Allure at Scripps Ranch

Amazing place to stay! Very beautiful and relaxing. Manager and employees are very respectful and Carlos is very great at his job and very caring. I would give it a 10 if there was a Sauna only thing it’s missing

My family and I just moved about 3 weeks ago, I can not say enough about how great Zach and Carlos have been. They took the stress out of my move by being so organized and efficient.
The apartments are kept very nice and in a great area. I am very pleased with this move. Only thing that bothers me a bit is that some people don’t clean up after there pets, but I just received and notice that they are starting to get a bit more strict about that so that’s great.
Anyone thinking of moving here you won’t be disappointed just call and ask for Zach he is great

We just moved to Allure and have been very pleased. Zach was very helpful when we first moved in and the grounds are nice. This complex is in a great location and we love being able to walk to Trader Joe’s. There were a few minor issues with the apartment, but they were quickly resolved. Carlos in maintenance is super nice and accommodating. He was able to fix the issues in a timely manner. Our neighbors have been friendly as well, and we love that Allure is pet friendly.

The property is awesome. The amenities are top notch. I have lived here for a few years. There have been managers and leasing agents come and go. Zach is the best. He is friendly and extremely helpful. If the guest parking was better I would give 5 stars

My fiancé and I have been living at Allure for about four years now. One of our favorite apartment complexes. Beautiful apartments and you cannot beat the area. The staff is great! Especially Zach, he has been taking care us for a while now. Always has a smile whenever we see him and is more than willing to helps us out with anything we may need.

I’ve lived here for almost 2 years. It was a great place to land after a life change. This community is quiet, welcoming, and conveniently located within walking distance of great restaurants. The staff at Allure are professional and responsive especially Carlos and the maintenance crew.

The office staff and maintenance crew at Allure Scripps Ranch have made me feel so completely welcome in my new apartment home. I am overwhelmed by how friendly and responsive they all are, and the amenities are top-​notch. My kids and I absolutely love the pool area, and the gym is a great place for me to get in a good workout after a long day. We have also gotten spoiled by walking out the back gate to Trader Joe’s and restaurants without having to drive. The whole complex is quiet, peaceful and beautiful, aside from being freeway close and centrally located. This new apartment experience is head and shoulders above any other that I have had in my entire adult life. I’m looking forward to lots of fun times this Spring and Summer with my kids and friends out by the pool.

We are a cute little family of three, who love living in our cozy Essex apartment. We really enjoy and appreciate our community, and it is such a good feeling to call our place home!

Allure is awsome it’s the dog owners that live there and cannot pick up their dogs shit, that suck so bad! I really hope some one that fits this shoe, reads this and will talk to me. I spent that last 30 mins cleaning dog shit off of my shoe and not because i took the path less traveled, i stayed on the side walk the whole time. What upsets me is that people cannot be grown ass adults and clean up after themselves. I just wonder what it takes for people to be considerate human beings? I would be happy to discuss right and wrong at any time with the people that own dogs and cannot take the time and energy to grab a free bad and bend down to pick up their dogs shit! I know we pay an additional $ 50 per month for pets but that does not give us the freedom of leaving this stuff all over. If i find someone leaving their dog shit on the ground here, i will have my 5 month old baby shit on your door step!

Today my fiancé and I scheduled a viewing at Allure and were provided with exceptional customer service from the very first phone call! When making the appt, I spoke to a lovely woman named Karen. She assisted me with setting up a time that worked best for me and provided me with not only all the information I needed, but even a personable and friendly phone call. She asked me about my wedding coming up and even commented on my dog’s name! Above and beyond!
THEN when we got to the viewing, we were greeted by a man named Zak. He made us feel right at home! Zak was very professional, accommodating, and just a joy to be around. He was able to answer any and all questions we had (and we had a lot, lol)
These two staff members and their exceptional service was what helped us reach our final decision regarding the property, and spoiler alert, the decision was a good one!
Thank you Karen and Zak, you made our apt. hunting experience a pleasure. Keep up the good work :)

I just want to thank everybody in Allure (now BRE), I just moved out after 3 years because of getting a place closer to work, this is the place to be in San Diego, from management to all the staff they are all GREAT, they treat you with respect, and meet or exceed your needs when you make a request. Management in this place is excellent, no wonder everybody is happy working there, the property is always super clean, tenants are nice to each other, facilities are always well kept and up to date, and maintenance is superb! all my request were always answered within 24 hrs or less, and done perfectly the first time, no need for follow ups, if you are looking for a nice upscale place to live in San Diego, this is it! BRE at Scripps Ranch is the BEST.

I have called this place my home the past year. The staff are so helpful, always smiling, and cares about residence concerns. The maintenance staff Carlos always stops and says hello and asks if there is anything I ever needed. I have only had to contact maintenance a couple of times, and the response is very quick and always completed. The pool, the apartment, gym and facilities are gorgeous and up to date. I would absolutely continue to live here but my rent was increased to an amount I am unable to afford at this time. However I am moving to another one of their properties. The only complaint
I have about allure is the pet situation. There are as many pets as people. Pet owners do not adhere to the signs of designated pet areas, and do not pick up after their dogs. They should designate certain buildings for pet owners.
If there was a way I would definitely stay!!!

Let me just lead with this: Anthony Melendez, you’re the best! Its not often you find people who are truly passionate about the work they do, luckily, Anthony, the leasing agent, was the first person to greet me when I walked into Allure almost two years ago, and I’m grateful for it.
OK, PREAMBLE: This is a long and possibly extremely detailed review. Ive added a synopsis at the end, that’s a bit more to the point.

So, if you’re looking for somewhere safe, and family friendly, you’ve come to the right place.
THE COMPLEX:
I remember driving around the other apartment complexes in Scripps ranch (not a lot to choose from, as there are mostly single family homes. A lot of the places I looked at either looked and felt old, or were trying desperately hard to be «modern.»
When I drove upon this beauty, I remember thinking «no way I can afford this.» Prompted by my girlfriend who was helping me with my search, I proceeded in anyway, and I’m glad I did. Anthony, the leasing agent, greeted my friend and I very warmly and promptly showed us the «The Magnolia.»
The Magnolia I ended up leasing was on the top floor, has

During the tour, I tried really had o act unimpressed, but there is no way to look at this place and not let out an audible «WOW.»
The best part? I happened to walk in on a Move-​in Special weekend, and scored what i would thence refer to as the «Penthouse Suite» for only $ 1795/​month with a $ 200 deposit.
Yup, it was a steal! *happy dance*
But wait, there is more!
–Olympic sized salt water pool? Check
–Movie theatre room, with POPCORN MACHINE? Check
–Start of the art (recently renovated gym? yup
–Computer lab/​business center complete with printer and fax machine? Beats kinkos!
–Garage? yup!
–Gated complex plus security patrol? You betcha!
–Rentable Clubhouse with refundable deposit? mhmm
–Sunday night football for residents and friends at the clubhouse? yessir
–Cooking classes every thursday evening from professional chef? dude!
PLUS: Walking distance from My favourite grocer, TRADER JOES, the best Sushi spot in Scripps Ranch: Kappa Sushi, The United state post office, a great threading salon, Java mamas (coffee shop for mommies. or daddies– great playdate spot btw), I could go on forever.
LAKE MIRAMAR is a mile south off scripps ranch blvd, as is the library, and the elementary school. A mile north off scripps ranch blvd takes you to a pretty sweet playground/​park, with awesome views of the city.
The miramar USMC base is just a few exits away off the 15n/​15s ramp– which is also a mile way.
Not to mention HMART, Old Navy, Barnes and Nobles, In and Out, target, home depot, Bed bath and beyond… i could go on forever.
SYNOPSIS:
The complex is well maintained, and clean. Maintenance, headed by Angel and Carlos, are always prompt to reply to any maintenance emergency you might have.
The community is quiet. The residents are respectful and friendly, and are a good mix of families, young professionals and some military personnel.
The apartments are new, well built, quiet, posh and luxurious. Feels a bit swanky, which is right up my alley. If you can, get a place on the top floor, and I bet you wont have one visitor walk in and not say, «whoa!»
All in all, I really enjoyed living here and would strongly recommend this community to anyone in search of a place to call home.
I should add, considering the amenities this place offers, I would say the rent is fairly priced, especially considering the location, amenities, square footage and floorplans. In my search, I toured other complexes in the area (the jefferson, carmel summit, carmel landing, cresta bella) I found them to be similarly priced, in some cases even more expensive, but incomparable, by far. This place is really «Luxury well done.»

With pleasure I will share with you my story and experience and then you decide on your own whether you want to live there.
I lived at this apartment for 8 months with my husband. We had to break our lease because after 4 visits to the ER and all of sudden I had allergies and several asthma attacks that now I suffer forever because of this crappy place!
One night at about 11 pm a maintenance guy showed up at our house telling us our water heater was leaking all over downstairs. If the neighbor downstairs didn’t complain, we would have never knew. It was a rainy season and who knew our water heater was leaking. So the maintenance guy helped my husband remove all the stuff that was in that closet that was destroyed and said the following day he will have it replaced. Not a problem, little did we know there was tons of mold growing all over the place and no one ever cleaned it up. After several asthma attacks, my husband and I ended up sleeping in our living room on the air mattress for few days and we couldn’t figure out what was going on. Finally, I brought this to my stepdad who has a PhD in Toxicology. He recommended to get the place tested. We googled online everywhere looking for a professional to come, we had a gentlemen of many many many years that came in and tested our bedroom, outside of our door air and water heater room. As soon as he came in he told me right away how could I breath in this house and he took pictures of the water heater room that had lots of mold spread everywhere. He also asked me if I sleep with my door to the balcony open and I said yes. Turns out for every time I had my door open, my lungs and health were getting damaged. He told me not to worry and that the apartment should reimbursement for the fee i just paid to get all of this tested and they should take care of this. Ha! Now let me tell you how this community handled it!
We brought all the reports to their attention, the maintenance guy who knew it’s his fault came in my house without taking his shoes off and told me not to worry they will fix it and I can stay in the house while they fix it. Jeez! I went back to the main office where I found out we now had a new manager and it was her 1^st day. I get it but part of being a manager is taking care of your residence. They offered us to stay at a hotel and pay for our dinner that evening and that the following day we could go back to our home and everything should be fine. My husband was very upset, because I just spent 4 times at the ER, got asthma and allergies because of this place and all they can do is this. Funny enough, we took pictures of this lovely place before and after. Do you know what’s amusing? They simply repainted the toxic mold. The downstairs neighbor that I am pretty sure still lives there never got checked for their balcony (and I am betting their balcony is in worse condition than ours since the water heater leaked all over their walls and balcony) and once we moved out someone else looks like moved in our place. Yes, we ended up breaking our contract and moving to a way better place. We wanted to get away from this place as soon as possible that this was the quickest move we ever had! In two nights we packed our stuff and got the hell out of there. I had many asthma attacks while packing all our stuff but we made it. I can’t say my health got better, I’ve been treated and under the eye of a doctor still. I also want to warn you before you sign a contract with these «fabulous people» read every little detail. After this happened, we reviewed our contract and they actually have a page one mold and etc how they will not be responsible for it.
Now about the move out process, we cleaned this house up. In fact it looked better than when we moved in. Guess who got to go over the final inspection? The maintenance guy who knew he was in big trouble about not taking care of the mold situation and let it go for a while, so he decided to mark up that final inspection like crazy. It took several calls to the fabulous new manager who’s 1^st priority was her staff and not her residence to really take a look at everything was written up. I still have pictures and videos of how we left this place. Oh and then the time Carlos, the maintenance guy was supposed to show up for his final inspection he was late, so one of the leasing agents (for the sake of her I won’t mention her name) decided they will make a quick call even though the whole time i was there and claim I was the one late for my appointment. When I confronted her she tells me she needs documentation of everything! Buncha liers! All these people care about is their money and not their residents! Nor the safety or well being of their residence. These people disgust me!
Honestly, out of all that staff that’s out there if you still want to rent a place out there, your best bet is to go to Anthony. He’s the only honest one there.

30 minutes until closing and my boyfriend and I stroll on in. We weren’t denied and we weren’t treated unfairly because of that. The manager on duty was more than kind to work out some kinks and Anthony was more than joyous to show us around without us feeling like we were rushed. He took his time, gave us some great advice and it really felt like he cared about his residents. Allure has always been one of my favorite apartment complex in Scripps. Although it is a bit pricy, I can see why residents wouldn’t mind paying the extra buck for some of the wonderful amenities that are provided alongside the great customer service. Again, we unfortunately will not be staying here but I would recommend Allure to any residents that are looking to move into the Scripps Ranch area.

This place is terrible. You will not get your entire deposit back due to they charge you for all the cleaning supplies and painting supplies to turn over the appt. You will get a weekly letter on your door for rules acknowledgements to remind all residents of the policies (annoying). The BBQ and swimming pool are disgusting and should be used with caution. Even though very pet friendly, you pay for it and another charge from your deposit when you move. Unless you are desperate, find something else.

Premium apartment complex. Many of the units are equipped with two-​car garages, not the side-​by-​side variety however. There are also single, detached garages available for an extra charge, but if you’re renting a single bedroom unit, then you’ll be assigned two open parking spaces.
The clubhouse area is large and can accommodate parties of 50 – 75 people. There is a movie room with a projection screen, blu-​ray player, hi-​def surround sound, and about a dozen recliners.
The pool area is large and there are several cabanas available on a first-​come, first-​serve basis. However, there are plenty of lounge chairs around the pool in case you can’t nab one of the cabanas.
The fitness center is well-​equipped with 4 treadmills, elliptical machines, and stationary bikes. The free weight area is basic, with a single set of weights ranging from 5 lbs. to 100 lbs. There are also rubberized olympic plates for when you need to go big. The fitness center, like the pool, closes promptly at 10pm.
Visitor parking is non-​existent. You will have to park on the side street if you’re looking to park overnight, or you can park in the business parking lot behind the complex until 10pm.
Had it not been for the unfortunate visitor parking situation, this would be a 5-​star complex. Its proximity to shopping (Trader Joes) and other amenities is unparalleled. And the 15 is less than 2 minutes away.
But all the perks are for the residents…

Friendly and terrific girls at the leasing center. Very accommodating, as are the maintenance workers.
I have lived here since February of 2012 and have found this apartment complex to be managed very well. The girls at the leasing center are very accommodating and take all my requests and any issues very serious. There is never a time delay in any thing that needs to be done, i.e. carpet issue, light bulb changed, dishwasher or simple laundry issue. Even if my complaint involves a bothersome child making annoying noises, the staff still take it seriously and squash it before any issue could become out of control. I have rented before and have found that noises are often unmanaged. However, the staff do seem to filter out bothersome noises before they become out of control. I really enjoy this apartment complex as it feels much like a resort style living. I can honestly say, out of all the places I have lived, I really do enjoy it here. Not only is the staff in the leasing center great, but the grounds are kept in excellent condition. It is beautiful here and the complex really showcases the San Diego diversity, culture, and beauty. In addition, the girls in the leasing center are highly knowledgable to the surroundings and services provided within the Scripps Ranch area and outside areas. If you are new to San Diego or even the Scripps Ranch area, I wouldn’t hesitate to ask the staff as they are highly knowledgable and familiar with where to find the items you need at the right price.
The location is perfect, as the location is just off the 15 and I am literally about 15 to 20 minutes within anywhere that I want to go within San Diego county or San Diego proper. The location also provides access to Scripps Ranch School Distrist which is ranked 2^nd in the San Diego school district. My son is a senior there and is currently taking college level courses that they offer. He can walk to school, as we are about ¹⁄₆ of a mile from the HS. My daughter attends Jarebek Elementery which is a year round school. This isn’t in the district but you could choice your child in. This school is highly favored over Mira Mar which is the traditional school and still pretty good and within walking distance as well. Speaking of walking distance, there is the San Diego city library, Trader Joes, Chuck E Cheese, Postal Annex, Bruskis’ (local bar and grill), Sprint, Sombaro’s, a nail salon, and a few extras. Having all these places to walk is just an added bonus. If you really like walking, you can go about ¼ down the road under the 15 to Applebee’s, Ralphs, albertonsons, a few banks, a theater, and a lot more great places and restraurants and bars.
The apartment complex also offers up a theater in the leasing center, it’s really awesome if you want to have a family night or some friends over, or a short little play date for your kids. There is also a huge, deluxe kitchen across from the theater that you can put your food in while you’re swimming or watching a movie. Another benefit is the gym. The gym is open 24 hours and does require a resident key to get in, as does everything here because it is a gated community. The gym has a surplus of equipment so you never have to wait to use the equipment and the equipment is new. They also don’t allow kids in there so you don’t have to worry about being bothered by annoying kids. I’m sure you can tell in this review that annoying kids really bother me, which is one if the many reasons why I like the complex, because they do keep the kids under control. They adhere to the posted signs and don’t allow the kids to run a muck under the age of 14 without parental supervision. Plus, you just don’t see a lot of teens. I have often witnessed the staff directing the kids to comply to the rules and to go home if any activity falls outside of the expected guidelines posted or breech of lease. I’m all about the rules being enforced, so this is another reason why I really enjoy this complex.
This is an upscale apartment complex and is kept as such. This is expressed in the residents selected for housing. This is also a gated community and garages are to be shut at all times. There isn’t any parking for guests which is actually a good thing. It is because of these strict guidelines, that the management company is able to keep it safe and clean. My final reccomendation is, if you are looking for an apartment complex to get down and party at, this wouldn’t be the place for you. If you are looking for San Diego climate and culture and beauty with a touch of serenity, this would then be idyllic. I apoligize for the poor grammar and lack of editing in this review but I felt this nesacarry as the staff has just helped me out for the tenth time in the last 5 months and really felt it best to get the word out.
