I really want everybody to know how horrible my daughter’s birthday party was handled by this
company (and I will instruct everyone who still calls them for service, so sit tight)
I ordered service from
to get a jumphouse for my daughter’s birthday party (that was suppose to start at 1pm). I was really surprised to get a call from a driver at 9:30 am informing me about his broken navigation (obviously I helped to navigate). Driver was 3 !!! hours early, when I needed to do more preparation… When I got to the park on SCHEDULED TIME (it gets better) I found out that driver actually left to take care of the other order (nice! right?)
Fine! I went to the store to get some ice… when I came back to the park I find out from my crying wife that since we don’t have the extension cord (which we [CUSTOMERS] are suppose to take care of) we have to pay $ 60 for generator (SUPER EXCITING DAY SO FAR)
Luckily my friends went to local electronic store to get extension cord, while I am (super frustrated) trying to explain ComicJumps manager that customer is not suppose to take care of extensions and other tech things. When customer pays 300 $ for the service he/​she expects things to be handled professionally!
And the last part.
Driver left without waiting for my friends to bring extension cord and power for the jump house.
Hooray!

WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER WORKED WITH! The delivery guy was great and worked hard, but this company sent out one guy to deliver 7 tables, 46 chairs and a jumper. He was an hr late, but I totally blame the company and not him. To send out one guy to do deliveries by himself of course he is going to be late. The lady working the phone was one of the most rudest people I have ever dealt with and needs a lesson in customer service. One you do not hang up on customers and two you don’t lie to a customer. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!

This place is the worst! Wanted to do something special for my sons birthday. Spent about 2 weeks looking at different jumpers from different sites until he picked the one he wanted. I ended up renting from this place… big mistake!!! They delivered the wrong jumper. The jumper had patches in it that we’re keeping it from inflating correctly. It took them until half way through the party to bring an extra blower which they guaranteed would solve the problem but didn’t. The manager/​owner was completely rude and unprofessional so you can only guess how his employees acted! Expected to get a refund or at least a pretty decent discount and ended up have to pay what that jumper cost! Never again will I rent from this place!!! They don’t even deserve the one star

I give a second opportunity to this company after horrible bad experience with late delivery. It seems that things have not changed in that company and customer services still is horrible.
They delivered a Margarita Machine in our party with out setting it up. The instructions they provided were no clear and difficult to understand. The contract did not say anything that the machine would not be set up so I expected them to do it. After struggling with the machine set up we realized that it was broken and it did not frozen so it was a total failure at the party.
On top of that they also delivered a snow cone machine that was dirty and the container for the color were broken so we run out really fast of the color.
I called the company several time and they did not get back to me. Finally we were lucky to get somebody on the phone and it was a waste of my time because they basically did not care and they refused to give me a refund.
I totally do not recommend this company for any rental at least you are in a desperate mode.

HORRIBLE!!! DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! I reserved a helium tank which was suppose to arrive at 9am. Ten o’clock came and it still was not delivered. The website does not state that there is a delivery window of an hour for a helium tank. Owner was very rude and unapologetic. Told me I was being «unreasonable» because I wanted my money back. Refused a refund, and now I’m disputing it with my bank.

I opted for a jumper and generator from Comic Jumpers for my kid’s 3^rd birthday on August 23.
shortly after the party started and the kids started playing on the jumper the generator which powered the jumper (which I rented from them along with the Jumper) failed and whole thing collapsed on top of the kid. It was really scary. kids were crying inside and we struggled to pull them out of it.
I did not have their customer service number handy (my first mistake) so I called the number of their employee who installed it for us. He was out in san jose and said he could not help. I asked him if he can ask one of their person to help us to bring it to work again and he said he would let his supervisor know and someone from there will call me. In the mean time some of the guys around helped us to turn on the generator again and the jumper was inflated. But the kids were too scared to play again.
In the mean time someone from comic jumps called me and apologized about the issue and told me he would send someone across to check. Just when he hung up the call the generator stopped working and the jumper deflated again.
By this time we were at out wit’s end and gave up on it. None called us back or no help came from them later.
Now the best part.
On the next day I called their number to complain about the issue and ask for a refund. To my horror they were defensive and accusing me for the problem. Their logic was that it was all my fault because
1. Generators are electric and they may fail, jumpers deflate, kids get scared, party gets ruined these are normal there is nothing much to complain about.
2. I did not have their contract in my hand during the party to go through it and follow the steps mentioned in it (by the way it does not say anything about the what to do when generator fails) and not behave like people generally do
3. I broke their contract by NOT calling the number in the contract instead called their employee who installed it for me. Their employees are not at all equipped to
a. Help me out in case something like this happens
b. To direct me to call their customer care number
4. I forgot to note down the exact time the mishap happened so they are not sure if I am telling the truth or not.
5. The jumper was installed at 5 and we started the party around at 5:30. So I was late to my party (not sure why they think that is relevant to the issue).
On a serious note, The least I was expecting from them was some courtesy and willingness to hear me out. On the contrary what I got was accusation. I would never want to do business with them again. I would recommend everyone to stay away from them as this is something that affect your kid and the guest’s kids safety.

I reserved a jumpy house for my daughters birthday which is August 30^th on their site on August 4^th. On August 5^th they sent me a contract for the wrong amount. I emailed and told them to adjust per the coupon on their site. They didn’t! On August 9^th they charged my CC for the full amount. Mind you I RESERVED the jumpy house and NEVER signed the agreement/​contract. I went to cancel the reservation on August 10^th only to get Kathy/Katie’s attitude saying I couldn’t get my money back. I could get a credit. I want my money back. What kind of company doesn’t provide a refund for services/​goods that are not delivered when a customer cancels with 3 weeks notice?!!
Dear Mo– When you respond to this «review» it will be to say that your processing my refund.
BTW the 1 star is from the bottom of my heart!

This was my first time to rent a jumper and it was a pleasant experience. Comic Jumps called ahead to confirm reservation, called the day of to advise their schedule and arrived on time. Staff (all around) was very professional and easy to work with. Prices were also fair for the quality of product and service provided.
I had initially selected a jumper that wasn’t quite right for my party, but during the reservation confirmation, the staff member helped me to find the one that was right. It ended up being perfect!
Will definitely recommend and also use again for future parties.

Do not ever rent from this company.
I had a birthday more than a month ago, in the park specifically. The time of the event is 11am to 4 pm. Its 12 pm and not a shadow of them is to be seen. I called the office 30 mins to 11,(because i need to set up), and said, they are on their way. Liars!
At 12:15pm they arrived. Put down all tables, chairs, balloons, the jumper.
1. Tables: clearly on the order form, i asked for 8 tables, but only delivered 7. **
2. Balloons: they doesnt look beautiful, they seem like it was not inflated much. Dollar tree has better balloons.
3 .The jumper. I asked for «Princess Jumper» –they delivered a plain bounce house with no design.**
**Tables cost $ 10 each. They never refunded one. It was missing one.
**I was charged $ 119 for the“supposed” princess jumper. But since it was missing the art panel, they did not refunded the difference.
The driver’s name was Victor, and he clearly mentioned he will take care of it.
They were also late in picking up the stuff.
I called to follow up, multiple times, but NEVER returned my calls.
Do yourself a favor; save your time, energy, and money!

Comic Jumps was a big disappointment. We rented a bounce house from them for my sons 5^th birthday party. Needless to say he was so excited. Shortly after the house was set up and before the party started the generator stopped working and the house deflated. The company was non responsive to our calls so never got the jump house working again. Almost as upsetting, they refused to provide any refund despite photographic evidence of a very disappointed set of kids.

Simply Horrible! Comic Jumps is pure comedy when delivering your jump house and tables on time. The jump house was 45 minutes late and the tables were an hour and a half late. Not cool when you have a bunch of people eating and serving food on the floor! I have also called them 3 times and sent the an email twice for a refund and I still haven’t got a response from the owner /​management. There are better options out there, I suggest using them. I also blame myself for not reading these reviews prior.
Update: Thanks for the reply Mo L. but you must have me confused with another dissatisfied customer. The hour window was from 10:00am to 11:00am and the bounce house was not there until 11:45. Since you forgot the tables we had to wait an additional 45 minutes until the tables arrived. Plus you never gave me a refund of any kind. I will include the email I wrote to you since Unilocal is the only way to get an answer from you.
I am writing this email because I have left two messages with your employees and the manager has still not called me back. I have called to complain that the jump house and tables that I ordered for the day of February 15, 2015 was late. The order stated that the tables, chairs and a jump house would arrive at Precita Park in San Francisco between the hours of 10:00am and 11:00 am. The party for my daughter started at 11:00am so the timing would have been perfect. Unfortunately, the jump house and chairs arrived approximately 45 minutes after the promised delivery time and on top of that, the driver did not have the tables that were on the order. According to his manifest — the tables were not listed but according to my order there should have been 4 tables. The driver called your office and had another driver deliver the 4 tables. While we waited another 45 minutes for the tables to arrive, we had to set up the food and the birthday cake on the ground. As you can imagine this caused a huge inconvenience to our guests. We appreciate that the driver came an hour after the scheduled pick up time but our guests had already left and it does not change the fact that our guests were without a bounce house for 45 minutes and 4 tables for an hour and a half. I have paid you in full and have followed every part of the contract. Your company was late on delivery, did not follow the contract and has failed to have the manager call me back after several messages left with your office. I am seeking some sort of refund due to your breach of contract and for the inconvenience to our guests.
Please contact me as soon as possible.

The jump house is nice, just as advertised. That would be the only reason to give them more than 1 star. But the people who run this operation clearly don’t understand customer service.
They advertise on Groupon to rent out their bounce houses that has fine print that says «Up to 8 hours.» Fine, it can be a variable drop off time; I understand that. However, When they give you a variable drop off time of two hours and a variable pick up time of 2 hours and then always drop off at the end of the window and pick up at the beginning of the window then you are only getting 4 hours. Half of the «Up to» amount.
Understandably upset we call and talk to the company and the lady tells us «sorry, it says up to 8 hours. No remorse, no cooperation. Then when we asked the driver if he can make sure he comes later but he says «sorry I have a schedule to keep. But I hope you will still give me a tip because I am just the driver and not the person who makes the schedule.» So here we are after thinking we might have a jump house for the day, we get one for a few hours and with zero concern for customer service from the office or the driver. This to me wreaks of people who are intentionally trying to rip people off. I wouldn’t be complaining if the Groupon had said 4 hour rental.
Well, in the end I have just two things to say…
Driver? You want a tip? Here is your tip. Complain to your company that you don’t get tips because they are squeezing people on both ends.
Comic Jumps? Unilocal Allows up to 5 stars.
Avoid this place if you can.

Comic Jumps is my go-​to jumper house rental place, so the reviews here baffle me, to say the least.
I first used them for my children’s 2^nd and 4^th birthday, in 2012. They came early, and actually left the bouncer for more than the 8 hours I paid for. It was a huge hit, and the delivery drivers were great and very professional.
The second time I used them, it was for my husband’s 40^th birthday, summer 2014. We rented a combo bouncer as before, as well as a margarita machine. Unfortunately, we never got the margarita machine to freeze, but the driver inspected it and said it didn’t seem to be our fault and that he would talk to the owner. I called to follow up and after a brief investigation he offered me a credit, which I took, as I knew I would book with them again. As before, the drivers were professional, and the bouncer exceeded our expectations.
The third time I used them, it was at the end of the summer, for my children’s 4^th and 6^th birthday (so essentially that first party redux). It was absolutely hassle-​free booking the bouncer with the credit from the previous party, and my experience was as good as any of my others.
I’m now looking to book with them again. They have earned my trust through repeated positive experiences.

Well, I used them again, and STILL NO PROBLEMS.
They brought the bouncy house early, and no problems. They set it up. No problems. They arrived in the rain and took it down quietly, no drama.
I just can’t figure out what the problem is here. Maybe I’m just lucky.

Horrible. Unprofessional. Run, don’t walk away from this company. Horrible customer service. Rude. They don’t answer the phone. They don’t call back after messages left.
I reserved a bounce house for my sons birthday. I called to «confirm» shortly before his party and the had no record of my reservation. Then they wouldn’t even help me make up for it! They said they were sold out.
I ended up hiring a different company last minute and was so satisfied!
RUN away as fast as you can! RUN!!!

I used Comic Jumps once before, and just as before, they were great to work with. The liability contract was taken care of online when we ordered, they were accommodating when I made changes to the order, and Michael showed up on time for dropoff and pickup.
My daughter was *thrilled* with her Disney princess bounce house.
There was one minor hiccup — they discovered this morning that one of the canopies I ordered was broken, so Michael showed up one canopy short. I called the office, and they said they will refund us for the item they couldn’t deliver.
One note of caution though — it’s tempting to reserve a little more equipment than you think you need, figuring you could always scale back if you get fewer RSVPs than you expect for your party. Comic Jumps does not issue refunds if the customer changes the order. Not even if you tell them over 7 days in advance. They’ll issue a credit that can be used for e.g. balloons, but once the money is spent, it’s spent, and it’s not coming back. …and I get it, equipment gets reserved and they then can’t reserve it for someone else, but it was still a surprise I wasn’t happy about.
Also, if you use Groupon, check the fine print. It’s not valid on Saturdays, but they will leverage the face value of the coupon so it’s not like you lose money.
Overall, our party today was a blast. Good experience with these guys.
…and referencing the many complaints registered here by other customers, no, I wasn’t paid to say that, I’m a genuine customer. I had a Groupon and everything. I’ll even post our pictures.

We had our daughter’s 2^nd bday party at McLaren park this weekend and the park only allowed a short list of vendors for jump house. I contacted the list and got to comic jump house.
The website was very straightforward. When I emailed the contact person, I was even instructed to look closer on the website for a coupon (which I did take advantage of).
On the day of the party, the driver called 15mins before arrival and we had arranged for a pick up time. He was right on the dot with the pick up time and the party went by without a glitch.
The jump house was roomy and clean.
I recommend this rental place!

HOLY COW! did you know there are 252 reviews for this company that are NOT included in the rating?! and they are pretty much ALL ONE STAR! TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY TWO!!! PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! the best part is the owner keeps linking to these 252 reviews saying «see how many 5 star reviews we got!» um… the one star is actually bad, not good…
I have contacted you several times regarding my experience and have not received any response. I rented a jump house on June 14, I requested it for 10am. the confirmation came and it said it would be there by 11. they showed up at 12:30. the bounce house deflated THREE times while we had it. the delivery guy said he would pick it up later since he was an hour and a half late. it was supposed to be picked up at 4. he came at 4:15.
when I was waiting for the house to be delivered I called several times in the morning. no one answered my phone. my friend suggested I have her call, since you were probably avoiding my number knowing that you wouldn’t be prompt with your service. she called from her number and you picked up on the first ring. she spoke to you and was promised a discount/​refund. now you say you never spoke to her.
I have phone records from all the calls that were made. I will NEVER use your service again and will make sure to tell all my friends/​family not to use you as well.

BEWARE! We rented a very large interactive jumper from this company for a toddler party. It continuously collapsed on the children. When it finally trapped the kids inside and they were screaming for their lives, we turned off the pumps and shut it down.
The installer apologized and said to call management to reiterate that it was a safety hazard and to get my money back. The woman on the phone would not comply, suggested I «probably messed with it» and broke it myself. SO. just so you know, there is a very unsafe jump castle at this company that they will be using at more parties until it finally ends up on the news. Careful with your children. Please. Our party was terrifying.
Our kids were 4 – 5 years old and this Mega Jumper (5 in 1) couldn’t support the weight of even a handful of 35−40lb little kids.

I Do not recommend using this place. Chairs and tables were disgustingly dirty and cracked. Called them and advise that I would not be using the chairs and to send a driver back to pick them up, they refused to do it or give me a refund. 15 out if 22 chairs were cracked and unsafe for toddlers to use.
Jumper was also dirty and to top it off the driver showed 2 hours before the scheduled time to pick up the equipment.
Avoid using them.
