History

Established in 2012.

Shawna Suffriti ran her own wedding photography studio when she lived on Cape Cod in Massachusetts. Photographing couples and families in the beautiful cozy New England towns and beaches.

Adam Baruh was shooting weddings under his own name here in Southern California at this same time.

When Shawna moved to California almost two years ago she met Adam, and cameras weren’t the only only thing that clicked ;)

They now own and run Adam and Shawna Photography and are also getting married in Italy in October of 2012.

Not long after we started seeing each other, Adam left to go to Spain and Italy for two weeks. He had booked himself a couple of fancy hotel rooms throughout the trip and it was the first time Shawna realized this partnership could get interesting. If she had planned the trip, we’d be staying at $ 5 dollar hostels and strapping on a backpack instead of lugging around a suitcase.

Despite our differing preferences in how we traveled, we realized traveling isn’t about where you stay or what you pack, it’s about the experience of being outside of your element that makes it so incredible.

It’s clear we were meant for each other!

While in New York to shoot a wedding, Adam hatched the idea to propose to Shawna. He bought a ring and planned to pop the question on our last night in New York. We got dressed up to see a Broadway show and hailed a taxi to the theatre. For the rest of this love story go to our «About Us» page on our website :)
