I procrastinated and hired my movers at the last minute, and Prodigy came through, big time. Abby was very helpful on the phone and setting up the move was a snap. Since I was moving from one studio to another and I didn’t have much to move, I was hoping that I wouldn’t have to burn a PTO day, and I needed the move to take two hours or less. Noah, Hipolito, and Douglas came through in spades, finishing easily under two hours. I unpacked this weekend, and nothing was missing or damaged, so I give Prodigy my highest recommendation.

This is the second time we have used Prodigy to help with a move and I will go nowhere else in the future and have recommended them to others who are moving.
Abby has helped coordinate both times on the phone, explained the process, set schedules, and provide all the details.
Gabriel coordinated the crew both times and everything went flawlessly. They take time to carefully wrap items, move, and unload. In two moves, we have only had 1 wine glass break out of all of our possessions.
Best, is that they all work hard and are help to make the move easier.

This is the third time my family or I have used Prodigy and, each time, our experience has been very positive. Our movers, Carlos #2, Frank, and Osbin, were pleasant and professional. As another reviewer said, they were both quick and careful — not sure how they do that! Also, as another reviewer said, don’t assume that you can get some task of your own done while they are loading up, because they always seem to be done more quickly than you would expect. At the same time, if there is some kind of situation that requires thought (an item that requires special packing, etc.), they stop and take the time to thoughtfully discuss it with us.
Price was good, plus we purchased the coupon on Unilocal.Nothing was damaged. If I need a mover in the future, I will definitely use Prodigy.

Prodigy did an excellent job for me during my recent move. Hector and his team worked fast and treated all of my stuff with the utmost care. Veronica also made it easy to coordinate everything and followed up with a phone call to make sure I was satisfied. Overall, a great deal — especially when you add in the extra Unilocal coupon I got!

I emailed Prodigy Moving to get a quote on our move from West LA to Thousand Oaks. Received a call back from Abby Kruper within a couple of hours! As they and one other were the top rated movers on Unilocal,I gave Prodigy the nod due to their quick response to me. Boy was that a smart move! Abby was terrific explaining the process, and followed up a day later to be sure we were satisfied. I’m sorry I can only give the crew 5 stars here, they were a 7 star team! Hector was in charge, and Escobar, Juan (#2?) and Ipolito rounded out the team. What a great bunch of guys. Fast, efficient, and friendly. Wrapped all my furniture in blankets AND shrink wrapped everything. These guys never stopped working the entire day until they told me they were going to take a 15 minute break and stressed that we wouldn’t be charged for the time! I had an idea in my head what the final cost would be, and figured it would end up a few hundred more. There were zero added charges, just as Abby promised. Hector sat down with me and reviewed everything. Gave us 5% off for paying in cash. Moving is always so stressful, and these guys made it easy for us. Do yourself a favor and move with Prodigy and tell them I sent you!!!

I have never used a moving service before and I can say I am now spoiled! Everyone involved did such a great job! Jose, Hector and Walter all were very respectful and packed everything in an efficient matter. We worked with Veronica Romero, which my boyfriend had mentioned talking to her that she was knowledgable and had a friendly demeanor and he had been access Hector and
The movers were on time and got everything done in 3 hours, thank goodness! Charged us about $ 300 or so, I did buy the Unilocal deal as well $ 20 for $ 50… so a $ 30 deal… which basically broke even as I left a tip as well.
They took apart our bed and put it together perfectly! They wrapped up all our furniture and made sure everything had been protected. We saw no damage. The truck they used was massive! We could have fit another apartment full of stuff.
I can say this had been a overall success and I can see myself using them again.

From the very first phone call Abby was very helpful giving me details about long distance move and storage up to 30 days for free. I called 10 different companies and Prodigy had the best price by far, I ended up spending 1⁄3 of what others companies were asking.
Very smooth move and service, Abby accommodated the long distance move on the next day I said I was able to receive my stuff, I would choose them again!

Let me preface this by saying i have had to move five times within the city in the last few years, the unfortunate fallout from one of our dreaded Ellis Act stories that plaster SFGate with regularity. As we all know, moving when by choice is stressful and really difficult, let alone when it is necessitated by someone else.
As a result, I was looking to make my move as seamless and smooth as possible, and I have learned that it is best to just pay the premium to minimize the stress. The last company I used, hoping this would be the case, was $ 500+ for a small one bedroom in town move and went way over the time they had quoted me. I vowed never again, and began asking around for a better solution.
I found it with Prodigy — they were on time, efficent, friendly, professional, kept it under the quoted time, and were far less expensive than the last movers I used for roughly the same job.
I recommend them highly.

It is my second time using Prodigy. Veronica was very courteous and helpful with scheduling the appointment and providing a quote. The crew showed up on time on the moving date. The foreman Gabriel runs a tight ship. The crew had 4 people, and they were very efficient and fast. They moved all my stuff (1-​bedroom plus living room) and drove 40 miles all under 4 hours. I will use them again in the future!

This was our third move with Prodigy during the the last 6 years – and our third move directed by Gabriel and his crew. Once again we had a terrific experience with Prodigy.
Abby and the office crew were so knowledgeable and so easy to work with. They understood what we needed and made it work. When I explained that we needed to make two stops, Abby added a 4th helper that actually reduced the cost of the move by reducing the time required to pack everything into the van.
Gabriel and his crew showed up on time as before – ready to work. His crew never wasted a moment, wrapped our goods in protective covers and cardboard, and then expertly packed our goods into the van. Without any hesitation or complaint they made a stop at our other house to swap out a living room set. Gabriel constantly checked with us if he was doing what we wanted and at the end delivered our belongings to a 10×15 foot storage locker and professionally packed the entire load for us. Wow!

From the booking process with Abby to working with Carlos and his team, the entire process was smooth, organized and professional.
They showed up on time (actually slightly early!!! ;)), disassembled and assembled my furniture and worked quickly and there was no damage or loss of items.

I am so happy I went with Prodigy Moving and Storage. I was shopping around and found various quotes, some that were too expensive and some that couldn’t accommodate my moving date and wanted me to change. Prodigy from the get go was very helpful. Veronica Romero was very professional, answered all my questions and was able to accommodate my special request of having one item dropped off at one place and the other items moved to the final stop. Just as we discussed, the crew arrived between the time window designated and finished before my time was up. Gabriel and his team were fast, on point and took care of my items. I couldn’t believe how fast they worked, disassembling the furniture and later assembling it at the final destination! Very professional and very friendly too!
I would definitely use Prodigy for my next move. Keep up the good work. I am very pleased. It shows how great of a company they are by seeing their reviews.

They have always been very punctual, very professional. It’s impressive seeing how quickly they do their work.

Every now and then you come across a service so amazing it compels you to get off your lazy ass and leave a review.
As common for transient millennial a, I needed to move from La to SF quickly. I didn’t have too much stuff in my 1 bdrm, and prodigy quotes me 895 per 2000 lbs ! Twice the weight limit of any other moving company. They also did not charge for stairs !
The crews were amazing, and took apart my furniture and packed within 1 hour, and then put it back together in 1 hour after climbing 4 stairs.
Hector and Gabby helped me through the whole process. The normal delivery window is up to 14 days but my stuff arrived in 3. All in all, for only 400 extra that Uhaul or Penske (less, pretty much break even if you don’t have friends who can unload your stuff for you as packers and unpackers cost about 150 to 200 $) this company is by far the best option for moving. I called every company on Unilocal ! Thanks so much for the amazing service

We just moved from SoCal to NorCal. We have used Prodigy Movers for our last 3 moves and I will use no one else. They are the best!!! The care and commitment shown by every employee I’ve encountered at Prodigy is simply outstanding. I am not a big Unilocaler, but Prodigy is truly a remarkable company so I had to share.
Prior to these moves, we’ve always had company-​paid relocations using nationally-​known movers. These moves cost a fortune (for the company), and were chaotic and frequently contentious (missing and broken items.)
Since we finally had to pay for our own move, I researched extensively for both reliability and price. Prodigy was one of only 4 movers willing to send out a rep (Illya) to the house to bid on our move. Their «not more than» price was fairly competitive with the others, but they were the only ones who were totally realistic about the amount of time, # of men, and equipment that would be required for a smooth move. Illya was also super upfront about what protections and rights you have as a customer in CA — who knew?!
Most importantly, the crew!!! WOW! Martin has been the Crew Chief for all 3 of our moves, per my request. He is amazing!!! This man has got to be one of the hardest working humans I have ever encountered! There is literally nothing Martin won’t do to get your stuff where you want it — safe and sound! He is a terrific leader, willing to take on any challenge and his crew just follows his lead. He also has an incredible memory and attention to details. He and his crew are always upbeat and miraculously make a move as fun as a move can be — NOT an easy feat!
I really cannot say enough good things about these guys. So, if you treasure your things as much as I treasure mine, Prodigy Movers will not disappoint!

NorCal to SoCal and more stuff than I could comfortably move myself.
Searching the Internet for movers and seeing costs and complications quickly overwhelmed me.
I filled out a generic form for movers to reach out to me with quotes.
The styles in which companies contact you and what info they provide quickly thins the competition. Prodigy rose above the rest with their sales style, reputation and affordability.
Abby, the customer service rep, was available without being pushy in the decision-​making period. She was generous with detailed information on messages and emails — she didn’t make me call her back to speak face to face so she could «sell» me.
When I was ready to hire Prodigy she was quick with responses and actions and was a great problem solver. I had a finicky HOA to deal with and she never made me feel high-​maintenance as I asked for signatures and forms and special timing.
Day of the pick up Gabriel and his crew were punctual and professionally friendly. I love how each of the movers introduced themselves and shook my hand. The space they were moving some items from was crowded and they plotted their movements and were careful & respectful. They suggested and helped wrap some items that needed special care. I felt very comfortable sending some of my favorite belongings off with them to meet me in LA a couple of weeks later.
Marcos and his team arrived exactly on time on the day we scheduled. This move included an elevator and some tight corners and the unpacking of the items. They helped place the large items and removed all trash when they left. Friendly and very efficient. My HOA rep who had to supervise the move couldn’t believe how effortless it was.
I was nervous about moving these beloved items and I really wanted to stay within a certain dollar amount. With Prodigy I had a very successful experience and a very successful move. I would use again and I highly recommend.
