I took my old car to their shop today for AC inspection and problems with oil leakage.
The adviser, Mr. Wright and the Technician, Mr. Aradio were very friendly, helpful, and honest.
They gave me both inspection absolutely free!
I am sure I will be charged $ 100 or more for that kind of service anywhere else.
I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs help on their cars.

After living with half our air conditioning working in our 2007 Santa Fe with the dual climate control and taking it to Drew Hyundai (now Penske) asking them to check it out (car was still under warranty when we started having issues) they said everything was fine and they could not find any problems. Months later we took it back still with same issue but now car was just out of warranty and Drew told us the climate control panel was bad and needing replacement at approximately $ 900 dollars. We took our issue to corporate as we were telling them it wasn’t working properly for quite a few months to no avail and they refused repairing anything under warranty. We took our car to Motec and they did an air conditioning wellness check knowing we were expecting some expensive air flow diverter thingy. To our surprise and happiness, they only had to recharge the system and the dual climate was working as expected for just over $ 100. I’ll be visiting Penske as the service person still works there and tell him about how we saved about $ 800. After we returned to pick up the car, Steve was nice enough to spend some time with me looking at my Cooper while I asked about some issues I was having with it. After we return from our trip to the desert, I’ll be bringing in the Cooper for some much needed maintenance. I highly recommend Debbie and Motec for your service needs. You only get one chance at honesty and Motec has held that trust every visit and I expect nothing less in the future.

I’d recommend this auto service to everyone. I’ve been going here for about 6 years now and always completely satisfied. I was a little hesitant when it was sold to Debbie but no need to worry cause Debbie takes real good care of me and my 2001 Chrysler with over 140,000 miles on it. I took my ’07 MINI Cooper to MOTEC because one of the local MINI dealerships (MoE) had told me that I needed the front and rear brake rotors and pads replaced. Debbie, the owner (who I know from the West Coast MINI club), quoted me a much better price and described the different parts that she would use (German Zimmerman rotors rather than the MINI-​branded ones).
When John, the service tech, was able to look at the car, he and Debbie told me that any brake work was premature. The pads were still at 6 mm and they didn’t recommend replacement until they got down to 3 mm. So, we moved onto the next issue: the primary oil feed pipe for the turbo (it was leaking a lot of oil). They replaced the pipe (using a MINI-​branded part) for less cost than the dealership. They also cleaned up all of the oil that had been leaking. John showed me the old pipe and we even opened up the bonnet and looked at the new pipe and turbo.
I was very impressed. I came away with two qualities for MOTEC: honesty and thoroughness. Debbie isn’t going to suggest work that your car won’t need. John will be thorough as he works on your car.

I just happen upon this shop. We were headed out of town on a long trip cross country and my baby BMW 330i zhp 2004 needed some TLC. So I decided to give it a try. Well I was really impressed by a few things that went on while I was there. First: I was in and out, as were the other customers, not to say that they were overly fast, but I didn’t feel like my time was wasted. Second: there was another BMW owner who was in for a service, and the Motec specialist found a loose hose and fixed the check engine light with out even asking. That’s going above and beyond. Third: not to say Motec gives away free stuff, but as I was paying for my service, Motec filled my AC and added it in to my oil change and service. And they actually fill and check your fluids and tire pressure. No need for me to take my car to the BMW dealership to get humped. Ladies… Motec is owned by a cool lady. So I felt like I was in great hands. Thanks guys at Motec! See u in a few months when I get back from my 3 month road trip!

Brought my nissan murano here for some idle problems, as soon as I walked in I was greeted with a happy welcome. Got my diagnostic for free, they told me what was wrong and what the problems were, and gave me recommendations of what should be done. Not once were they pressuring me to let them service my car. They were kind, and very descriptive of the issues, and even their manager, debbie, walked over and threw in her opinion. To top it off, I got 10% off. I will be coming back here for anymore car problems.

I’ve read lots of horror stories here about dishonest mechanics who charge for unnecessary work. I can confidently say that will never happen at Motec. I took my Outlander in for what I thought was a problem. Debbie and her crew examined the car and took it for a test drive but couldn’t find anything wrong, and didn’t charge me! Honesty is the most important quality in a mechanic. Motec is HONEST. Highly recommended!

My Mini Cooper JCW Clubman was in need of a new clutch and I brought it to MOTEC Autocare. They took great care of me and my car and I highly recommend going there! Debbie has won my business with her friendliness, honesty and quality of work.

this is the second time I have been to Motec Auto Care. This time I had to take in my dad’s cars to repair the heater. Awesome service and very fair prices. Debbie (the owner) is very professional and nice as can be. I truly feel that I can trust and depend on them. Being a woman that means a lot to me.

I took my car into MOTEC for its 100,000 mile service. The service was great and they were super friendly. They clearly explained what work my car needed, and even showed me the old parts afterward. They even took me to and from work, which I really appreciated. The shop is a woman-​owned business, which is totally awesome. I will definitely come back.

I know Debbie from her previous position at Black Forest Porsche/​BMW. We have sent company vehicles in and the service was exemplary. I took my Nissan XTERRA in Monday for noisy brakes, they did the front brakes, rotors, checked the rears, rotated tires and changed the oil. Once again, the service was exemplary and Debbie is hard working and honest.
A note to those older reviews, Debbie Wright recently purchased the business and is working hard to overcome the past owners shortcomings.

I was told about this shop from someone in the Facebook group I belong to. The owner, Debbie, was very nice over the phone and offered to check the car for free. I came the next day and was very pleased with the attention she showed me. Apparently, the business had a change of ownership this January and some old reviews might not truly reflect the current state of the shop and its service. I got the confirmation to do the work that was needed to be done on my car and although, I found a deal to fix the issue at another place, I will gladly keep this place in my address book for posssible future work.
P. S. Debbie was very attentive and even took me to the car to show exactly what issues my car has and also pointed out that my tires treads were really worn… However, she didn’t push me to get any services and I liked that :)

I have an old 300ZX, and Motec has been THE only repair shop that’s allowed to touch my baby for a few years. Everybody is sweet & friendly, from the owner to mechanics. Most importantly, no ripping-​off or pushing for sales. Being an old car, surely it could use 10’s of thousands of dollars of «repairs and improvements» if I asked them «what else could be done». They may suggest this and that, but they understand my immediate needs and never push what’s not neccesary.
Obviously they’re proud of their work, showing they care through excitement and a big grin in the face when I pick up my car — –«Darn it, your car now runs like a Swiss watch!»
Do keep in mind no repair shop is God who can pinpoint the problem, know your budget, and fix it at a minimum cost in a day. They’re not a psychotherapist either when you’re distressed over a sick car.
MOTEC is a business of integrity. Always helpful, and I’ve never been disappointed by their work or how I’m treated there.

I come here for routine oil changes. I can always get my car in at my earliest convenience. The staff is always friendly and helpful, I will continue to bring my car here for routine maintenance and repairs.

Nobody likes the costs associated with the upkeep of their vehicles. Let’s face it. When something breaks, we all just get frustrated. Where do I take it? I know nothing about engines, transmissions, or what have you, will they take me to the cleaners? Well, David and Sheila at MOTEC are the best. Really. You get the straight scoop, 100% of the time, and they do a great job. The work is quality. Not just duct tape and a smile. They are legitimate, and wholly understand that good work results in return customers. Not «let’s work them over once just to get the money then split» kind of attitude. They think long term. Moreover, they’re about the nicest people you’ll meet. When it comes to fixing your vehicle, look no further. MOTEC is the way to go. Take it from me, I drive from South Orange County, all the way to San Diego, to have them work on my car. And there are easily 5 places in my neighborhood that I can go to… I just choose not to. Some things are just worth the extra effort…

In and out in less than 15 minutes with the information that I wanted. It also didn’t cost me anything. As I mentioned above, I’ll DEFINITELY come back for transmission work if I need it.
