Best shrimp and fish tacos! Taste the same as the Kikos on Texas st. But this one is closer to home! Governor is a must try if you like shrimp.

I was impressed by these tacos! In San Diego we are so blessed with good Mexican around every corner. Amongst all these good Mexican places this little food truck still managed to impress me. Obviously ambiance here is non existent, this is a place you come to grub out while you stand or sit on grass, or better yet order to go. Food wise this is worth checking out. If you love seafood tacos or looking for a new taco you really should try this truck! They primarily only have have seafood but they also have carne asada, no chicken, FYI. I loved the fish taco, I loved their spicy shrimp taco, and their carne asada taco was also fantastic. If I am in the area near 163 freeway and Friar’s exit, no doubt I will get them again. For me it was love at first bite, if you are in the area don’t miss out! Happy eating!

So this is my last time giving this place a shot… it’s too bad because this place knows how to make seafood really well. So yesterday I took my relatives to check this place out all was good except that they couldn’t break a 100 even though it was late in the day and they’ve been open for hours I had to go to the liquor store and make a ten dollar purchase because they wouldn’t break it either anyway not too mad about that, then I placed my order got some ceviche tostadas and a cheese quesadilla for the kid $ 5 for a cheese quesadilla that probably cost them .15 cents… ridiculous you’d think they’d offer to give it to me for having to spend $ 10 at the liquor store in order to buy their food… still not the worst part. So we finally got our food we start eating and ¾ of the way into my tostada I bite into a fucking shirt button string and all! WTF??? I almost broke my tooth I go to the truck and show them the button and tell them wtf?! And all they could say was«sorry bro» wtf was that?! Ugh so disgusting and disappointed. Anyway last time I go there be careful when eating there they clearly don’t give a shit about the food handling or their customers…

Great spot! Great food! Fish tacos are amazing! Shrimp Ceviche is fresh and delicious! Has a lot of onions though! Mixed cocktail was on point! Great fresh sea food for a fair price!! They don’t have drinks but the liquor store in the same parking lot does and they even offer fountain drinks! Can’t go wrong if looking for a quick spot to eat!

I had the shrimp cocktail & fish taco… Soooo Good!!! If you happen to be in the area you definitely need to try this place. The shrimp cocktail was loaded with tons of shrimp… really fresh & tasty. The best fish taco I probably ever had.

Son las tacos de pescado más buenos de San Diego. Yo los visitó seguido por más de 5 anos. Se los recomiendo a todos! This are for sure the best fish tacos in San Diego, I have being going there for more than 5 years. I recommend them to all my friends and they all liked them.

Went here last Saturday afternoon(Frairs road location), my brothers kept telling me about this food truck. The food is a 5 star hands down the only set back is there are no tables and not much room around the truck to eat. I think I’m going there tonight and I will bring some fold up chairs and a table. TACOTUESDAY!!!

Ate here several times. Good octopus tacos. The grilled fish and battered tacos were also good. Food arrived hot and quick. Best to eat right on spot. Yes, standing up… the tacos can become mushy on a drive home.

Ordered a shrimp burrito and complementary soup from this food truck and ate it; soon as got home, I had worst stomach pain and threw up the food. Never again and paid way too much for the burrito. I demand a refund. I strongly suggest a food inspector from the county needs to check on their food quality.

Don’t you hate it when your lunch sucks?! I do. I work right down the street and went there today. I ordered 2 garlic shrimp tacos and fish ceviche. This truck takes a while but not too long and you assume it’s because they are taking care of your order. I picked up my food(which I ordered to go) and drove back to work as I only have 30 minutes. When I got back to my office I opened up the ceviche which was warm. And my tacos which were FISHTACOS! I was so sad! I’m not a fan of their fish tacos because they come out burning hot and there is so much breeding around the fish it ruins my lunch and my diet. My work is pretty strict and I had no option but to eat them or throw them away. I wish I had thrown them away. Exactly as I remember… Burning hot and hardly any fish. I then got my ceviche out of the fridge and could barely find the fish in there! Ended up throwing it away. Super bummed. And learned my lesson.

Good seafood from a food truck? Kiko’s is breaking stereotypes. Let it now be known that awesome seafood can come from a food tuck. I was a little hesitant at first because I am not a huge fan of seafood, but I was excited to try out the tacos. They totally blew away my expectations and were some of the best fish tacos I’ve had around anywhere. You can tell that they are high-quality and they taste delectable. Their homemade salsas are also delicious, one of them brings the heat, which I’m a fan of. They do this ingenious thing where they give you a cup of soup to sip on after you order while you wait for your food to be cooked(also delicious). Do yourself a favor and go shatter the idea that great seafood can’t be purchased in the parking lot of a liquor store from a truck.

Ummmmmmm hello. I can only thank the food gods that I live nowhere near this truck so that I’m not doomed to obesity by daily fish tacos. And can I give a special shout-out to their generous hot sauce selection?

OMG I am a seafood lover and this place it is my new favorite place in San Diego. I woke up this morning a bit hungover from last night’s happy hour so i decided to find a new place to eat some seafood and start the day with the right foot, so my sister took me to this food truck by her place and I ordered the«chingon taco» which is a taco with shrimp & steak, one«famous krazy tostada» that has a mix of seafood and they also give you an oyster on the side. I had a shrimp/oyster clamato which it was really tasty. Plus, they give you a free seafood soup while you wait for your food. Price are really affordable. If you are hungry, you like seafood & you’re in the surroundings, you should definitely stop here and get a yummilicious meal.

WOW! I thought nothing will come close to TJ oyster bar but this hidden food truck in Linda Vista will do it for me. I was having training at the SD County of Education and passed by this food truck and wanted to try. I ordered 2 fish tacos and man oh man, the tacos had, had 2 big pieces of fried fish in my tacos and it was so good! It definitely filled me up! They even give you soup while waiting for your food. The wait was literally just about 3 mins. They have salsa, hot sauce, lemon, etc. all placed outside of the truck for your convenience. I will definitely go back when I get the chance!

I wish that when people asked me why I moved to San Diego, I could take them to this taco truck. The tacos are seriously delicious, so cheap, and the people working are the best. I’ve tried the fish, shrimp, and garlic shrimp and have been more than happy with all of them. The only 2 downsides are that they don’t take cards(DUH) and that they don’t sell drinks, but it’s right next to the market where I always grab a Mexican Coke to go with my meal.

A friendly neighbor food truck serving delicious and fresh seafood! We ordered their fried fish taco, shrimp burrito and agua chile(a type of ceviche). For the price, you can’t go wrong with their fish tacos and the shrimp in the burrito was cooked perfectly! Everything is made to order so expect to wait a few minutes for your food. They do give you free«consume»(a hot vegetable soup) while you wait, which is another plus! Don’t forget to pack some of their salsa if you’re taking it to go! It had great heat and flavor!

On Friar’s Road they are located in the parking lot of a liquor store just west of Fashion Valley but not quite as far as the YMCA. You won’t miss it if you’re driving slowly and keeping your attention to the north side of Friar’s Rd. The fish tacos are very good. Prepared and presented fresh in a warm corn tortilla with fresh salsa and cabbage along with your choice of fish(fried/grilled). The price point is cheap for a food truck and one of the nicest things is that they give you a cup of warm consommé broth with your purchase. It’s a good fish taco, and I think what contributes to that is the appeal of the food truck perspective. You know, the«eating food prepared from a truck kitchen, sitting on a plastic chair or sidewalk, drinking out of a soda can» without any pretentiousness to it type of thing. It’s just the food and the food only is what you focus on. If you’re in the area, or even if you’re not in the area, and are hankering for a good fish taco, this would be a good option.

Kikos is the real deal in all things seafood! Didn’t really think you get quality food from a food truck but I was really surprised… this truck was parked close to our house for a month before I tried it. There was always a line. so we finally walked over and tried it. THEREISSTILLALWAYS A LINE. which is good news! Everything is GREAT!.. we have had the Octopus tacos which are amazing… Shrimp burrito is really good,… the Marlin tacos… but we usually stick to the regular fish tacos. it is now become a Saturday tradition. we go to bed Friday dreaming of Kikos Fish Tacos. Raul is also why we keep coming back. he is very friendly and a great businessman. It is a great Husband and Wife team Give it a try. you won’t be disappointed!

I would strongly recommend this place. It has one of the cleanest and most well prepare seafood around. When I eat Seafood i usually get a mild lash, but when i ate there i did not get anything because of how well the food was prepare. I would recommend the shrimp taco with chile, some aguachiles, and to top if off a coctel de camarones.
