History

Established in 2013.

I was given a fabulous opportunity in April of 2013 to open my own Salon, I did the complete design of all rooms, walls and décor, from an empty 1200 sq ft room. I was extremely fortunate to be joined by some wonderful stylist’s from Manovone; Roxy, Toi, Peter, Raschel & Belida have all found their next home hopefully for years to come. Also have a talented Esthetician, VI for all your skin care needs

Barber/​Cosmetology School in Denver Colorado, Stacie worked for a couple of years In Denver before moving to San Diego.

Stacie’s credits begin in La Jolla working with super stylist, Kenneth Rolland of Kenneth Rolland La Jolla. The two would travel bi weekly back and forth between Scottsdale Az, and the beautiful cove of La Jolla. For two years she molded out her own creative energy from the circle of inspiring professionals at Kenneth Rolland.

The next adventure took Stacie to Beverly Hills, where she worked closely with talented stylist“s at Ben Simon Salon of Beverly Hills.

Family and providence brought Stacie back to San Diego.

Building a strong cliental of men women and children, Stacie became the family stylist to many Miramar stationed Families. She is still in the Miramar area but located off base so her non-​military clients are able now to see her on a regular basis.

With 20 years experience as colorist and stylist, Stacie is a master in all aspects of hairdressing

Stacie took me in last minute and gave me a gorgeous haircut. She wanted to make sure I got exactly what I was looking for by referencing other hairstyles she had done previously from her phone’s photo album and by looking at my reference photo — turned out to be a long bob that’s so in right now :). Your hair is very personal and any major changes affects your self esteem, identity, etc. I loved how she walked me through her process of washing my hair, cutting the main portion, blow drying it and then perfecting the cut after it was dry to see how I’d like it to ensure her art/​craft was perfect. After we both agreed it was amazing, she took it one step further styled my hair and taught me how to curl using a flat iron to get beach waves. She’s great to talk to and very sweet. Highly recommend :).

I followed Belida here from Mira Mesa when the owner started jacking up rent space for the stylist. The place is sometimes hard to get a parking spot. But when you’re in, you’re in. I’ve had the same style for almost 6 years and today I asked belida for a new look. Went from the bed hair look to a trimmed come over look. I say this style is more proper and professional. BTW, when I do get the bed hair look when it gets long, I come over. My son says…“I like your hair like that, can I get my haircut like that?”. So, here we are with a new look. Haha. Ask for Belida.

I had a brazilian blowout with Stacie and I love it! She is very professional and takes the time to answer questions. My hair is easier to style and not fizzy like before the blowout. I blow dry it and don’t have to use my flat iron. It’s great to be giving my hair a break from so much heat.

Stacie is a miracle worker! One of the few stylists in town that does the original Brazilian Blowout, I was ecstatic when I found her on Unilocal.I was able to get an appointment with her right away and found her rates extremely reasonable. She is such a nice person to chat with and made the long process bearable with great conversation. Best of all, my hair looks amazing! My next appt is already booked with Stacie!

I wanted something drastically different from my natural hair color while keeping it within the «normal» hair colors. I went from honey brown to a beautiful bright blonde on top with a mocha brown on the bottom and sprinkled throughout. I’m very happy with Stacie. She’s been doing hair for a while and knows her stuff. She not only cut, colored and conditioned my hair but she educated me on how to maintain my color. I learned great tips from her. Unlike many salon stylists, she actually really cares about you and your hair. I’ll definitely be coming back for touchups, cuts and everything else I may need in the future. The salon itself has a very «home-​y» feel which made it that much more comfortable. I’m stoked on her work. Thanks Stacie! See you in about a month or so!

Roxy is the way to go! She cut my hair back in high school and I still go to her. I am sooooooo glad that she is my friends mom because when she left her old place I would’ve had no idea where she went.
Every time I cut my hair she makes it exactly the way I want it! And I’m not saying it just cause she’s my friends mom but she really does do a great job. I tell her how short I want it and she just does her thing and gives me suggestions on what will fit my face better. I trust her with my hair so I just let her do what she wants. She is the ONLY person that I will let touch my hair. She never disappoints!

Like many girls I’ve been wanting to get on the blonde/​brunette ombré balayage trend that’s all over the internet lately and I’ve finally found the right place to do it!
I showed Roxy a few photos of what I wanted done and she completely understood. I emphasized making it look natural and blend well instead of those ombré that have a harsh line between dark/​light. I love how my hair still feels so light, healthy, flowy despite using bleach. In the sun my hair looks multidimensional with shades of brunette/​blonde.
The whole process took about 2 hours, however it was a very relaxing and soothing experience, especially the washing and styling. Roxy was very gentle with my hair which I appreciate. When I was talking to her, she mentioned how she takes classes each year and attends hair conventions to stay up to date with new trends, technology, and techniques so that’s a plus.
If you’re looking for a talented hair stylist/​colorist, ask for Roxy!

What a breath of fresh air! I have had terrible experiences at corporate-​like hair salons and I really am happy to have found someone with YEARS AND YEARS of experience, love for hair, and a personality.
Stacie is a wonder. I moved from NY and received a terrible cut and color from two different «high end» corporate-​like salons. I was mortified and couldn’t go back. I exhausted a search for a small shop with experience. Stacie took me in last minute and revived my hair. I had a cut that I didn’t even know was uneven, and horrible highlights I needed covered. She was so helpful, and a sparkling personality as well. We watched some of the football game on TV and she chatted with me about getting to know CA. She went above and beyond with my hair and her hospitality.
Take the jump from a «corp salon» and go to those smaller businesses. Those people actually care. I love Stacie and I am so happy!!!
I am putting 5⁄5 stars with the overall experience. I don’t believe in perfect, as I am incredibly choosy because of my hair type, but she has got it down!

This review is for ROXY.
I have black hair down past by breasts. Came in to get my ombré done. Showed her a picture and everything. She said she’s done that before and she can get my hair to be like that, but in 2 visits. Understandable. First thing I told her was: «Do what you think is best to get the end result, just don’t turn my hair orange.» First session is done, hair turned out orange. I came back 2 days later to get the «orange» fixed. By fixing it, Roxy bleached it out AGAIN. My hair was smooshy when she took off the foil and most of it broke off. The ombré was not ombré, but I got half black and half YELLOW hair, not even blonde (ashy). ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Paid her for the first session AND the second session. $ 100, $ 50. plus $ 40 tip for both. If you ask me, I think I was too nice to give her ANY money at all. Biggest regret.
She also trimmed my hair. I told her I dont like layers. Guess what she did? She gave me a million layers trying to cut off the «dead» in my hair. NO NO NO!!!
I got mad and told her to just cut it short, I don’t want damn layers and my hair looks like shit. She was able to make it ash at the end but I also lost all of my hair. She refused to cut it short, said I can still «save» my hair. Let’s be real, it’s not savable. I’m am beyond disappointed. She offered 1 month of hot oil treatment for free. Definitely not coming back, even for the free stuff. She didn’t even cut my hair short for me. She refused to do it. Unbelievable.
DO NOT GO TO ROXY IF YOU WANT OMBRE, pick another hair dresser.

Recently had my hair done by Peter. He is excellent! Friendly, caring, and listens to what you want.
The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that there is a smoke shop next door, and the salon sometimes smells like cigarette smoke. It really detracts from the experience.

I don’t usually write reviews but I really wanted to support this establishment. Like all the other reviewers, I came here chasing down manivone stylists. But the one who ended up cutting my hair was Stacie. I guess I shouldnt be surprised that everyone from manivone wanted to move here because she knows her stuff! I haven’t had a haircut in a year and had mad layers from a grown-​out pixie, so I wanted a simple bob cut. I have straight Asian hair that tends to go flat but Stacie layered my hair in such a way that, even without a mousse, it looks full and bouncy. I don’t know how she did it but I just blow-​dried it this morning and it looks the same as when I left her salon.
The parking didn’t really bug me because you can park anywhere around the building they’re in and the stylists will tell you this. As for the smoke shop, I didn’t even notice it until I passed by. I didn’t smell a thing coming out or inside the salon. Don’t hesitate to go here because of these things because you’ll really miss out on great service for a great price.

Love, Love, Love, Stacie!
She rescued me after two other failed attempts to fix a layered cut gone very wrong. I went from nearly waist-​length hair to a shoulder-​length blunt cut and I’m getting compliments on my hair again.
My hair is thick but super-​baby fine and she was able to give me a cut that I don’t have to struggle with in the mornings, which I love. She took me at the last minute on a day she wasn’t scheduled to work.
Someone mentioned the parking was frustrating, double-​check but I was told that no matter what it says on the green marked area, that parking is for all of the businesses on that particular strip. Do not park by Denny’s, they have a security guard patrolling the area and he looks like he’s just waiting to have someone towed. Don’t be the one to make his day. :)

I have been going to a lot of stylist and let me tell you Toi is by far the best. Let me explain why.
1. When I came in for the first time, she was all smiles and was really nice. I told her I wanted straight bangs but was really hesitate of how it would look. So she gave me reasons why it would match with me and she cut it in a way that if I did not like it I could put it as side bangs. (but I loved it !)
2. This is probably the most important reason. I seriously had NEVER had so much compliments on my new hair color EVER before. I showed Toi a picture of a color I wanted, it was light brown but she seriously gave me a even nicer shade of light brown that matched my skin ! Everywhere I went I was getting compliments about how nice this shade was. Everyone was asking where I got my hair done at. That really says a lot !
She is truly talented and seriously really nice and patient ! Speaking of which I need to come back for a touch up soon ! haha

I’ve been with Roxy since the beginning (almost 9 years!) and she is just WONDERFUL, professional and definitely can cut some awesome hair!
Since leaving Manivone, I’ve followed Roxy because she is the only one I trust with my hair! I’m so happy!
