We coordinate all aspects of the event so you can enjoy your day carefree whether it’s in San Diego or other parts of southern California. It is our mission to create events that are completely reflective of your style and taste, that are amazing, fun and memorable and that touch all the senses.

Brilliant Event Design is a boutique wedding and event planning business founded by Leila Oberdorfer who has a background and a passion for design and working with clients to create spectacular events.

Business Owner
Upon graduating in Interior Design with honors from Purdue University, Leila’s career started in Miami, where she designed and created the interiors of some of Miami’s most lavish nightclubs, lounges and hotel lobbies. During that time she also got involved in planning big events, such as the production and planning of the annual South Florida Interior Design Awards gala. She relocated to San Diego and encouraged by many friends and family members whom she helped to plan and execute their weddings, she decided to turn her passion for people, design, style, romance and love into starting Brilliant Event Design: a boutique event design and coordination company that specializes in creating beautiful events through artistic creation, careful planning and flawless execution.
