I initially reached out for quotes from 4 – 5 of the top-​rated Unilocal plumbers in the area and didn’t get a single response back. Called Don from Core on a Monday afternoon and by Tuesday I had a thermal expansion tank installed protecting our new hot water heater. Got an accurate estimate and the work was done efficiently and professionally at a fair price.
They use a convenient app (HouseCall) to confirm your appointment, text to let you know when you’re enroute, and for payment. Hopefully, you don’t need a plumber too often, but nice to know there are good ones like Core around when you need them.

Excellent customer service. From the phone call to the service, everything was done professionally. They even moved their schedule around to accommodate the service for my company in order to get us in sooner, due to our emergency toilet replacements needed. We have used Core Plumbing before and will continue to be loyal customers here at massage heights. We recently had a gas line installed. Not only was the price great but the work they did was perfect! Customer service was outstanding and we wouldn’t hesitate to call them again when needed!

Our 6 year old water heater stopped working due to an error with the computer/​thermostat. Core Plumbing came out, cleared the error and had everything working in minutes. A previous company wanted $ 2,100 to replace the entire water heater. Thats easily worth 5 stars to us. Thank You Core Plumbing!

No problem with the work that was done… just the customer service. Long story short, we had a flood at our house and one of our toilets had a hairline crack on it after it was removed. We called the next day and left a message to speak with someone about it… no call back. Left another message… no call back. My husband emailed them a few days later and we heard back right away apologizing that the toilet was cracked and that they would replace it when we were ready (that was in late September). They did ask us where we got the toilet/​what kind it was and it was suggested that we try and return it – I thought that was kind of shady and we didn’t try returning since we didn’t crack it. We had a ton of work that needed to be done because of the flood and weren’t ready to install our toilet until beginning of December. I called and left a message saying that we were ready for them to order the toilet and come set it (a ‘set’ fee was included in our original bill). I received a call back from the owner and he said he didn’t remember our situation and didn’t know why they would agree to replace the toilet when we had other workers in the house that probably cracked it. He asked me what kind of toilet we had and when I told him it was the double flush water saver, he said, ‘I’m not buying one of those.’ I had him call my husband since he was the one who had all the emails from the owner’s son who said they would replace it. My husband had to forward all the emails and take pictures of the toilet and send it off to the owner. He said that they would replace the bowl and not the whole toilet. We waited and waited and no one contacted us. We waited until after the holidays to contact and were told that we were ‘forgotten’ about and that the ball was rolling now – should have been rolling a long time ago if you ask me. My husband emailed the other day to follow up and we were told that the toilet we chose is exclusive to Lowes and would take awhile to get in. We totally get this… this is the toilet that we purchased originally and obviously want the same one. What annoys me is the way the owner spoke to us through his emails. We were told that he ‘understands our frustration, but they are doing this as a courtesy,’ and that ‘it does not please me to provide you with a new bowl, and jump through the ridiculous hoops of doing so, and still incur your displeasure.’ Sorry you are displeased, but we have been living with 1 bathroom for a month waiting for you guys to get in touch with us. He also said that they have never cracked a toilet – sounded like he was trying to blame the flood restoration people (who we have used before and never had any problems with) or my husband who originally installed the toilet. We even asked what the difference was between buying the whole toilet and just the bowl so we could get it done quicker. The owner has been contacting us through email — you think he would pick up the phone and call us. We said never mind, we are over your lack of service and we will repurchase the toilet (that we didn’t crack) and install this weekend. We told him that he can refund our ‘set’ fee if he wants – will let you know if he does… doubt he will. Yes, they were going to replace it but the timeline sucked (partly due to us wanting the same toilet) and I don’t appreciate feeling like we inconvenienced him.

Five stars for Core Plumbing! Thank you to Grant for coordinating a speedy response and to Don and crew for a job well done! They are everything I hope for when faced with a home repair urgent issue. They were very thorough on the initial inspection giving us a patient explanation of our slab leak and needed repairs. They arrived the next day fixed the problem in a clean careful manner. Don was really competent on time and they are just people we felt comfortable inviting into our home for the day. I will call them for all future plumbing jobs and highly recommend them. Core Plumbing is FANTASTIC! Had to get a re-​pipe done of our custom home in Rancho Bernardo that was not simple. Don, the owner of this Father & Son company is a genuine man, he arrived for the estimate the day we called, as well as on time. He also wasn’t in a rush so we could ask as many questions as we needed to. He also submitted the bid the next day as he said he would. Didn’t have to track him down before or during the job, which is unheard of. We called many other companies to receive bids as well, but they either did not speak English, didn’t have workman’s comp, didn’t return our call, or was a one man show. We liked Don right away, but we did want to receive other quotes. One company even gave us a quote over the phone without seeing the home, & we knew that can’t be done successfully. So Core plumbing won the job based on the other companies not being compliant & so glad we did choose them. Not only did the big job run smoothly, but no hidden costs of change orders from them that many companies do. As the customer, we had some change orders, but that was on us, not Core. Do yourself a favor & save headaches caused by unethical contractors, call Core for your plumbing needs. All AMERICAN guys & when the head of the company is on the job working along his 4 – 5 man crew in our case, it says a lot! Most owners of a company get the bid & you never see them again. Not the case with Core Plumbing. We will be using them soon for a rental we have as well. Thank you again Core crew!

This company provided excellent service when the valves to my washer went out. Reasonably priced. They went above board and moved my new washer into the laundry for me. I will be calling them again!

While I would prefer never to have to call a plumber, Core makes it almost painless. I have used their services several times over the past 2 years (after giving up on another firm due to their complete lack of customer service), and I have always been pleased at the prompt response, courteous and knowledgeable people in my home and reasonable approach to the problems presented. They explain options and make suggestions — but no strong-​arm upselling. And I love their texts and calls to let me know when they will arrive and the electronic payment and receipts.

Core Plumbing has worked at my house on several occasions. Their work is excellent and their technicians are superlative. I totally trust Core Plumbing and give them access to the house so I don’t have to be there. I know that the work will be perfect.

I called Core Plumbing after another local plumbing company failed to show for a confirmed appointment without any notice or explanation. Core Plumbing was able to schedule an appointment within a few days. They showed up and did the work requested. Can’t really ask for anything more. Highly recommended.

We had a slow water leak outside somewhere near our water meter, it was seeping out from underneath our driveway it looked like. Josh came out and dug out near the leak and decided it was coming from under the driveway.
He gave me two options, we could break up concrete and try and find it, or run a new water line from the meter to the garage (where the other one came in). I chose a new water line, it made more sense, and would have been the cheaper one in the long run.
Josh dug up a trench, around the roots of a large tree, cut a precision cut out of the sidewalk, and ran a new pipe to the garage wall. He the installed some really nice copper pipe and a new water pressure regulator, and hooked it all back up to the house. He backfilled the dirt, did a really good small concrete patch job, and placed back the grass.
Really outstanding service from someone I will trust again in the future for all my plumbing needs.

We’ve wanted clean water in our home for quite some time. Even after doing a lot of research on the various systems we still weren’t sure what was best for our needs. After speaking to Grant we finally got all our questions answered. We had a beautiful water filtration system installed in our home and couldn’t be happier. The workmanship was impeccable. We don’t have to do a thing… Nothing to change or monitor. It’s self cleaning and produces CLEAN tasting water. Because I grow a lot of plants both indoor and out, I asked if a faucet with clean water could be attached to the new filter system so my outdoor plants could benefit as well. They made it happen and now even the plants are starting to lose the yellowish tint caused by chlorine/​hard water deposits.
These guys take pride in what they do. We would recommend them to anyone with any type of plumbing needs.
