Let’s Frolic Together

I can’t say enough good things about Jasmine. She captured our personalities perfectly during our «this is how we Wednesday» e-​sesh. She helped us celebrate this major moment in our lives and I will treasure the pictures forever. Jasmine took time before our shoot to get to know us as a couple so we weren’t awkward with her in front of the camera. She has this way of capturing pictures that look like she just magically happened to be in the perfect spot at the perfect moment every time. Her professional expertise on all aspects of the shoot made the day super dreamy. Can’t thank her enough for turning an April Wednesday into art. Worth every penny!

Jasmine was fantastic! She was extremely kind and worked with us through some scheduling issues. She made my family very comfortable as well as my husband who hates having his photo taken. She was so easy to communicate with and I love her style!

I am someone who avoids taking photos at all cost so finding a photographer I felt comfortable with is a huge deal to me. But the second I saw the photos from my friend’s wedding, I knew I had to hire Jasmine for our wedding.
We recently did our portrait session with her and I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Not only were the pictures GORGEOUS but she made us feel completely at ease so the photos perfectly captured our relationship. I would recommend her in a heartbeat!

We were introduced to Jasmine by our wedding planner. I immediately fell in love with her portfolio; her photos are so heartfelt, real, intimate and unique… they felt so personal. I scheduled a meeting with her right away. First of all, her studio is so cute… she was so sweet, warm and bubbly and we sat there talking about the wedding and how my husband and I met over tea and these amazing chocolate dipped madeleines (yes, that’s important). She had a big screen circulating photos from previous shoots and I found myself getting emotional. Right then and there I knew that she had to be our photographer. She has this wonderful artistic ability to unarm and reveal the sweetest moments between couples… some of the most personal… the ones you wish someone was there to capture, like the way your husband looks at you. And all while creating beautiful art with her photos.
Our engagement photos were great. We had many compliments on the photos from our family and friends. The proofs we have seen of our wedding photos are even better… I cannot wait to see the full package from our big day. She captured the magic from that day in her stills and I am so grateful to have had her there to help us remember the special moments. and to remember them so beautifully.
Jasmine is just plain cool. She makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera, is a complete pro, AND does great work. I mean, being in front of a camera can be scary! But she let’s you be you… and that’s so key. We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer. In addition to that, it was incredibly hot on our wedding day and she was such a trooper in all of the sweatiness that ensued. We even got compliments from our guests about how wonderful and awesome she is (she is also a rockstar on the dance floor btw — she’s got moves). I’d hire Jasmine again in a heartbeat.

Living in LA, my husband and I were lucky enough to find Jasmine as our San Diego wedding photographer. For our venue, we had decided on The Pearl Hotel in San Diego which has a distinctively retro style and wanted to be sure our photographer could capture the quirky/​60s feel that we envisioned.
From the beginning, Jasmine understood exactly what we were looking for. At our included engagement session, she found some amazing shots at unexpected places when we weren’t able to shoot at the location we had originally intended.
At the wedding itself, she totally blended in and made everyone feel comfortable, always seeming to find the perfect candid shots of us and our guests. With her amazing eye for composition and depth, her pictures perfectly captured the love, fun, joy and personality of our day.
If you’re looking for canned, sterile, and overly posed shots, look elsewhere. If you dream of a collection of classy, joyful, intuitive, and spontaneous pictures, Jasmine will create one that will blow you away. Jasmine is absolutely the best. Let’s start from the beginning… After searching dozens upon dozens of photographers, and seeing many at wedding expos, I came across Let’s Frolic Together through Pinterest and of course other wedding websites. I noticed her style, her passion, her technique at capturing the moment. She also got married at our venue, which caught my attention, as well as stalking her everywhere on social media outlets. What was supposed to be a 30min, intro at her home/​studio, turned into a 3 hour laughing, storytelling, and bonding afternoon. We were hooked. we booked her without hesitation. Our package we chose included the engagement session that turned out better than I could have imagined the pictures to look. Between that time and our wedding, my office also booked her to do our portraits and images to update our website, and those also turned out spectacular. Now for the Big Day! She brought an assistant and we laughed and celebrated and got pictures that will last us our lifetime. The way she handled my very large and very scattered brained family and of course the friends during the reception was so fun, and she and her assistant Katie fit into our group as if they were guests at the wedding. She turned around a ‘teaser’ album on facebook for us with about 20 pics the next day and I cannot wait to share the rest of the album! Looking back at the pictures, I am back to that day that I felt the most beautiful I have ever felt, the happiest I have ever been and of course seeing moments that whizzed by me, I can sit and look at and relive them as if it were happening all over again. we HIGHLY recommend Jasmine and Let’s Frolic Together. I cant wait to book her for our anniversary photos as the years come by and of course family photos as we grow. She is professional, FUN, respectful, easy-​going, talented beyond words can ever explain and well, just overall amazingly Awesome!

We have two very rambunctious dogs and she was so patient with both of them. We now have spectacular shots of our favorite fur balls too! We defiantly plan on coming back.

We were so amazingly fortunate to have worked with Jasmine for our engagement and wedding photos. She has such a fun energy and it was such a delight to work with her. We spent weeks comparing different photographers around the LA area but they all started blending together. It wasn’t till we extended our search that we found Jasmine out in SD who completely stole our hearts – with both her amazing personality and her portfolio. The travel fee to have her work in LA was almost negligible in the grand scheme of things and well worth it to have her.
My wife and I are completely camera shy, so we wanted a photographer that could bring us out of our shells without relying on cheesy, obviously posed shots. From the moment we met with her, we felt relaxed and comfortable and had complete confidence in her abilities. Our wedding and everything related was Harry Potter themed and she kept us super excited and helped us stay true to our vision. For our engagement portraits, we imagined an enchanted forest backdrop. Despite the summer drought, she was able to help us find a locale and get the shots just right to turn the California gold into a lush and lively green. She was very quick to turn around the photos and they looked great. She provides a digital copy of all of the high res photos taken. No picking through proofs for a set number of photos, you get all of them.
During our actual wedding, Marin worked as the second shooter and was equally pleasant. Both arrived ahead of schedule and at the ready. We had a lot of requests for specific shots, and Jasmine was completely accommodating. We had a large amount of family attending the wedding as well, and she was very organized and vocal to make sure the traditional family portraits went smoothly and quickly. It has only been 3 days since our wedding and Jasmine’s already posted teaser photos for us. We can’t wait to see the rest!
Throughout the whole wedding process, Jasmine was one of the easiest people with which to work. Her communication was always lightning fast and her pictures absolutely fabulous. We cannot say enough positive words about Jasmine and would highly recommend her without any reservation.

Jasmine is incredible! We couldn’t be more happy with our decision to have her capture our dream wedding. She has a great, artistic eye and has a way of capturing the beauty in everything. Not only is she super talented, but she is such a pleasure to work with. Her joyful and upbeat spirit is so refreshing and she is truly a wonderful person. I was lucky enough to finally get to work with Jasmine on a beautiful styled shoot for a new wedding venue. Being the makeup artist, I am usually the last to know anything, but Jasmine, partnered with The Dainty Lion to put together a fantastic shoot that turned out amazing and they, together kept everyone informed of the vision, timeframe, and all the fun details! Jasmine’s light airy way of capturing simple but elegant style seems so effortless — but we all know its not! :) She does it so well — its no wonder she is one of the most sought after photogs in socal! Not to mention she is such fun and so humble but has wit for days — love that!

I immediately got in contact with Jasmine when I viewed some of her photos on her website because her photos are SO beautiful and inspiring! I knew I wanted her to be my photographer for a shoot I’ve been wanting for my husband and I. She made me feel really comfortable and confident about the being in front of the camera prior to the shoot because I consider myself a bit camera shy. & I knew I wanted my surroundings to be in a forest like area, and she made that happen (mount laguna)!
The day of the shoot my husband and I had so much fun. When she says she’ll be documenting an adventure, she will be because it definitely felt like such a fun adventure to us!
Working with Jasmine was such a fun, professional, easy going thing! We got our photos and immediately printed out our favorite one to be hung on our wall! I will totally be in contact with Jasmine again because nothing compares to her passion for capturing two people having a great a time. In the end, the results were priceless.

Don’t excuse brevity for lack of enthusiasm but to keep it short and sweet: we love our wedding photos. Jasmine did a great job. Both of us work in film and we are picky, but the photos are great. The experience was great. She’s professional and fun and worth every penny.

I would give 6 stars if I could. This review is long over due, however I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Jasmine and her photography. Jasmine shot our wedding over the summer and we were so impressed by her talent, flexibility, and enthusiasm. She was SO flexible with us, captured one of a kind moments, and truly was a gem. After the wedding was over I can’t tell you how many guests came up to me and said «your photographer was amazing! So sweet and funny.» If you want candid photos of your wedding day, don’t look any further. You won’t be disappointed!!!

Jas is great. I was really impressed with her from the get go. I had an insane, horrible schedule for a couple of months in the midst of planning. Jasmine met with me early on a Sunday morning at her house. It really demonstrated her commitment to her work and how she builds trust with her clients. We had a great session and my fiancé and I are so happy with the results. I would recommend jasmine to anyone I know. Thanks jas!

Judging by the other 5 star reviews, I’m not sure I can say anything different here. We also had an amazing experience working with Jasmine.
We were looking for someone who captured the moments as they really were. My husband and I are not super comfortable in front of the camera, and get really uncomfortable when people tell us how to be and look and start posing us. So we were looking for portfolios that looked candid and spontaneous.
I met Jasmine at a artist workshop in San Diego and kept her info handy because I really loved her work. When it came time for my fiancée and I to find a wedding photographer I showed him her work and he was convinced as well.
We also wanted a photographer who would be comfortable shooting film. Jasmine even used a vintage medium format camera that completely blew us away. I’m working on our wedding album now and it’s been so hard trying to narrow down the photos because they are all just so good. I can’t recommend Jasmine highly enough.

So much talent and delightfulness in one person. Amazing!
We were lucky enough to be the recipients of a giveaway photoshoot with Jasmine and celebrated our anniversary by taking some incredible photos with her. Right away I got to hang in her (suuuper cute) studio, and discuss life, and eventually photography. She is passionate about her work and especially passionate about creating a connection with her clients. By the time we were in front of the camera it felt so normal to be hanging out together. Essentially she came along for our anniversary date and it still felt completely natural.
Jasmine really wants to capture you as a couple in your element. I so appreciate her philosophy of photography. She wasn’t going to take us to locations that didn’t have meaning for us, just because they were pretty. She doesn’t put you in strange poses. She observed us interact as a couple and gently guided to capture some beautiful photos. My creative husband has a lot of opinions on photography — and he keeps looking at the photos and remarking on Jasmine’s talent!
Jasmine is a beautiful mix of a really, really kind person and a talented professional. We highly highly recommend!

THE BEST.
When my husband and I were on our search to find a photographer for our engagement session and wedding, we almost gave up hope. Then we found Jasmine at Frolic Storytelling.
From the very first email, throughout the whole process (and we all know that ANYTHING having to do with weddings are a process) she was nothing but fantastic. She was ultra helpful and went out of her way to make sure we felt comfortable in front of (and away from) the camera. Not only were all the photographs absolutely breathtaking visually, she went a step further and captured the moments. You know, those moments that just happen for a split second… somehow, she is able to capture them and truly tell a story with her photographs.
She has an incredible personality that makes you feel like you’ve known her your whole life and is super rad to simply be around. Truly, if I could hire her to follow me around and document my entire life I would do so in a heartbeat.
My husband and I plan on having her photograph all of our major (and thus picture-​worthy) events in our life. We have discussed it and know that she takes the best photographs, tells the best stories, and can truly evoke emotion and memories with her work. Anniversaries? Baby? Big birthdays? We plan on flying her out to wherever we are. She’s. just. that. good.
I recommend her to ALL of my soon-​to-​be-​married friends and will continue to do so. She won’t let you down. It’s jut not possible.

We’ve done two family photo sessions with Jas, and it’s been a fantastic experience, highly recommended! She’s very easy to work with, and most of the shots will just happen naturally without feeling posed. Her style is whimsical and artistic, and we’ve been thrilled with the results.
We get lots of compliments on the photos, and they capture moments we never realized happened.

I cannot say enough good things about Frolic Storytelling. Jasmine was our wedding photographer this past summer. Jasmine is not simply a photographer, she is an artist and a visual storyteller. She is able to weave a narrative in a way I have rarely seen before. Her passion for telling your unique story is what makes her brilliant. If you want an album of staged, rigid portraits, then Jasmine is not for you. But if you want to see your story come to life in an organic, honest, loving way you can’t do any better than Jasmine.
Jasmine’s manner is very winsome. My husband was VERY skeptical about photos in general and an engagement session… HA! But he was won over almost immediately by her authenticity and natural way. I could go on and on but Jasmine’s work truly speaks for itself, check it out! And if you’re considering her for an event or a frolic session, don’t hesitate she’s the best. And she travels too! She was very accommodating for our wedding in the north Los Angeles area.

Her pictures –not only mine but also others– make me feel good when I look at them. I love her work. I’ve never seen any pictures that I don’t like on her website. She makes everyone look great and photogenic.
What makes her different from other photographers is she’s simply interested in her clients. She treats you like you are a good friend of hers. When she photographed me, my husband, and our 6 months old Buckaroo, she listened to our story. She was interested in us, and she gave her 100% attention to us and our surroundings. She even remembers things that I even forgot that I told her. She captured things that most people (or photographers) would overlook, or miss. She never forced us to do certain things. She just observed us, and captured our story in a simple, beautiful and organic way. We were so amazed when we saw our pictures online. I cherish our family pictures that Jasmine took. It was my «mother’s day gift» to myself. I am planning to ask her to take pictures of us as our family grows.
