I never go to this location! Let me say — WOW! What a stark contrast to all the other locations Downtown! The 711 I usually frequent on 9th& J Street is well-known for always being packed with pretentious Downtown yuppies, upscale businessmen, and show-off clubgoers flashing all the bling. Not so at this location! This location was packed to the brim with talkative trailer park aficionados, cocaine and meth enthusiasts, women with VERYINTERESTINGANDARCHITECTURALLYINNOVATIVE hair weaves, and every type of baby stroller and shopping cart ever. In fact, on my way to the cash register, I had to do an athletic lunge to hand the cashier my card(BONUSFREEABDOMINALWORKOUT!), because there was a shopping cart blocking the ATM machine. Who knew they had shopping carts inside 711?! The fashion scene was very on point! I had never seen such intriguing and creative summer outfits since last year’s Dazed And Confused magazine Spring/Summer fashion issue. One young lady — with a very fit body, and a thick country accent — even pranced around barefoot in what appeared to be self-made daisy dukes and the tiniest halter top I had ever seen in my life. I wish she would custom-make some daisy dukes for me! If you have any friends visiting San Diego, take them to this 711 location immediately!!! The San Diego Zoo may have raised their membership prices to unaffordable new highs, but for a total cost of $ 1.99 this national treasure offers you both a sightseeing extravaganza AND four Doritos Loaded cheesy nuggets! Where else in San Diego will you find that sort of deal?! (The Doritos Loaded cheesy nuggets are really good, in case you were wondering.)

It’s a 7 – 11. Looks like it draws a shady crowd. The selection is a bit smaller than most other 7 – 11’s. I stopped by late night so I’m assuming it’s 24 – 7.

I have to update my rating to 3 stars since they now carry wine & beer. It’s funny though how they lock it up with chains before 10am. I come here every day for a snack. They still don’t carry my favorite dark chocolate but that’s probably a good thing being that it’s my biggest addiction.

I also go to this 7 – 11 because it’s right down a block from work so it’s super convenient, but it’s littered with beggars and homeless. They have been out of big gulp cups for over a week now, forcing you into getting the super big gulp which almost requires a weight belt for lifting. It’s always an adventure in there whether your going to have a homeless person eating ketchup packets, to some random person trying to microwave their clothes??? The employees are nice enough, I don’t know how anyone could smile working there. They try to keep it clean, although in that place it could never be enough. They try, it’s just bad location…

No booze at this 7−11− I think the one in Golden Hill is the only one that sells liquor. This location, right off of Park and Market, is a favorite for the homeless to be sprawled in front of– not that I have a problem with that– I’m just saying. The selection of goods on offer at this place is minimal– I remember being relieved that they actually carried cranberry juice.
