Yung business owner and Holly her employee are excellent barbers and hair stylists. Both have excellent customer service skills and very friendly. The price cannot be beat for the professional hair cut that they provide. Customer satisfaction is their number 1 priority. You won’t know until you give them a try.

We happened upon this place a year or two ago. The ladies there have always been great with my son (he’s almost 5 now). He gets a lollipop and the ladies are always great with him. I really like the haircuts he gets there and the price is right. For $ 9 plus tip, we feel very good all around! My boyfriend and I have had our hair cut there, too, and we were both happy with result.

Yung is the best! I highly recommend her and the salon! I have very curly frizzy hair and she is able to shampoo, condition, and flat iron/​straighten it to perfection! She really cares about her customers! She spends time massaging you scalp, offers water with no extra charge, and is very engaging and attentive! Yung is great at women’s hair! She has even cut my mom’s thin hair! She is great with all hair types!!!

Still the best barber shop and hair style shop in San Diego. Cheerful, competent staff delivering quality haircuts for low prices. Very busy on weekends so call ahead to make an appointment if you are pressed for time.

Yung my hair dresser is the best, she follows directions very well super reasonable prices I’m so happy I found her. The salon is clean and friendly atmosphere. highly recommended

Worst place to come. The woman here was rude and utterly gave me the worst haircut I have ever had. Do yourself a favor and don’t come here!

Wow! $ 9 kids cuts! I am used to paying $ 20! These ladies are very skilled, professional, great with kids, used only scissors on request, and took us immediately with no wait! I love the cuts — not your basic bowl bang cut– which I hate!

I have to say Hair Sculpture has gone downhill since there was a change in management. Kim and her daughter, Kimberly used to own the place. Recently paid a visit only to find they no longer own the place. I ended up waiting to get a haircut anyway because I was going out of town that weekend. Got a haircut from a lady named Yung and turned out so poorly. Definitely not how Kim usually cuts my hair. I even tried explaining to her several times and she acted like she understood but it was obvious by the end of my visit that she didn’t get it. It was way too short! I definitely won’t be coming back anytime soon. I was able to get into contact with Kimberly at 858−254−5496 if anyone is looking to get a hair cut from the previous owners.

This establishment is conveniently located in Clairemont with plenty of parking. The hair parlor is always kept clean and pleasant. Cindy does a wonderful job in doing my haircut and color. She is friendly and courteous. The price for hair services are affordable. I’ve been going to this place for a long time now. Excellent service all around.

I want to update the happenings at Hair Sculpture. Kim and her Mom sold the business a month or two ago. They initially were going to rent a booth but the new owners decided against it. They have now moved over to different salon. You can reach Kim at 858−254−5496 She is working only a couple blocks away.

This is one of the few places that I can rely on to have great service every time. The prices are great and the staff is very friendly.
With my busy schedule I am not able to make an appointment. Waiting is not a problem here, usually no more than 5 to 10 minutes for a walk-​in.
I give this place two thumbs up and five stars.

I love how Kimberly and mom cut my hair. I have been coming here for a long time. And have gotten many people coming to have Kimberly cut hair. Now Kimberly is no longer at this location. Worst hair cut NA! The cut was so bad that my friend laughed at me. Then, even the barber laughed… Soooo unprofessional!

I personally hate hair cuts, so when my hair gets unmanageable, my only hope is that my barber has fast hands, a low cost, sharp shears and adroit precision.
Hair Sculpture has the first two and only occasionally the third.
I’ve been to Hair Sculpture MANY times over the past three years simply because it’s cheap. It’s because of my regular visits that I know that this place is very inconsistent. With the exception of one decent haircut here, the rest of my haircuts were either not good or downright DISASTROUS. At the time of this post, I refuse to look in the mirror because today’s hair cut was one of the latter scenarios.
I specifically asked the woman who helped me (the «daughter») before starting to not cut my bangs too much. She smiled and started talking to her mom. Ten to fifteen minutes later, I put my glasses on to see the majority of my forehead. The only indicator that she may have acknowledged my request was a few long strands on only one side of my face.
Thinking about it, the only times this woman talked to me in previous hair appointments was to ask me to tell all my friends about her cheap haircuts and for suggestions on how to advertise to UCSD students. Oh and she also took the time to add a few barbs about how the hair stylists in the adjacent building were bad. Honestly, if those guys were bad by her standards, they would probably be arrested by now.
So in conclusion, don’t expect much out of this $ 10 haircut. It may turn out well, but chances are it’ll be awful or worse than that. As much as I rag on this place, the funny thing is I’ll probably come back again because it’s so cheap! I hate being poor.

I missed my appointment with my usual hair stylist a couple of weeks ago and then she went on vacation so I was left with the prospect of looking for someone else to get me by before I turned into a caveman.
Not as good as my usual hairstylist. However, for a $ 10 haircut they did a reasonably good job. And I give them an extra point for great customer service. The hair stylist’s cousin was in line ahead of me but they let me go first.
