from Breitling to Frank Muller and I would trust any repair to TimeWorks.
Two years ago, I bought a high-​end watch from an internet site and even though it had all the necessary paperwork, I wanted to make sure the watch was real. TimeWorks was recommended to me by a friend as a good local shop for watch repair. The owner carefully took the watch apart and showed me the movement and reassured me that the watch was real. He then performed maintenance (oil, gasket, etc…) to the watch and the watch works great! I could not be any happier. I have been taking my watches for maintenance and repairs ever since.

Not sure why Timeworks got the low reviews. I had three watches each needing a different repair — a dead battery, a broken band, and a cracked glass faceplate. He replaced the battery and fixed the band on the spot in a few minutes. He needed more time for the cracked faceplate, but he got that replaced in about three days. So I now have three functioning watches at a fair price ($ 8 for the battery, $ 18 for the band fix, $ 35 for the faceplate replacement). Considering the price of a decent new watch, it made much more sense to fix these.
I don’t think the owner will win any awards for being cheerful and friendly. But at the same time, he wasn’t rude or obnoxious. He’s just a plain-​speaking, matter-​of-​fact type of person. Will I go get a beer with him? No. Will I get other watches repaired at Timeworks in the future? Probably.

Don’t go here. I went in to drop off my clock, and the owner was talking on his phone while assisting me. My clock didn’t have any numbers to indicate hours, just a graphic design and and some words. I showed him where the 12 o’clock should be and how I’d like to hang it, and he acknowledged (while still on his phone). 1 week and 40 bucks later, he gave me back a misaligned clock. I explained how I had originally wanted it, and he gave me a few excuses about why it looks better the way he did it, and how it would take a lot of work to redo it.
He gets 2 stars, cause at least my clock works now. But I would never go back to Timeworks.

When you happen to be shopping in the mall, this is the place to go. It has the convenience of having one’s watch repair done while one can take care of other problems. The batteries and band adjustment prices are fairly reasonable.
It is everything else that isn’t. They charged me $ 14 for a replacement seal on my Seiko just to over torque the replacement.
